    ROACH MOTEL”

    Location

    I would not stay at this hotel again. The place was a bit creepy. Although no smoking signs are posted, I smelled smoke the entire time. Additionally, there was an abundance of roaches in my room. That's just nasty and entirely unacceptable. The noise from the street kept me awake. I changed to a different hotel the following day. There are better budget options available in Guadalajara.

    Good for where it was”

    it was only about 3 blocks from all the main sights, right on bar Street and close to public transport.

    It was a great location walking to see the sights. Our room was huge and fairly clean. We were right off the main stairs and people managed to have loud conversations all night long (might have something to do withbeing located in the red light area). But during the day, conveniently close to shops, sights, food. The room was good and if you speak Spanish, the staff seemed quiet helpful. It was just noisy and the immediate block was a little sleazy.
