Close to all the waterways and bus stops and nearby the Famous St. Mark's Square, guests will enjoy a stay at the Hotel Amadeus. Large, comfortable rooms filled with charm and light are also graced with a full size bath. Enjoy a morning coffee from the balcony rooms and soak up the ambiance and tranquility of this 1800s landmark. Be spoiled by the outstanding nature of the staff. Courteous with great attention to detail, the staff is just part of the special experience guests will remember. Enjoy all Venice has to offer and be thankful for the aspirations of a hotel owner in Lista Di Spagna, Italy.
"I must say that the breakfast is nice an excellent one."

Very good”
Near to Milan train station, many shops and restaurants nearby. The breakfast is very good with variety of choices. The cons is though the room is clean but is dusty where nose block and eyes itchy, suspect from the blanket. Overall it still a very good stay and nice staff thy give advice. Oh ya another thing, we check in at night and due to busy-ness the staff ask us to left our passports on counter and go to room to rest which give us a goose bump and I don’t think it is wise to do so, so we decided to wait at the lobby and at the end the staff over the counter done it quite fast, maybe done for us first. Just something to be aware but again overall, the hotel is a good choice.
Excellent”
The hotel is quite old but clean. Located near Venezia St.Lucia train station which is great because you dont need too drag your luggage around or across the bridge.
Excellent hotel”
A very old hotel that probably 100+ years. (I think most building in Venice is 100+ old) The hotel have done some renovation work and thus the room and the bed is quite new. However there is lack of power plug in the room. We have to remove the plug for the TV to have plug to charge our mobile phone. The hotel use traditional Key and they have put a very heavy weight iron on the key to prevent you from leaving the hotel with the key. One couple forget to leave the key at the concierge and the hotel employee chase the couple for the key. A bit weird if you ask me. Overall, I am very satisfy with my stay at Amadeus Hotel
Way above expectation”
We did not have much expectation for Amadeus Hotel because it was the cheapest hotel that we can find and there was not much reviews. They did not reply to our early check in request, nonetheless, that's the only negative this about them. When we arrived at the morning, the room is ready for early check in. We were so thankful for the arrangement. On top of that, there was luggage porter assisted us to carry our luggage and led us to our room. The room is big and comfortable. There is a day bed, coffee table with chairs. The bath room is big and clean. It is definitely value for money and we were lucky to pick Amadeus.
Hotel not worth single star”
Staff of hotel extremely arrogant, can not expect any hotel from hotel. Asked for umbrella to borrow as it was raining outside, hotel staff asked us to go outside n buy. Asked for one spoon hotel staff suggested to buy from outside. Four star hotel but rooms don't even have tea kettle. Breakfast quality is third class. Rooms are very old, with no room heating. Aircons does not work. Hotel confirmed early checking on booking but straight away refused to provide any room even to freshen up even when we saw many guests checking out. You can book this hotel if you want to spoil your holidays
I was told no room available when I produce Agoda's cfm letter. ”
Since there is no room they are willing to transfer me to another hotel far away from central location. I refused their offer as I have to incur additional cost by taking river taxi. After my refusal i was relocated to another hotel across the road. Agoda should ensure this kind of situation should not arise. Unpleasant stay.
Good breakfast ”
We were here in mid October. I would not recommend it to a friend because the first night the room was very hot. The air-conditioner does nothing but blow a fan. If we opened our windows to cool off, then it was noisy. The clerk at the desk did print off some copies that we needed.
MAJOR THEFT! ”
There were people who broke into 3 rooms in our floor!!! They took the safety boxes from those rooms and these people also searched the luggages of the guests! It was a disaster! The hotel is totally not secured and unsafe to stay in. Lucky that our room was sparerd. Considering this is an expensive hotel, it’s not good. Totally not the place to stay in. Security should come first. We couldn’t sleep every night being worried that someone can break in put room anytime. What a bad experience!!
An hotel close to the Venice entrance”
This is an hotel that you can pick up for the price, the room although was a little bit small it was confortable, the staff was a really helpfull. It was a pity that the hotel has not a restaurant, if you need a hot water you will go to Principe Hotel, is part of the group. But I must say that the breakfast is nice an excellent one.
Well...Venice!”
Rather small space, staff not very helpful & breakfast not really satisfactory. It looks nice when you come in but is not much more than a better hostel. You could call it overpriced for what it is but well...you are in Venice. Would not stay there again.
Fantastisk hotell...💓💓💓”
Close to transport in and out Venice.....Great room....location superb....quite as we got the garden view...friendly and helpful staff...breakfast good....over all stay...like 5 star...will comeback again to this hotel...I had been to Venice twice
Just ok”
Room comfortable but very tired and in need of refurbishing and bathroom more so. Great location close to station and waterbus to airport. Aircon just coped to keep room cool during our stay. Good breakfast selection and helpful staff made for a reasonable 4 nights but overall feel that the 4 star rating is not really justified as we expected a higher standard for the price paid.
Perfect hotel for weekend city break”
The hotel was clean and comfortable, the location is perfect just next to train and bus stations. Position is perfect for you walking into other districts allowing you to explore areas off the beaten track but is also close enough to St Marks square that you can easily walk to. Breakfast was ok, the hot option wasn't appealing personally, but there is plenty of cereal and pastries to ensure that you will not go hungry. All in all a great hotel to consider if booking a trip to Venice and one I would certainly use again.
Loved the hotel. Two minutes walk from train station. ”
Fabulous breakfasts. Perfect location to start your stroll around this amazing city. Be careful of pickpockets. Be aware as in any city. Prices for items are much higher near popular tourist spots. Get prices then compare with smaller local shops. And don't forget to haggle. If you buy expensive items like good jewellery, make sure you get the required paperwork to claim your tax refund at airport as you leave the country. It's worth it. The shops will explain.
Nice hotel, good location, lovely breakfast.”
Stayed here for four nights, it's in an excellent location. Easy access to boat stops around the island and also from the Airport. Guglie is the stop from the airport (Alilunga). Get a speedboat back, expensive but a brillant ride back to airport you'll be there in 30mins stress free :) The hotel room we stayed in was quiet, you can open the windows has air con, although wasn't needed in April just right. Th aircon might struggle in the hotter months. The breakfast location area is excellent, table and chairs are fit for a wedding baquet, has windows looking out into the garden area, have a coffee aftwerwards outside take in the sun. The breakfast area is very well manged eveything gets refilled, taken away etc. The breakfast manager 10/10 Hot food was: Scrambled eggs or bacon. Cold food, sliced cheese, ham, cereal, fresh fruit (not from tin) juices, yogurt, bread rolls, different crossiants, cakes etc Toaster was missing! Get a toaster please! Excellent coffe machine and a huge selection of different teas. For lunch/dinner try Brek down the road (self service has some lovely food all cooked fresh) had steak cooked in front of me, with no service or cover charge. Also, the brillant pizzeria Ae Oche which serves brillant pizzas, pasta, great drinks selection, good value. As a general rule for eating avoid any place with anyone stood outside, they have poor overpriced food with high cover and service.
Great location, employees. I would stay here again”
It was a short straight easy walk from the train station, I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door, checked in very quickly by the outgoing staff, they insisted on carrying my only bag for me, and showed me where everything was in the room. Everything was clean, warm, and shiny. And yes, they have an elevator for those who are too tired to take the stairs. I received knowledgable and sincere great advice on what to see in Venice. The included breakfast was a very nice buffet with high quality items. Nice, clean, neat dining area and hope they open the courtyard for breakfast in the warmer season. After a very full day of sightseeing and getting lost a couple times Venice (It's part of the experience), I returned to the hotel and asked for advice on a nice restaurant, even if only a direction to walk since there were so many places to eat close by. The Concierge recommended a place that was less than a 10-minute walk and very easy to find using his great directions. It was small, quiet, on the water (many are...), a view of the sunset at the end of the canal from my patio table, a variety of boats occasionally passing by, not inexpensive but probably the best dining experience I may have ever had. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are in a rush, but if you are ready to relax for a couple hours at the end of your day, in a restaurant with a great menu, delicious desserts, Casa Bonita is would be hard to beat. I decided to catch a very early train to Rome after my stay and was planning to leave before Hotel Amadeus serves breakfast. When I asked if there was anywhere I could grab a coffee and something to eat nearby before 7am, they kindly offered and provided me a box lunch. It was a very nice variety of breads, jams, spreads, fruit, juice, ... you name it, I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised. In a heartbeat, I would stay here again and recommend Hotel Amadeus to everyone.
It's not 4 stars hotel, but it's ok”
The hotel was very easy to find, because during our last time we spent a lot time looking for our hotel. The hotel doesn’t worth 4 stars, the room’s facilities were quite old, you can some weird stroke marks on the walls. The stuff was nice and polite, the breakfast is nothing special, but quite nice. The hotel is 10 min by walk from the railway station and the street is vibrant.
Disappointing”
Tiny room, shower cabin impossibly small for a proper shower, meagre breakfast, deadly slow internet. Grossly overpriced.
Exceptional”
Nice location, few meters away from Sta. Lucia Train Station, easy to find. Staff is nice. breakfast is fine.
Amazing location”
Amazing location in the heart of everything, but still quiet in the room, close to train station, lovely room, great experience!
