We stayed here last april 19, 2019. We arrived early and the staff are very kind to allow to us to check in early without any charge. The breakfast serve is okay. One thing problem there is no elevator our room is in the 5th floor but the staff help us to carry our bags to our room. Location is good outside the hotel just walk around there are many banks, fastfood and convenience store.
old place outside center, good views, still ok”
Asuncion Hotel is an old, still living place, a bit away from the center, with well-equipped rooms, rustique wooden chairs and table, good bed, a wardrobe both with shelfs and hangers, fridge and kettle to brew coffee, tea or soups. The bath as hot shower. Interesting view from three rooms we have been in in May 2019. WiFi does not work in the rooms, you have sit out in the corridor. The breakfast is basic, the daily newspaper do not exist, not even the knowledge where to buy (600 m, at Rizal are venders on the street). And even a Saturday morning the urgently needed (and slowly advancing) renovation work started hammering at 7:20 am. No noisy work on Sunday and on Election day.
A bit way, old glamour, great views, still worth the money”

If I don't have any business matter to attend, I will just lie on the bed and sleep. The room, the bathroom are super clean. The food, well, it's delicious. If I will go back to Ilocos, I will definitely choose to stay there again.
Love it here”
Pros Very helpful ,accomodating and nice staff. All of their staff were really nice. Big clean rooms Hot cold shower Free coffee , electric water heater and water bottle. Comfortable bed. Cons No elevator but they are renovating so i think they will have 1 soon. The staff does help you with your baggage. No bidet Something is wrong with their CR, it smells at times but they will clean it if you complain.
The hotel that is worth staying ”
I've stayed in this hotel a number of times since 2014. What keeps me coming back? First, the front liner staffs are very accommodating. Second, the breakfast is sumptuous. Third, the location is just a walking distance from the City center. Fourth, the room is so nice - the bed, covers and pillows are fluffy and comfortable, Excellent WiFi, good lighting, hot shower with complete toiletries. The best value for money. Also, the hotel uses stairs which promote exercise 😁. Will always recommend to my friends.
Great value for money”
Pros: like the rooms and the beds.Great value for the price of this hotel.Breakfast was great with complimentary fruits for dessert. My kid and husband enjoyed playing billiards which is located at the lobby.Place is located near Plaza and restaurants. Hot shower is also available. Cons: No elevator. We have to hand carry all luggage at the 3rd floor which is quite inconvenient. CR has no bidet. Overall we slept comfortably in this hotel which is good for a stop over travelling to other resorts as part of our vacation itinerary.
If you want to experience the best of laoag city, this is the best hotel for you. the staff are great and the location is excellent. Feels like home. it is walking distance to all the attractions, bus terminals and must try restaurants in laoag.
Good place to stay in the city”
Rooms are clean and very spacious. There are not that many facilities but overall, a good place to spend the night. Breakfast was good too.
Hotek Asuncion April 8/9 ”
Got the room for my companions. My partner and I got another one. Room is quite big and complete with amenities - more than expected. I suggest the place for family b group tours. I got issues with the food - Breakfast for many people is so important as to "pack up calories" - Hotel should also be more generous with coffee not just the one-cup-per-person policy
Pros: + Room is quite big/spacious and clean , It’s my second time to stay here. My first stay here is when it’s still Laoag Renzo Hotel. + Nice hotel with best location + Friendly and accommodating staff. Cons: - Not a lot of food choices especially if you don’t eat pork/meat compared with my last stay here when it’s still Laoag Renzo hotel wherein there’s more choices of food. - The building looks a bit old outside but well maintained in the inside.
Pros: + Big rooms (we got Suite A which was a room good for 6 persons and was a very spacious one) + Located in the center of Laoag, near the church, parks, market, and popular restaurants + Friendly and VERY accommodating staff :) Cons - the hotel does not have an elevator, so it was difficult for senior citizens to go up and down the building - the place is old but well maintained; bathrooms could be improved/upgraded but they were clean - tv signal wasn't so good but this didn't really matter since we were out most of the time - the free breakfast buffet was okay, but they ran out of food by the time we availed of the breakfast at around 8am (the buffet opened at 7am), so we had to wait for some time for a new batch to be served
Almost perfect ☺ Food - limited choices but superb especially the Pancit Location - near convenience store; restaurants and other tourist attractions; they have their own parking with security guard staffs - nice and friendly Room - stayed in deluxe.. spacious and comfy bed; eventhough they dont have bidet spray.. thats not an issue. they dont have elevator so it is not advisable for seniors. will definitely go back 👍
Except for lack of elevator going up (we're at the 3rd floor) and down, we enjoyed immensely the accommodation at our room (junior suite), the food, people at the front desk and room boys, food servers and the assistance we received when I arranged for our low land tours.
Good Hotel but NO ELEVATOR”
the hotel & staff are nice & good. the rooms are big. found some stains on the beddings. but the ONLY thing we didn't like is that they don't have elevator, its hard for us because we have a pwd (with wheelchair) too hassle to bring/carry him up. the accomodation & check out runs smooth.
Value for money”
The free buffet breakfast is sumptuous. Location is good - near resto, mall, market and capitol. Staff are friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. CR is neat and hot/cold shower is functional. Ref and water heater is available. I don't know if this is a con, but no elevator is available even if you're at the 5th fl. You just have to enjoy reading motivational quotes about the positive side of climbing stairs. :) My choice of hotel in Laoag,
Pet Friendly Indeed”
We booked 2 Superior rooms. eaxh room good for 3 pax. we celebrated my bf's birthday in Ilocos Norte for the long weekend with fam. Part of the family are fur babies. We have 2 shih tzus and beagle. We made sure that we are responsible fur parents so we can come back. We had their cages/playpen our dogs can stay with us in our room Brandy the beagle wore a diaper coz she's not well trained. yep. our dogs stayed inside our rooms. how cool is that. Though we stayed for just a night we enjoyed our stay. If you have elderlies with you just make sure to call them and ask if they can assign you to 2nd level. That is what I forgot to do. Overall their facilities are okay. Each rooms have toiletries good for two. AC is very cold, hot and cold shower. no bidet tho. Ample supply of towels, personal ref, cable tv, complimentary pair of bottled water, 3in1coffee, bananas. They also have blow dryer. breakfast buffet for 3pax. Food is okay too, you can choose bet. fruit juice and unli coffee. Very thankful to this pet friendly hotel we are able to enjoy travelling with our beloved pets. Will surely recommend to other fur parents. Happy camper :)
Value for money”
The location is great! It's near the sinking bell tower, bus stations and convenient stores. The breakfast is also good. The room is equipped with the essentials that you need like blow dryer, towels, soap and shampoo.
Nice location and big rooms.”
I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is conveniently located in the city proper. My room was big. However, the bathroom sink's drain seems to be not working. There are also no elevators in the hotel. They encourage you to walk. While it is a healthy idea, there are times that you are just too tired to climb the stairs.
I found the Grand Regal Hotel a fantastic place. Its full of Davao charm and the staff are fantastic. I was initially startled by the carpeted floors but hey, it goes with the place, the rooms are spacious and the price is average and affordable. The hotel is located abot 7 Klm from. I found the Grand Regal Hotel a great place, good security with internet in rooms and of course the whole of the lobby area is free wifi also. My recommendation is to go there and enjoy the hotel.
Free Wi-Fi in all rooms!
