Okay for a short stay”
We stayed here one night and the location was great, right next to the central La spezia train station; why we booked it. It was pretty basic and nothing flash, but okay and fairly clean. The room had no air con just a little fan, so it got pretty hot. The bathroom was very small and shared with other guests on the same floor.

I stayed just for a night in La Spezia to visit Cinque Terre and it was a nice and pleasant experience to stay here. It was really good that it was ok to leave my luggage and get it back when I had to move after the checkout. The room was very cozy and clean, and it was quiet enough to get a good sleep. I would definitely visit here again if I have a change to visit La Spezia.

The location is great, just opposite the LA SPEZIA train station, so it's convenient to hop on a train to Cinque terre or other places. Staff are friendly and you can leave your luggage there after checking-out. However, room is quite shabby and there's street noise if it faces the street. The drainage of the shared shower room we used did not work, so water accumulated in the shower place.Wifi only works at reception area of the ground level.

Facility inadequate and run-down”
The only good thing about this hotel is that it is very near to La Spezia Centrale railway station. The staff is ok. I was allocated a room at the 6th floor. There is no lift, and i have to carry my heavy luggage up 6 levels of stairs, and down when i check out. It is a horrible experience. They provide a big bulky old CRT TV that occupy the whole table, but it is not working at all. They should have got rid of the TV as it deprived me the use of the table. There are lightings in the room, but only the main one is working, the rest are defective. The facility and its accessories look run-down. It is no point putting up equipment and accessories for show only, what is important to user is that they are functional. They don't provide floor mat at shower area, and no cup for drinking or brushing teeth.

Small, basic hotel, great location for train”
This hotel had fabulous, friendly staff who looked after their guests. The building and rooms were old however they were clean and well maintained and were consistent with the buildings in the area. I would recommend this hotel for those wanting to travel into cinque terra with ease. If you can't stay in cinque terra itself, and need a place to base for spending the days in the towns this is perfect!

Big room. Shared bathroom, but we never had to wait for it. WiFi is only available in the lobby and at times it wasnt working well. Great place to stay if you are doing day trip to Cinque Terre. Train station is only a couple of minutes away walking

Close to the train station and not far from the centre. I had a nice little balcony. The bed was so uncomfortable i woke up with a sore back. There was no soundproofing of the room.

Very bad and is not cheap hotel!”
During my journey in Italy, I was in different hotels and b&bs. Some of them were very nice, others were extremely good, but this one was worth hotel ever in my life! The funny fact all these hotels were in the same price range, but quality was absolutely different. My conclusion: 1) it is allowed to smoke in the room! For smokers it would be nice, but for us it was awful, because we couldn't get rid off the smell and we asked to change the room. Other room was not so bad, but again with some strange smell. 2) People on the reception didn't speak English at all. Of course, we found the way to communicate, but I expected at least basic knowledge of English language. 3) There was a bidet in the room! WHY??? 4) This hotel is 2 stars, but anyway everything looks awful, the furniture is old. Also, don't expect any renovation. Everything there is like in very very very cheap hostel, but it costs 50-60 euro a day! I would recommend to spend additional 10 euro and take a normal b&b.

Old school”
Can not sleep well because of the toilet will be suddenly noisy and other guest is walking around when midnight. No escalator or lift, need to move the baggage to the room in third floor by walking the stair. The room's facilities and decoration are old school.

Cheap... but still not worth it”
This is obviously a budget hotel and it's right next to the train station, so I thought I knew what to expect. The problem was... I didn't expect to be eaten alive by BED BUGS! A week later, I still have painful red welts over my body. No price or location is worth that.

I believe is run by Chinese don’t expect hand soap, or quality bathing soap, or anything. Simple bed, in a private small room basic good for one two night crash pad.

Had to call police to get to my room, ”
Place is very basic and men at check in were quite friendly. Unfortunately in the evening the receptionist had problem to let me to the room. I showed him the keys to the room and he asked me to leave on very rude way( no english language). He said that computer is off and he can't check if im checked in. Tried to explain that i have key to the room and my bags inside the room but guy said "out". I called police and half an hour after they arrived and wanted my passport(which was also in the room) they were loughong and asking to the receptionist whats the problem... after 30 minutes police said that is sorted and i can go to the room. Normally i would ask for money back but because nobody speaks english there i just left it, took my bags and found hotel nearby. Never happened something like that to me before and i wouldn't recommend this place even for free. Wasted money and time.

Near to railway but rude staff”
My stay was good untill the next day where the staff/manager start arguing with me and asking for money for 2 nights stay whilst I've only booked for 1 night. I arrived early and just need to put my luggage but he insisted that my room is ready and can use it. The next day when I wanted to go, he was asking for 2 night stay. while I've only booked for 1 night via Agoda.
