The onsen is nice, it was good that we stayed 2 nights and manage to get some clear night view on the 7th floor outdoor onsen. Overall satisfied with our stay and we all love the breakfast spread the most! Staff are polite and always ready to help.

hotel's facility is really weak, no gyam, swimming pool. The spring is small n the water like hot tap water! Even free bot of water cannot supply in each room. No shops can find nearby.

Our stay at Associa Takayama Resort is one of the best stay. We love their outdoor onsen overlooking the town. Their buffet breakfast have a wide variety of choices and I just love their Japanese buffet. Their room is quite big and so is their bathroom. We definitely will recommend this resort.

Cozy hotel for your vacation.”
Even the Hotel Associa Takayama Resort is a bit far from city, the Hotel provide a shuttle bus for convenience. It was a quiet cozy place that I were very impress. More ever the service is very good. My professor forgot IPad in my room, the Hotel sent my IPad to Tokyo right away with no cost. I will return to stay here again when I visit Takayama.

The hotel has pick-up services from JR takayama station every hourly starting from noon. Easy access to locate pick-up point as the landmark is the Associa café itself, the pick up is directly in front on the main road itself. Staff from Associa café friendly to advise the time of pick up also. So you can enjoy the little town before pick-up to hotel to relax at the onsen and spas. Nice time enjoying the views of the mountains/ Japan Alps from the hotel onsens!

This is my second stay at the Hotel Associa Takayama. My first stay was July 07. Since 07, I have stayed in 15 hotels with onsens, and this is one of the nicest. The variety and views are excellent. Since 07, the rooms had been updated and remodeled and were quite nice. The buffet breakfasts and dinners are wonderful. On our second dinner they offered us a wonderful steak treat for eating two consecutive nights. What a delightful gesture. Buffet dinners are not included and if it is a weekend, you need to make a reservation at least one day in advance. The shuttle is only once per hour so you must plan your coming and going times. The gift shop in the hotel is wonderful with quality okashi and omiyage (sweets and souvenirs). The prices are not more expensive than in town.

Perfect Onsen, Wide variety of Buffet Breakfast”
We love our stay at Associa. It is very relaxing especially with the onsen overlooking the city with an open view of the whole place. Perfect especially at night time. We just love it. The breakfast buffet has many varieties of food, from local Japanese food to international food. The staff are very attentive and friendly. They provide free shuttle service to bring you down to the city center. Very good experience. We definitely will go back and stay here if we are going back to Takayama.

We enjoyed the service provided by the hotel the moment we got off the hotel shuttle. A bell boy immediately attended to us, directing us to the check-in counter and carrying our bags to us. After check-in, we were even led to our room by the bell-boy who briefed us on breakfast and amenities the hotel offers. The onsen was also a plus point for the hotel. There were various pools of onsen offered and my personal favourite was an infinity pool overlooking Takayama. The breakfast spread was also sumptuous, it had western and japanese food. The breakfast venue also made you feel like you are in for some fine-dining. It also has french windows that allowed you to take in the scenery of Takayama as you dine. While the price is rather steep, it is worth every single cent you spend.

Adventure in Takayama”
My wife and I came to Japan to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. After being in Tokyo for six noghts we took the train to Takayama to spend two nights at the Associa Hotel which got good reviews on Trip Advisor.com. Our arrival and check-in went smoothly as there was an Associa shuttle bus there at the train station to take us to the hotel. Our stay was pleasant as was the town nearby with its local crafts. We will return to Takayama in a future trip to Japan but may consider a more in town location.

a luxury resort hotel, amazing onsen and food”
- stayed in a twin room for 2 nights because at time of booking, they had no more double room. - impressive!!! large large room! equivalent of about 3 regular sized double room of a business hotel in japan. even bigger than the other hotel's twin room. - good size bathroom, fully size tub, vanity bench is big enough for 2 sinks. and very clean. - comfortable bed, but could definitely use with a few more pillows. but we're not fuss because we're pretty knackered by the end of each day that we'd go to the onsen and then back in the room and straight to sleep. - onsen!!! love it love it love it!!! big and clean and with open!! would definitely stay there again and highly recommend for anyone who loves onsen - check in at 3pm. not any earlier. - buffet breakfast was amazing. japanese and western food, juices, coffee. many many many choices. absolutely loved it! - services was great. some inconsiderate western tourists snaps some eggs and coffee order to the waiter and he was confused since it's a buffet bar, not a la cart, but he still took the order and had it served to one inconsiderate woman...who didn't thank him. - there is an hour shuttle bus services to and from train station, after 6 i think it was every 15 minutes till about 7pm..i think..can't quite remember. - we paid about for 2 nights and it was definitely worth it. but we would step it up next time and try a different resort for next time. - location is not so hot. if you have a look at any map you will find this hotel to be the furthest hotel from the main city. it would take about 40-45 minutes to walk to the old town. we've tried. good walk though.

Nice mountain-view onsen hotel”
We arrived late at the hotel from Nagoya. It is about 5-10 minutes drive from Takayama town area. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was big by japanese hotel standard with tasteful decoration. The view from the window in the morning overlooking the town and the mountains was impressive. We also took a chance to try onsen for the first time. Luckily there was no other guest around lunch time so we did not feel too nervous. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices, japanese or western style. Will stay there again!

Hotel Associa Takayama Resort is located at the midhill of the Takayama. It fits driving travellers as ample parking spaces are provided. The quality, setting and choices of the onsen situated at the top floors is really impressive and comparable to those well established Onsen Ryokans.
