This is a restored palace situated in the heart of Lisbon and is suitable for honeymooners and romantic getaways. Hotel Avenida Palace has been a part of the city since the late 1800s. The hotel can serve as the perfect hub for exploring and sightseeing around the city. Popular attractions such as the Sao Roque Church, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and Ancient Art Museum are all fairly close to the hotel. The hotel offers car rental services to ease the stress of sightseeing and exploring the city. Accessing the hotel from the airport is fairly simple as the hotel arranges for airport pick-ups and transfers. During a stay at Hotel Avenida Palace, guests can make use of the fitness center, meeting facilities, and business center.

Hotel Avenida Palace
grand dame with elegant ambiance”
Evening music of varied types added to overall feel of traditional elegance. Breakfast buffet in a lovely room started the day beautifully. Concierges knowledgeable and friendly. Daily treats in the room welcome.
The location couldn't have been better.. and the breakfast was superb. However the bathroom was so tiny and old fashioned that two people could not be in there at the same time and the toilet was right on top of the sink. The bathroom was the big drawback. Also, being in the Main Street, the room was very very noisy with a window open, so no fresh air! Other than the minuscule bathroom, the hotel is gorgeous and the staff friendly. Comfortable beds, and great breakfast!
It is really a Palace!”
This hotel is beautiful! Location is great, right next to Rosio station. 2 min walk to subway station. You can walk from here to many placed. Rooms are beautiful. Breakfast is amazing! I will stay there again if I come to Lisbon.
I stayed here for 2 nights and LOVED it! The location is perfect-right in the middle of where you want to be! The hotel is lovely, charming, and historic! I loved my room and all the public areas! Breakfast was wonderful! I’ve forgotten the young blonde lady’s name from the breakfast dining room, but she was great! The free piano performance I attended was a cool and relaxing way to end s busy Lisbon day! All employees I encountered were very nice and extremely helpful! I can’t wait to come back to the Avenida Palace!!
Ger from Cork, Ireland”
Fantastic hotel in every possible way - location, facilities, breakfast, staff etc. Treat yourself - you will love it.
Historic hotel in a great location. And the greatest hotel amenity ever.”
We stayed here five nights over two separate bookings. This hotel is perhaps one of the most well known in Lisbon as it has a lot of history. The rooms we stayed in, a regular room and then a junior suite, were good sizes. The bathrooms and rooms were clean. The location is right next to Rossio station. This was very useful as we headed to Sintra for a day trip. It's also very central to many of the sites. while some of the walks were long, we walked to Principe Real for dinners, Alfama for sightseeing, the Sao Jorge castle, to the Time Out market, and so on. Great location. Breakfast was quite good and plenty to start the day. This was always nice to have to start the day. This hotel also does something I found absolutely brilliant. The greatest hotel amenity ever. The hotel provides guests with a phone that can be used for make 30 minutes of international calls a day and unlimited data to surf the web at 4G speeds. All free. We didn't make calls, but we used it a lot for Maps.
Good location and a very nice old fashioned building”
Location is very central, rooms are little bit small size but comfortable. The building is an old historic palace, but with modern facilities. Beeakfast is OK, and staff is very nice. The car park (if you need) is somewhere else and they have yo drive your car over there. Just let them know some minutes in advance if you need your car ready.
Beautiful Hotel ”
Lisbon was our last stop on a long European holiday so we wanted something special. This was it! It is a grand historical building in a perfect location. The staff were all pleasant and very helpful. The airport shuttle bus was across the road which is a bonus. The breakfast was in a beautiful dining room with a great selection of food. We also enjoyed a magnificent evening of Portuguese music at the hotel on one of our evenings. Was great to complete our adventure on a high.
Beautiful Belle Epoque Hotel in Excellent Location with Knowledgeable Staff”
We loved this hotel with its beautiful Belle Epoque lobby and breakfast room. The staff was friendly and the concierge recommended some very good restaurants and gave us other valuable information. There were classical piano concerts free of charge in the hotel lobby which were wonderful. The popular old Baixa area of Lisbon is right there to explore and sights of the city are easily accessible by bus or tram. The connection to the airport using the metro was simple. We would like to return.
Shining star in Lisbon”
The Hotel Avenida Palace was wonderful. Every staff was excellent, cheerful and helpful. The public rooms were welcoming and comfortable. The bedroom was restful, super clean and comfortable. The desk personal and the consaigere answered all questions with great advice and information.
HIstorical Hotel in City Center”
We stayed in Hotel Avenida Palace for 4 nights in January 2017. The hotel is strikingly beautiful and the rooms are beautifully appointed. The staff is warm and welcoming and can assist with any request you need help with. Location is excellent - right next to the Roissi train station; although you hear absolutely no noise from the train station. The metro is a very short walk away. The rooms are very quiet and extremely clean - the room was attended to at least 3 times a day (turn down of sheets, cleaning, etc). The manager also sent us a welcome gift of port on our second night - great surprise! Loved the daily breakfast which was included - gorgeous dining room with an incredible array of food that should please any eater. I also noticed that if requested, eggs would be cooked to order. The value for this five star hotel is outstanding! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil stay in the center of Lisbon.
Old world luxury”
This hotel offers old world luxury and a great location. Our room also includes modern conveniences, such as a Nespresso coffee maker, and flat screen tv. The staff is great. I can't cite any real negatives.
You cannot go wrong with this hotel! Amazing location, friendly staff, big room, excellent service, delicious breakfast ... Need I mention it is called a “palace” for a reason? It is as if you are staying at a castle! They let us check in early which was a HUGE plus and they did not charge an extra penny. You will not regret staying here.
Excellent location, grand old hotel ”
Top location, next to station and right in the heart of Lisbon. Room was spotless and comfortable (if slightly too warm). Breakfast was great, both in terms of choice and quality. Hotel has a lot of character and charm, but could benefit from a few more modern facilities (and at least one English speaking TV channel would be nice!). Good service, especially from the very helpful concierge.
Amazing hotel at top location”
Brilliant hotel at top location- a bit like time travelling. Doesn’t come cheap, but breakfast is included which is nice. Would not recommend the “spa” treatments at hotel, heavily overpriced in a tiniest room.
palace experience or hospitality? you’ve got to choose”
the hardware is gorgeous, while the first impression from the doormen, without hospitality, has made the software far from the 5-star standard. and, although we requested an early check-in at 10am since it had been around 20 hours’ flight and transportation, we were rejected by the receptionist, with no empathy. there are some great points though, the lovely and supportive white-haired gentleman at concierge who patiently drew a map and showed us the walking route to the castle, the splendid rooms, restaurant and meeting areas, and well served breakfast etc.
I found this hotel to be quite charming. The staff was friendly and attentive. The room was large.”
The breakfast was fantastic. I arrived at 10:30 am and was able to check into my room without waiting. There was fresh fruit (delicious strawberries) when I arrived back after a day of exploring Lisbon and a cute bag for all of those "extra" souvenirs to bring home.
The perfect location with superb customer service.”
Our stay was wonderful and memorable. We would most definitely return, if and, when we revisit Lisbon, Portugal. The atmosphere was regal in our junior suite and gave us a sense of staying in a luxurious palace.
Excellent hotel in a great location”
We had a wonderful stay. This is an up-market hotel so it is not exactly cheap, but we thought it to be good value for money. The hotel staff were helpful and eficient and the decor was very good quality. The room was comfortable. No meals available in the hotel, but 3 minutes away turning left or right at the front door there are a variety of very good resturaunts and cafes. No complaints.
Very nice up-market hotel with friendly staff ”
we had a thoroughly nice stay in the avenida palace hotel. it is a nicely decorated and well-appointed up-market hotel. it is well-located close to the main attractions. we found the staff to be helpful and friendly.
