Not the nicest area, but central and nice hotel”
hotel baby was very comfortable, the room was a good size and the bathroom was nice. the heating was very effective (too hot at night with heater on!). easy to walk from hotel to the river, notre dame, the louvre etc. also on line 4 metro so easy to get there from almost anywhere!

Budget convenience”
Great location, within easy reach of metro and a Monoprix. I strolled down to the Louvre, and was a couple of metro stations away from the Pompidou. Clean room, no problem with English. The only quirk was indeed the smallest elevator I've ever seen, which could only be accessed from 1 floor above ground. But I had a fantastic time in Paris.

Great location but small lift and small bathroom”
Basically, most hotels in Paris are quite expensive. This hotel offers one of the best budget available. The location is depends on your travel plan. It is about 20mins walk from Gare Du Nord (Main Train Station) and located near metro (Saint Denis). There is a supermarket near the hotel called Monoprix, where you can do your own marketing. The room is quite small especially the bathroom, stairway and the lift. The lift is only located on the first floor and can only fit two person inside (small size). The breakfast is very simple and that cost you 6euro, if it does not include in your hotel booking. Everything is pretty standard. We are quite comfortable with our stay in the hotel overall. What you pay is what you get

A very good 2-star hotel in a reasonable location”
We noted the mixed reviews when we booked this hotel, but overall I was very happy with it. We booked a double room for 2 people and received a room with 2 double beds (maybe we were just lucky). The room was comfortable, bathroom was okay despite some wear and tear (one small tile missing, small amount of mould on tile grout). Cleanliness was of a good standard. The hotel is about a 3 minute walk from the nearest metro station (Strasbourg St Denis). We did note a couple of working ladies on the street at night, but it did not seem like a seedy area otherwise. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi internet in our room was not working for one night whilst we were there, but it got fixed.

Exceptional”
Location for metro to all areas is great. hotel was shrouded in scaffolding....some major renovations being made. however, workmen were very discreet and we were not disturbed by any noise. Room was rather tight for space but kept extremely clean. Although the ensuite was very small there was loads of hot water whenever required and lots of clean towels every day. Breakfast at 6.50Euros was the usual continental but we were a bit taken aback at having to pay 1.10 Euros extra for our coffee. A local cafe gave better value for 7.50Euros complet!

Proximate location to the metro & comfy beds”
Besides the cheap price for the hotel, comfy beds and proximate location to Strasbourg Saint Denis metro station, there is nothing much to rave about this hotel. There was no air-condition provided in my hotel room(major shocker), too many 'street walkers' at night, surroundings near hotel reeked of urine and the lift can only fit one person at a time. Can't complain too much for the price you pay though.

You get what you paid for”
As what I said, you get what you paid for. Good location but the area is a bit dangerous at night.also many naughty looking face people hang out in this area so I actually go back to hotel before the night to avoid any unwanted incident. However, me and my husband had a safe stay in this hotel and back to home safely. Choose this hotel if you are unable to pay higher price for hotel in Paris.

Great for budget travellers”
Stayed for a night and was very happy in this hotel. It is very easy to find and Metro is 4 min walk away. The building is quite old and the stairway is pretty narrow and might be difficult for those with big luggages. But otherwise, no problem going up to the rooms. The lift is on the second floor. We got a room with our own shower and is quite big for us. The staff was very helpful and really took care of us during the stay. Will stay here again and recommend it to our friends.

It was a wonderful stay even if it is a budget hotel. The staff was very friendly. The price was cheaper than I expected for the location. We were able to walk to Lafayet and many great restaurants. near undergrounds and it was a fun stay for young travelers.

bad and unpleasant”
When we check-in before the check-in time, the receptionist gave us room key for our room. When we went up to our room, the room wasnt ready. The housekeeper just started cleaning 'cos we bump into her in the lift. Then the housekeep told us to give her 10 mins to clean. Imagine 10mins?! So we just put our luggages in the room and left to tour paris. Saw how she clean the room, she placed the pillows on the floor. Gross. The room bathroom is really small. We couldnt use the toilet without opening the toilet door. The room is humid in the daytime too during summer. Expecting to rest in the night, but the area wasnt good to rest until after 1 am and before 7 am, construction work around the area or passerby noises will start. There is lift in the hotel but it only starts from level 1 not level 0 so you still have to climb the stairs up. The lift could only fit 1 person and a luggage and it took forever to come so might as well use the stairs. Room key has to be return everytime you leave the hotel. Hotel isnt easy to locate for first timer 'cos it's alley after alley but is near the metro. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody 'cos you couldnt rest well for the night after a long day out.

Clean hotel but very small room especially toilet”
Hotel Baby is a small but nice hotel. It's located generally near to a metro station and you can basically find anything you would like to during your stay. But the room's toilet is very small which is a minus point for me.

Good hotel for budget stay area slightly seedy”
The hotel itself was quite good for the budget traveller. Me and my girlfriend felt the 24 security was nice but also feel it was necessary because of the nature of the area. Quite noisy if the window was left open as it needed to be because there was no a/c. The walls were a bit thin which was also a bit noisy. Good proximity to sights and train station. Free wifi which was great. Didn't eat there so not sure on quality.

For culture vultures”
Horrible outside environment. You wouldn't feel safe especially with all the shady people in the area. The little route going to the hotel from the main street was dimly lit. Renovation was on going inside the hotel so it's noisy in the morning but serves as a good alarm for when you need to get up early. Breakfast was cheap and basic. Room has just one mirror and is very utilitarian. Hot water control in the sink is quite hard to control but overall ok if you just intend to have a place to stay for the night. No problems w/ the internet. I don't know if there's a lift to go up so just lugged the suitcase in the circular stairs up to the 4th floor. All is good except for the really uncomfortable location of the hotel. It didn't seem safe at all.

Good Rooms but bad Location and service”
We were a family with one child stayed for 4 days. The area Strasbourg is not a good place to stay of which i learned only later. The streets around are full of escorts in the night. The staff of the hotel are very rude and not helpful at all.No complementary water given nor electric kettle.small lift i have ever seen and does not reach the ground floor.need to carry bags to the first floor to reach the lift.this is a small hotel not worth the money spent. there are better hotels for this price. However the metro station (Strasbourg)is closer and shopping is available in the streets nearby. Bargain dresses available for euro 5-15 range.
