Old and dingy”
Only thing I can say good about this hotel is the location and the staff. Thats it...
My experience was not goo. There were bugs in the room. I don't know if it was bed bugs or what but the bites where very itchy. Had difficulties sleeping because of this. I had to put insect repellant just to drive away the insects.

Great location”
Value for money. Central location. Close to restaurants.
The hotel is in a little street surrounded by many restaurants. There is plenty of activity in this street and surrounding area. Walking distance to many attractions including Louvre, Notre Dame, Marais- a gentle stroll to all these areas. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Older property with tiny lift between floors! Staff were very pleasant. I had to extend my stay due to a train strike any they were very helpful to accommodate me.

Good location, bad sleep”
location is the only good thing about this hotel. the room was very uncomfortable to sleep. the bed was as hard a rock and i didn't get any good sleep during my stay. the shower was very uncomfortable. it was too small for my tiny girlfriend, and for me it was just impossible to shower is such a small space, and i'm not a very large person. the water temperature kept changing from too hot to too cold. the acoustic is so bad that if you open the windows the sounds from the street make you feel like you're surrounded by hundred shouting children. the only good thing about this hotel is the price and location. next time i'll spend a little bit more money so i can get some rest on my next vacation.

A decent hotel, but loud at night”
The best things were price, its cental location, and the staff.
This was a perfectly decent Paris hotel. The bathroom and room were small, but that's typical for this price, and they weren't *so* small as to be inconvenient or uncomfortable. The rooms were reasonably clean and everything necessary was there. The breakfast was typical coffee, an OK croissant and tartine, and an array of supermarket yogurt and cheese. The only real drawback, if you're not a night owl or party-goer, is that the hotel is located in a dynamic pedestrian district that hosts a very active night-life. The rooms have no air-conditioning, so in the spring and summer, if you need to keep the window open, you'll hear an unusually large amount of street noise: restaurant crowds, drunk revelers, groups of friends out for a good time, arguments, etc. In my experience, that noise could continue until 3 or 4 AM, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. In the winter and fall, when you can keep the window closed and the temptation to hang out in the street is less strong, this problem probably isn't as bad. As it is, anyone looking for a quiet, romantic getaway in the city should probably choose a different place. If you're there to party, though, or visiting in the fall or winter, the Montorgeuil district is a great location -- full of activity, and central to all the mass transit and sights.
