Good value hotel, a little dated but enjoyable & comfortable place”
The hotel offers comfortable stays, as the rooftop accommodates a swimming pool and there is an extensive breakfast available for those who book it. The rooms are a little dated and make you feel like you are in an 80's gangster movie, but overall a nice experience. The location is not the best as it's close to an entrance of a favela further up the hill. We had no issues but it's important to be very cautious in the area. Apart from that, there are a variety of restaurants around the hotel, mercados and espetinho :-)

Great Budget Stay”
Even though the hotel seems quite dated it was still a comfortable and affordable stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. To the right of the hotel you can see the Christ the Redeemer statue while to the left is the way to Copacabana beach. This hotel was ideal, for me, in both location and price.

I was robbed in this hotel. Hotel staff stole the safe from my bedroom with all my valuables.”
I was robbed in this hotel buy hotel hotel staff. From the moment I walk in I’ve noticed there was something wrong in that place. Afetar a week when I decided to spent a day out the safe was stolen from my bedroom with all my valuables belongings included my both Passaport. The police and the manage was called around 10 o’clock In the evening and after they read the door with the machine they probably found who stole as the police found the safe smashed inside one of the corredor which gives access to the swimming pool. I was on 13 floor the safe was found on 2 or 3, they didn’t managed to open and they didn’t have enough time to take out of the hotel. I requested to be transferred to another hotel after spent one night scared, stressed, and shocked to see the safe smashed and removed from the wall in my room. They had to contact someone on the next day to break in the safe as nothing could open without break. I have contacted my lawyer who will start a judicial case Agaist to hotel to request a full refund for the funds paid for my staying.

Save Your Money”
It's my job to travel. In almost 13 years of living in hotels around the world, this is in the top few worst hotels I've ever stayed in (I include in the competition, a Cambodian hotel where there was a turd under the bed). Check-in took an hour and 15 minutes. In the week that I stayed there, at no point was there not a queue at Reception filling the lobby. There is nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, that has been replaced in the hotel since the 1970s. Every single fitting and furniture needs replacing. I found sushi in the window frame when I opened the window. The cleaning staff come once every two days and when they come they don't change the sheets, just straighten them up a bit. I know this because all of the questionable stains I had seen on the sheets were put back in the same place every two days. You do get as much soap as you want though. The keycard I was given to my room barely worked. After two days of trying between maybe 50-100 times and only being successful twice at getting in the room, I went to Reception to change it (the only reason I didn't go sooner was because of the queues). Would you believe it, the guy at Reception suggested that my English wasn't correct and he was getting frustrated at my inability to speak what he thought was French (I am English. And with a distinctly non-regional accent at that). The room cards by the way, belong to a different hotel, which is great when you get lost in Copacabana and the taxi driver, to whom you have given the card for directions, correctly takes you to another hotel. The only replacement keycards available belonged to the same incorrect hotel. The elevator is dangerous. For your own good, if you've already booked before reading this, don't go anywhere near it. Just ask for a room on a low floor and take the stairs. Hold your breath when you do. The stairs is where the cleaners put all the garbage every day. You will hear everything from the street and likely half the things from the rooms next

nice hotel close to copacabana”
big hotel 4 blocks off copacabana beach. great deal for the money. not the most luxurious hotel in copacabana but who cares for this price. rooms are big and clean. breakfast buffet will blow your mind. rooftop terrace with a pool overlooking all of rio de janeiro and right by the mountains. very nice.

Great Hotel in Rio for the price”
The hotel is a short walk to Copacabana Beach, along the way you can stop off and do some shopping along Rua Barata Ribeiro and Av N.S. De Copacabana streets. Across the road is the metro subway station, which can be used for getting around Rio, it is very cheap. We found it very clean and safe to use. It was not a difficult subway to use, as all the trains have station guides near the doors. Also outside the hotel is a Juice bar, where you can get just about anything you want in the way of a juice. It also offers some snack food. There is a supermarket just a block down the road where you can purchase water, snacks and lots of other items. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

this was not my first time in rio, i stayed at another hotel just down the street from the atlantico last year and i noticed a big difference.the staff at the atlantico was very polite and friendly.the hotel was clean, includes nice breakfast,good water pressure"something not common in brasil", also the subway was right across the street and also several good places to eat, the beach and shopping was a short walk.

Atlantico Copacabana”
I have stayed at the Atlantico Copacabana many times, this being the first through Agoda. It isn't fancy, but then again it is right in the middle of Copacabana and you don't want to spend that much time there anyway. Excellent breakfast included in the morning and very close to the METRO rail line. A little noisy if your room is floor 6 or below, as all standard rooms face the street. It is the location which is key for this property

I really like the breakfast and the pool and small workout room on the 14th floor. The two elevators do not always both work, and this causes a real delay in getting up and down. When you are in the shower you can hear clearly everything said in the next rooms bathroom--so they can also hear you. Really like the staff at the front desk, who speak many languages and are very helpful as you find your way around Rio de Janeiro. The Metro being directly across the street is very helpful. Plus, there are a varity of restuarants in the area in all price ranges. The hotel is very 1980's, but there are three new rooms on every floor--although they are a little small. I feel safe in the hotel, and find the atmosphere very comfortable.

Atlantico Copacabana Hotel in Rio”
We liked this hotel. This hotel locates in center of Copacabana, but it is not beach front. It takes around 7 min to reach beach area. The staff was great. The room was big enough. Buffet breakfast was great. The hotel has small pool in the roof. Internet is not free, and costs 15 R for all day.I think this hotel is good for this money.

Atlantico Copacabana hotel is a very friendly place to stay at if you do not care about being directly at the beach. The staff is very friendly. The subway station is across the street. Good restaurants and shops are close-by.

The Atlantico is a good, reasonably priced hotel in Copacabana. It is directly across the street from the Siqueira Campos metro stop and four blocks from the beach, convenient to manner inexpensive restaurants. The staff is friendly and eager to help. The breakfast is about average for Brazil--good choice but not exceptional. The pool on the roof is small and the fitness equipment is "basic".

Good location, decent hotel”
Good value considering it's location and price. Couldn't really fault anything but don't expect luxury. Don't get me wrong - a good, well-priced hotel that served as an excellent base for us. There was a separate sitting area part of the room which made it feel a bit like a 'suite' but without kitchen facilities! Felt really safe walking to, from and around the hotel both day and night although we did not venture out after midnight on any evening. Would definitely recommend this hotel for location and value for money.

this is the 4th or 5th visit to the hotel atlantico its my usual stop off when i am in town for a short stay or in this case waiting for a rental apartment to open up i have also used agoda the last 2-3 stays as their prices are the best and have never had a glitch with the checkin
