A striking design hotel, both inside and out, Hotel Angeleno is heaven for art lovers and travelers who appreciate the finer things in life. The hotel features a complimentary wine hour for guests. The convenient location is in the heart of Brentwood, just minutes from Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and the San Fernando Valley and a short drive from J. Paul Getty Center and UCLA. Modern rooms have first-class furnishings with Italian bed sheets, private balconies, and amenities including a 30" plasma TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a CD player. Great hotel, nice room clean and modern”
A nice hotel that is clean and modern and central for most tourist destinations. Downside it was a little noisy as next to main road. I will definitely stay here again.
Noise from Highway ”
You won’t get a good night of sleep here if you are not used to the highway noise and neighbor noise. The room is very poorly insulated. You can hear someone cough, TV and we woke up to an argument next door. Towels are disgusting and I’m pretty sure either they were being used for cleaning hotel floor. Staff is not well trained.
A Great Place”
It is pretty good hotel. Nice and clean and quiet. It's just that the price is a little too high for the value.
There are very limited street parking places (only around 10 spaces) opposite to the hotel for overnight street parking so we had no other choices but to use Hotel valet parking. Would recommend to add additional USD34 per night parking into the budgeting when booking with this hotel.... Room was generally clean however found the check in staff on the night we checked in was a little impatient. He assumed us being potential hotel guests, we should know everything in advance and should not ask questions. .
Great services and very friendly hotel staff. ”
The staff are very helpful and always making sure we have a great stay there.
Decent Place ”
Not a bad hotel rooms are decent and the hotel has good facilities close to Hollywood, Venice and Santa Monica
Hotel Angeleno was a pleasant surprise. It is difficult to chose an affordable yet nice hotel when visiting a city for the first time. Hotel Angeleno has many nice features: a free wine evening reception, a constant supply of apples, nice rooms, free WiFi, great views, and a quiet relaxing restaurant on top.
Friendly staff and lovely rooms”
I had a v relaxing stay at the hotel. Bedroom was comfy and bathroom was great. The hotel is located in the middle of many motorways. I walked into the university area from the hotel and I felt totally safe.
It's a pretty decent hotel. Staff wasn't very nice when checking in but still satisfied. Room was quite big, bright and clean. The location is not very convenient though, we took Uber/Lyft every time we go somewhere.
The hotel's motto is "We are not Square", and they mean it. The staff, from the valet to the front desk person, are very nice. While it is right off the freeway, there isn't much around in way of walking distance for restaurants, and the rooftop restaurant is pretty pricey, so we used another service to bring in the meals. The gym and pool area are well kept. They only have valet parking and no self parking which is another $34 per night so be prepared to add that to your room rate. Have a nice wine service in the lobby for an hour each evening. Would definitely stay there again if I was in the area for work.
The hotel double charged my card and it took 3 days to refund my money. ”
The staff I spoke with to try to correct the hotels error was rude! I spoke with Jennifer R, and Maria M. They would not give their complete names and they both had nasty attitudes. As if I inconvenienced them except it was the other way around. When I asked for the manager they wouldn’t transfer me and said they could only leave him a message and had no idea if and when he would return my call. Needless to say my call was never returned by the manager, Rick Gluth. I’m very disappointed at the lack of customer service after an error the hotel made with my bank account. I would not recommend this hotel and I also plan to leave this message on yelp! Maria M
Great Place for any travel”
Great value also.
Nice property, extremely attentive, superior staff. No tipping hotel. Enjoyed the restaurant and view....appreciated staff’s help with Uber before and after concert. I was even able to have Uber added to our room tab. The room was spacious and comfy...very clean. The only negatives: freeway 405 noise....we faced the freeway so we expected it. We still slept well. Valet was required, $34 nightly. I did know this before going, so was not surprised.
From then time I entered the property, until check out, the entire staff was absolutely wonderful. Any request, or need I had, was met and exceeded, all with a smile and a sincere greeting. The room was always clean and welcoming upon my return and adequate in size. The bed was comfortable and had a unique touch to it, that I found interesting, not unfavorable. A very nice property, one I will use again and have already recommended. My stay did not provide me time to visit the restaurant or bar area, but I'm confident the guest service and quality consistency would have also been there too. Perhaps I will be able to visit them on my next visit. My overall opinion is a: 10 out of 10 positive experience/interaction, with nothing negative to report.
Never had such a noisy hotel ...”
While the room was clean, I never had such a noisy hotel. Hotel Angeleno is located directly near the highway. I stayed at many hotels directly near highways but never had such a noisy room.
Pros: Friendly staff, no tip policy, rooms nicely renovated, next to the highway Cons: Had to pay USD34 per day for parking, room space a little tight and beds were too small for 2 persons This is my second time staying here, but I might choose a different hotel next time due to the high parking fee.
Good, but parking is expensive and toilet door is frosted.”
Stayed here for the second time while doing a UCLA tour with a prospective student. Location was good for us as it was not too far from UCLA (we had walked there on our previous stay, it's about a 30 minute walk). Area around the hotel can get busy, as it is next to the 405. Biggest complaints - 1) Parking is $28! This increase occurred after we booked, so we didn't have to pay for it, but I think it's high. They only have valet parking - which was fine, didn't have to wait too long to get the car - but I prefer to park on my own. 2) The toilet/shower area has a frosted door, so you can see when someone is sitting on the toilet or naked, coming out of the shower! I hate this! So if you're traveling with friends, know that they can see what you're up to! The rooms were not very big, but they were clean and modern. Also of note, they state that they pay their employees well, so the employees do not take tips. My husband tried to tip the valet and he politely declined.
Clean but valet takes about 10 minutes. Keys were lost at one point. Bartender slow service. ”
Overnight food isn't available and the valet is slow. It takes about 10 mins to get your car. The location is good but the room is small for the price. Yes the room looks good but is rather small for a couple. Also there is no free valet. You actually pay for that, 50 dollars a day. Would not return.
