We stopped by in Malang to visit Mount Bromo. We walked from the train station, which was a little far, but we were too tired to deal with taxi drivers who target us because we're foreign female travelers. We arrived very early, so the hotel staff allowed us to sleep in the lobby. When we finally got to the room, it was a relief how clean it was. The place felt brand new! But two issues: the room is TINY and the sun hit the room directly so it was very hot. Not much we can do about the space, but thank goodness for thick curtains and strong AC. The hotel staff were very helpful about giving us advice on restaurants to visit and a good tour company for visiting Mount Bromo. Sadly, due to volcanic activity, we could not get close to Mount Bromo so keep that in mind if you visit Malang for Mount Bromo.

Good Location”
The location is good, since it is close by to central of Malang city. Room was small, didnt have any cupboard. Its more like city hotel. Bed was comfortable. For standard bed like that, they provide 4 pillows, the good ones. Spacious parking. Breakfast was so so, but quite good variety.

Located in the heart of Malang, it was easy to find online taxis or regular taxi nearby. The staffs are friendly and helpful and the room was nice and clean. In-room facilities were limited but convenience. Really a great deal for money. Not a twopenny one!

Price of the room is cheap. the room is little bit small, but it's enough for 2 person. The cleanliness of the room an the bathroom is very good, but there's no hairdryer at the bathroom. The room is comfort, and the hotel is near the "alun-alun malang", gajah mada plaza, and mandala.

Clean budget hotel with an extra touch”
Because we only use it as a sleeping shack, it is relatively satisfactory. Everything is quite clean and still in good condition. But because our room is in the front part of the hotel, the noise from the road is not well insulated. But after 21.00 it is relatively quiet. The room space is enough for two people with cupboard etc. Unfortunately they only give you a small table with one chair. So basically you do everything on the bed.

They change they name,before they call it CitiHub Hotel..now just Alimar Hotel, so its quite ok,coz hv CitiHub standard..clean room,bit small so u can not hv many luggage in your room, good bed with 4 pillows, only the staff..they need to improve their skill

Acceptable”
This is a really complicated area, good people don't tend to stay for a lot of good reasons. The hotel is a great building, nice restaurant, but Malang is such a center of corruption and connections to trafficking groups around Los Angeles, and the locals are so predatory, it's a dangerous area for anyone who isn't involved in prostitution, extortion and meth trafficking. The housekeeping staff are a multigenerational street gang, the administrative staff assist the pimps playing chess. Indonesia is cheaper than Mexico, and closer to India, a lot of Mexicans involved in west coast crime and the meth supply chain are in Malang as well. They're watching.

Affordable, Clean and Great Location”
It waa a great place to stay if you are on a budget. I stayed in a petit room and it was good enough for me. Staff were polite. Everything is clean. Breakfast is okay. Would definitely recommend to others.

Awful treatment from staff”
I stayed here for 2 nights. It was fine until the day I checked out. I was assisted by a female receptionist. I told her that I was rushing to catch my flight & I needed taxi. She said she could not accomodate. She gave the number on a piece of paper and aksed me to call it myself. I needed it quick.. I was so disappointed by the lack of effort because the other day, it was doable. A different receptionist asked for help from hotel security to fetch me a taxi which was passing. I found it faster than calling the company. However I ended up calling the cab. While waiting, I grabbed something to eat with my breakfast voucher. But there was no one in the breakfast counter so I asked for the receptionist help again. She said she could not leave the reception desk and asked me to wait; she knew I was rushing. I carried 4 big bags, standing there almost cried & she did not even care. Long story short, I did not have time to finish my breakfast and I missed my flight. It was such an awful way to end my stay there. Super disappointed. It was probably one of the worst experience! For the hotel management, I think your trainees were even more helpful & friendlier than your senior staff. Not sure if you have SOP in service providing, but it clearly failed to accommodate the hygiene needs of your customer.

The service was poor”
That night i asked the hotel to change our bathroom's doormat because it soaking wet that we cannot use it anymore But they refuse it because we only stay one night. And when i ask for a hair dryer they dont have it.
