Very small rooms. Not very clean. Shoukd throw out the top cover it was covered in hairs etc. Cigarette ends lying out of the windows at the back. Aircon was pushing hot air into the room. The only thing in its favour was the location was nice.
Amazing bargain hotel!”
If you're looking for a short trip to Madrid, or a longer stay where you don't want to spend too much time in the busy centre, this is the perfect place! We did a 2 night stay, spending most of our days in the centre, and this place was the perfect hotel! It's about 8 mins bus from the airport (€1.50 each) and no more than a 10 min walk to the metro, which is roughly an hour from the centre. It's situated on a beautiful little square, which is home to a number of bars, restaurants and shops, and a short walk from a supermarket. Prices in the square are perfect if you're on a budget, with croissant and coffee breakfasts for less than €2, and some food for one and 2 beers for less than €9. The hotel itself is small but the staff will do anything for you! The rooms are small and basic, but perfect for a base. There is only one mirror which is situated in the bathroom, so ladies, taken one with!
Old and tired”
Just not our cup of tea.
What a screaming deal!!”
This hotel is a hidden gem. Cheaper than some of the bigger places in the area close to the airport without a doubt. It is close to a bus stop for the airport, a metro stop that isn't far, close to a plaza ringed by excellent restaurants, great staff, and it is a quiet neighborhood. What a screaming deal!!
Superb stay in madrid thru Hotel Barajas Plaza”
Near Airport T1, T2, T3 walking distance Free unlimited wifi Quiet, clean, comfortable environment Near Shops, bars, plaza of barajas Walking distance to line 8 metro train station Walking distance to metro bus Friendly english speaking staff
Hard to find”
We arrived late at night, and no one seemed to know where the hotel was. Once we found it, we were able to park in a nearby plaza and walk the short distance away. The hotel was nice and new. Our room had a somewhat slanted ceiling, which meant that I had to duck a little to get into bed. Also, there was a puddle of water on the floor by the foot of the bed. It could have been due to the rain. The hotel seemed quite nice though we only had a few hours there before our very early flight. The shower was good with lots of hot water. It's a great place to stay if you have an early flight out.
Very clean and tidy and close to airport, definitely well priced and therefore reflects what you get, which was above my expectations.”
Very clean and tidy and close to airport, definitely well priced and therefore reflects what you get, which was above my expectations. Not much to do in town but great if your waiting for your next flight and need to stay overnight for a couple of days.
Good for one-night stay”
I stayed for one night because my flight was early in the morning. The hotel is not far from the airport, accessible by bus and subway and you can also walk there if you know how to walk into the airport. The staff was nice. But it was a little bit annoying to hear the noise of suitcases passing by at night.
We had two rooms. My wife's room was on the first floor and she complained about noise. I was on the second floor and had no problem regarding noise. I checked one for food/dining because we did not eat at the hotel. There should be a N/A box.
Our stay was spoiled by very noisy over-pressurised plumbing in ours & other bathrooms & late night & sounds/conversations of others in corridor & adjacent rooms. Also seemingly endless early-morning clump of a heavy woman's hard-heeled shoes on the hard floor above. Without these irritations our stay at the Barajas Plaza would have been rated excellent.
cheap hotel well worth the money!”
We stayed one night at this hotel. It was close to the airport, the room was clean and it was easy to find somewhere to eat close to the hotel. Nothing special but a nice and clean hotel close to the airport!
Good place to sleep near from Airport.”
It was so great place to stay only one night before or after my flight. Very clean and some eating places just 2 or 3 or 5 minutes walk. Outside of T 2 of Airport, there are 101 buses to Barajas Plaza for about 10 minutes with only 1.5 Euro. From 6am to midnight, buses are runing every 17 or 18 minutes. From Plaza to Airport, too. It is really good place for just staying overnight ... Just TV was only for Spanish speakers. It was the best to have English channels TV for me. Except for that, I was happy to stay there.
Spent one night. Located in a nice area, you find everything from corner stores to restaurants. There's a Chinese store where you can buy a whole lot of things for nothing if you don't want to spend in a restaurant. The staff asked if i needed a taxi, i preferred saving money so i asked for directions to the subway which was really close and really easy. Only one stop till the terminal 4. I left the hotel at 9, at 9:10 i was in the subway.
First of all before booking they reacted swiftly to e-mails with questions. Facilities and room were well maintained and clean. Staff is courteous, friendly and service orientated. Breakfast is no self-service but prepared for you and that for just three euro’s. To be noted and no fault of the hotel, but for a short drive from the airport to the hotel (ca. 10 minutes) taxi drivers have the tendency of overcharging. In my case they charged 30 euro’s.
We had a really nice stay here, it's a bit hard to find, but it is near a really cute plaza, with a few restaurants and corner stores. The staff are really friendly. We stayed here because it was close to the airport and we had a 20 hour stop over.
Great little hotel close to the airport”
A nice small, clean hotel close-by to the airport. We stayed after arriving late into Madrid before taking an onward flight the next morning. The hotel itself is just what was required to get some rest after a long flight from Thailand. We didnt eat in the hotel but did eat in the plaza across the street, and enjoyed a bit of real Spain. We would recommend the hotel for a one night stay such as this.
Location is the key here.”
It's a 10-minute walk from Bajaras Metro station. The area is sub-urban, but not that noisy. If you just need a place to stay the night close to the aiport, this is a good choice. I didn't get a chance to have breakfast here, so no comments on the food part. There's a small plaza just a 1-minute walk from the hotel, with a couple of restaurants and a grocery. There was no fridge in the room, but otherwise it was all I needed. Bus stop in the plaza as well. The friendly staff was speaking English.
Minutes to the Airport”
i stayed one night and found this hotel to be a great option for a stop over with an early morning departure. although the room was basic, the bed was comfortable, the room quiet and the staff friendly. the hotel is right next to an area where there are several dining establishments and a nice park. i'd stay there again, for sure.
This hotel is very handy if one needs to be near the airport as the hotel is located between the two terminals. The metro is also walking distance from the hotel. There are quite a few restaurants near the hotels. If access to the city and tourist sights is required, the hotel location is not so convenient as it is not near. Hotel offers free internet and is clean with helpful staff.
Extremely friendly staff, close to Barajas”
We arrived late and were greeted by a very friendly woman. She was so kind to walk us to our room, help us find a great restaurant, and set us up for transportation to the airport. The room was very clean, comfortable and functional.
