Very old and dirty”
When I checked in, the office was old and musty but the staff was cherrful and helpful. The room was a disaster. No place to hang clothes, bugs, small room and the phone did not work. Of course, being right across from train tracks, freight train every 11 minutes. I used my cell to call front desk and was told they could not fix phone. When I pointed out the safety issues with no working phone, I was given apologies but no solutions. I immediately checked out and found alternate accommodations.

Reasonable choice”
A pretty basic motel, although it does have a pool. Just an ok place to stop on the way from A to B. Close to a railroad track, so might be noisy in some rooms.

Good customer service”
Front desk
It was okay, i arrived quite late so was tough at cold night to walk a bit from the amtrak station. The breakfast option is so so nothing special. I'm surprised that it's flagged as 3 star since they are even using plastic cups and plates at the cafe where you go for breakfast. One good thing is that the front desk was helpful and caring

best deal in flagstaff”
clean, not dated, free meals/drinks
this was the best deal in flagstaff, hands down. This is perfect for a launchpad to your flagstaff getaway. Free breakfasts, free social in the common area with 2 free drinks/day. The pool is great (but it was closed for the winter when we were there). theres a hidden jacuzzi too!

Close to downtown Flagstaff, excellent large rooms”
Away from traffic, romantic, quiet
My partner and I upgraded for another $10 from the standard room to a jacuzzi suite and it was well worth it. The block of these rooms were higher up the hill and away from all the noise. Most of the standard rooms were taken up by college grads or school sports groups, so expect there to be plenty of kids around if you pick a standard room to stay in. As we were further up the hill, there was little to no noise of the train that passed through the town up to 80 times a day, so was very pleased. One of the best relaxing hotel stays in America so far :)

Never again”
Cheap
The room was extremely run down and would certainly need some paint. This also applies to the bathroom. The washbasin had cracks and the floor in the bathroom was a kind of sticky as the fridge seems to have been defrosted and the water has been just left on the floor. We could not sleep well at all, since right below the hotel and across the street are railtracks and almost every half hour through the entire night cargo trains of endless length rumbled through. Breakfast slightly better than standard as there were scrambled eggs and fried minced meat.
