We had a great stay at Hotel Bencoolen @ Hong Kong St. The room was spacious by Singapore standard. The room was clean and has complete amenities. I love the shampoo set that comes with the room. The hotel is quiet. You won't here what's happening in other rooms. The street is also not a busy street. There are bars beside the hotel but you won't hear the noise. So A+ for a good night's sleep. Location is also great as it is near bus and train stations. It is super neat to Clarke Quay so you won't run out of options on where to eat. However, restaurants near the hotel are a bit costly. I also commend the front desk staff who's there in the afternoon. He knows us by name and is really helpful. I also commend the cook (the taller auntie), she helped us with my son's food. We will definitely be back here!

Stylish, cozy, modern and accessible!”
Hotel Bencoolen is a much-recommended place for travelers who are on a budget but would still want to be close to Singapore's famous attractions. It is definitely worth the penny since the location is at the heart of Clark Quay which is accessible through the metro and buses. Location is surrounded by a lot of food options especially that it is just walking distance away from the China towns famous Hawker Stalls which meant budget-friendly healthy meal options day till night. The Hotel is super clean and peaceful. Despite being a small hotel with few rooms (compared to big hotels) we loved this piece of heaven because of its modern stylish feel and the ambiance is too cozy. They also have a small pool with a jacuzzi on the rooftop which is very private and romantic for couple travelers like my friend and I. Highly recommended 10/10.

Room was big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. 1 bed could fit 1 adult and a kid. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was superb. It can definitely fill you up until your next meal. Free flowing coffee and chocolate drink from their venfo machine. Strong water flow with heater. Staff were superb. You can tell them if you need a taxi so they can get it for you. A nice and quiet neighborhood. Very near the mrt, just 2-3 mins walk. There's 2 7/eleven nearby, but i recommend you to go to the one on hongkong st, so you wont need to go to the pedestrian anymore.

Strategic location and Value for Money”
Value for money. Room is spacious enough for my family to move around. Clean and tidy enough. The bathroom blinds had a weird smell (so we roll it up when not it use), as well as some of the towels (thankfully the replacement ones were okay). Happy we get to use the pool this time as it was under renovation the last time we booked here. You have to book prior swimming though. You get to use for an hour which is fine. The receptionists were all kind and friendly. We arrived earlier than check-in time, thankfully they allowed us in. They have breakfast facilities but they were unavailable due to covid restrictions prolly-- But there are nearby shops and restaurants, and mall so food is not a problem. Location is walking distance to bus stops and MRT which is a plus. The TV shows only local channels. There's an option for Netflix & YouTube but no access. WiFi connection is fine. Housekeeping I think is handled by one person only, so a little patience on that part. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. Might book again in the future.

If you're not going to be in your room all the time/require full room service this is the place to be. It is in a great location with good trendy restaurants/bars a stone throw away. Minh and Russell at reception were very kind and helpful on our stay delivering items to our room and took care of things mentioned like towel replacements. Only thing is room towels could be better/replaced but easily solved by bringing your own. Will return.

Perfect location and wonderful staff!”
The room had all the essentials and more! I was even able to iron my clothes. The beddings were comfortable. The rain showerhead was great. The breakfast options were just right. The location was perfect (just a stone throw away from the bus stop, 8 minute walk to the subway, convenience stores and restaurants on the same streer). The staff was beyond accommodating! Will definitely book again for my next trip.

The location makes it an excellent choice for business travelers looking for alternatives to large, impersonal hotels in the CBD area. It is very close to the Raffles Place. The hotel staff is very friendly. Breakfast is prepared nicely each day in the lobby. There is a pair of washer and dryer on the 2nd floor which is a nice surprise. The room is sleek, modern and very clean.

This is an awesome hotel. This is the second time we have return to Hotel Bencoolen Hong Kong. Upon arrival, we were given a free room upgrade. This hotel is very convenient, especially with young children. The room we were given was very spacious and the bedding were very comfortable. The only issue were the noise the next building was making as it was under construction. We would definitely come back again!

Excellent location, very value-for-money for travellers on a budget”
A short walk from Clarke Quay MRT which makes it convenient to explore Singapore. Room was spacious, bed was surprisingly comfortable with plush pillows and super soft sheets. Bathroom was clean with good water pressure and temperature. No view from the window to speak of, but if you are not fussed about that, then definitely a great stay.

I've booked a premiere room for my staycation, the room is so massive and extremely clean! then staff is so friendly and i have accessed to the roof pool by making appointment(as there is only maximum of 3 person in the pool during phase 2) with the assistance from the friendly front counter staff, overall i would strongly suggest this hotel as its provides a very high value for money.

The room was nice and clean with a modern design. Had all the facilities you wanted, and the location was superb. Room was also a pretty decent size by most Asian standards. Staff were also really nice and happy to accommodate all our requests which was especially difficult during the pandemic and staffing issues

Wonderful ”
So central easy walk to clarke, boat quays. close to MRT easy yo all shopping malls and minutes walk from Chinatown . Staff were amazing. Breakfast perfect for start of day .. 7 11 across the road and sooo many food choices close. 24 hour coffee and great sitting spaces. Pool spa perfect after a dsy walking Singapore, Loved our stay and will be staying there again.

Really liked the loft suite, amenities were great with 2 bathrooms and 2 TVs. Staff were friendly and helped us with our requests. Room was really value for money! Location was superb, 5 mins walk from MRT and less than a minute walk from the nearest bus stop linking us to many places. Would stay here again :)

Value for money and decent sized loft room for Boat Quay area ”
My kids enjoyed the loft room on the 6th floor! Great price and decent size for this region. Very clean and well equipped. Has one TV and one toilet on each floor. Lower floor also has a basic sofa bed. TV has local and a few cable channels. Excellent location - lots of good food and places to explore within walking distance. Many convenience stores and malls nearby too. Has a jacuzzi pool on the 5th floor - need to reserve 1 hour slot at reception (likely due to social distancing).

Booked premier rm. Spacious and clean. Nice big bathtub in the bathroom with see-thru glass...there's privacy curtain in the toilet too. Comfortable bed. Overall, very satisfied.

Nice small hotel”
In a very good location. Has a clean and modern feel to it. The glass walled bathroom was different. It would be nice if there was a hook or two there to hang clothes. The TV channels were limited with no regular kids channel which disappointed my 7 year old. Breakfast was nice, the time 8-10 am was ok as we were on vacation. We checked out and left our bags in storage for awhile our last day before going to the airport which was nice to be able to do.
