Small hotel”
Booked a single room for 2 nights and was given a room on the 5th floor. Room was small but ok for one person. The toilet was tiny with basically standing space for a small-medium built person. The bed don't really seems clean as I basically started scratching myself when i lay on the bed. The elevator was tiny, really tiny.. either for one person + one luggage or 2 persons. Not built for those big built people. Happened to used the toilet on the ground level before we left for Gare Du Nord, it's really like heaven and earth if u compared the toilet to the ones in the room! The toilet on the ground floor is practically done up like a boutique hotel, it simply puts the rooms to shame. you will know what i meant if u seen it. wifi is provided with a user id and password.. u will have to log in each time after u idle and not used it for some time. was able to connect my ipad to the wifi but simply dun understands why my galaxy note just could not connect even after given a new user id and password.

Small cozy place by the metro”
Everything was very good - location near the metro and supermarket, very clean, cozy bed. There is a small elevator for luggages which is quite convenient already given that it is a small building in Paris. However, shower area is really small like a little more than a square meter. But overall, our stay at the hotel was very good.

Pleasant, easy access to metro, food wise was ok.”
It was overall OK. I didn't quite like the room for we are given 2nd floor, and we hv to climb up & down the stairs. staff not that really friendly. The room was relatively small but clean, we were there for only 1 night so it was overall all right. The only advantage near the Gare Du Nord train station, since I had an early train to catch to go back to London the next day. also the metro station, it serve the same line to Gallary Lafayatte, Musuem De Lourve.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Paris!”
The hotel's location is pretty close to all the tourist spot! You could simply just walk for 20 minutes to Louvre! I am so happy I can just park my car in the hotel for few days and just explore Paris by metro & walk (sometimes lovely view!). Many good restaurants nearby! Looking for a good decent dinner is totally not a problem. This was my 2nd time to Paris, and I'll probably stay here again next time. Cons: the lift is so small it can only fits 2 people MAX (without big luggage!) but its a minor for me, really.

The hotel location Is good ! Near the metro just walk for 1 min ! I booked the trouble room but they changed the double room as my request ! Very friendly and helpful staff! The decoration is very nice and my husband love it so much ! Will choose again when I travel in pairs !

Great Experience”
We were so lucky to get a room with small balcony and had a fantastic experience. Hotel is closely situated to Metro with many Metro lines making travel to many other parts much easier. Hotel allowed us to check in earlier as room was available and also allowed us to store bags on check-out. Hotel is situated in area with plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops.

It was good at location, clean and inexpensive. I thought that the bread to give in the morning was free, we will pay you to leave. Two people are really small and cute elevator! We had a good rest even in a clean room at a reasonable price. It is recommended!

Great Location with Helpful Staffs”
We had a freat stay at the hotel. Very helpful staff at the front desk,eventhough somme speak little english but it is still a help to us. There is a bakery and supermarket very near to the hotel. The overall stay was good but the room is abit small. Well,we dont mind staying there in our next visit.

not special in any way, but a good base”
Staff competent, but not overly friendly. Clean and tidy. A tiny lift, so often walked up 5 flights - but the '60's artwork on the walls makes this a pleasant experience. There was breakfast provided but it looked pretty uninspiring, and with an excellent bakery just the other side of the square we didn't try it. It's a bit overpriced, but then so are many places in Paris. All in all it was acceptable value for money. Wifi didn't work in the room, so had to come down to reception several times a day. The balcony of the room was lovely to sit out on in the evening or early morning - a real Paris experience.

Tiny but semi-cosy”
the republique is typical for the french capital - tiny, a bit cramped but cosy enough for a short stay. located in an older building that could use some updating, the place does not exude the charm that you'd expect from staying in paris - montmartre, the eiffel tower etc - but for the price you get a clean bed, hot shower and a few foreign language channels. in other words: 'no frills'. but you can access public transport easily to get to the main sights or into the city for business. so if you're in paris to see paris rather than spending time in your room then staying here isn't that bad.

Extremely small room, Not friendly service at all”
In terms of accessibility, it is recommendable. The closest metro stn is Republique which is connected to five different metro lines so that you can easily visit any popular places in Paris. Other than that, it was horrible even though my room was the cheapest one. The room was dark, not that clean. Since it was too small, so it felt like a prison cell. You can take a shower with hot water but only in a tiny space which was too tight for an adult male. The receptionists were not friendly at all, but they knew what they had to do. In spite of that, a local supermarket was nearby so you dont need to spend much money there. So if your priority goes with the price first, then it is moderate, but not recommendable. But you should not expect to have a comfortable or hospitable stay.

Hotel is OK ”
Rather difficult to locate the hotel and it should show the landmarks (e.g. exit 5 of the Republique subway station) nearby. Surrounded by many restaurants and you can have dinner even in mid-night...It means you have more time for sightseeing in the daytime Hotel room is clean and quiet. Worth trying it!!

small hotel with fine location”
It's a small hotel with a very tiny elevator, which I had never seen in my life before. The room is clean but pillows are too flat. The location is good, closed to the metro station, restaurants, cafes, shops and supermarkets, But since there is no air-con, I had to open the window at night and the street was very noisy. It's quiet after one in the morning. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, since it costs extra 8 Euro per person per day with limited choices of bread. You can find easily a better place to have breakfast around the hotel.

where to start for...this hotel is not what the website shows.when we got there was much worse than expected.they should renew their website asap. our twin room was on a 6th floor (lift dimensions only for 1 person at the time).very tiny room,we complained and our room was changed unpleasantly.the wifi doesnt work.unhelpful staff.very poor attention from all of them.they kept saying it was our device error(we were 3 people standing at the desk with the same problem looking for help to connect).reception staff has no good commands on english language,difficult to communicate with them.at check out,staff was concerned if we paid or didnt for our accommodation, asking us to pay again!he did not understand we paid through the website!really bad experience in general.terrible hotel.

At the time we were staying, the hotel was in renovation. There has been a lot of dusts in those renovation floor. Since the lift is so small that only 1 person is allowed with 1 baggage,we have to walk upstairs and downstairs all the time. Think about we all 6 people lived on the 6/F

Good. The room next to ours was under renovation which caused a bit of accessibility issue since the floor was laid with plastic protectors. The lift is too small can only fit 1 person and 1 luggage.

Cramped, dark and poor design”
Its located just a few minutes walk from the Republique Metro Station, and there's a very nice bakery just round the corner. However, the room is really small, hardly have enough space for the luggages and it has some funny smell to it. And the room's decorations looks cheaply done up. The lift is really really tiny. We had to stack our luggages and hug each other in order to get in! (btw we are 2 tiny Asians with 2 small bags) The stairs and corridors are almost pitch black until you are halfway through when the motion sensors detects you. Oh the bright side, the staff spoke English and were friendly enough. Unlikely that we will return.
