overall good”
The hotel is not so far walk from subway which is good. room is clean. I love that they have an iron and ironing board available in the room. It was a little bit water on the floor though when you tried to standing and took a shower in the bathtub because of the partition is a little bit too short. overall good with breakfast. all staff is so helpful.

Cheap, large single cabin room”
Very, very cheap single/cabin room (just a normal sized single room without window). Location is great. Walking distance to Östermalm, central station and so on.

Great breakfast but that's about it ”
For the price, just OK. Would not return. Hotel itself is quite dated and attracts an older crowd. Service standards vary widely depending on the staff. Location is a 7/10 for me, still requires a train or bus to get to most places so you'll have to purchase Stockholm's 24/48/72 hour travel pass. Like with most Nordic hotels, no toothbrush / amenities beyond shower gel provided so be sure to pack your own.

Room was very small than mentioned on the website. ”
Booked a Deluxe standard room which was supposed to be 17Msq. But was way smaller than that. Bathroom was cramped. Building seems to be really old and temp control system was bad and very cold at night. Only pros were friendly staff and good breakfast.

Design hotel with good location”
birger jarl is a good hotel in very convenient location just in the center. it stays in one of the most luxury areas of stockholm with many ethnic restaurants and butiques. you can easily walk to all attractions and streight to gamla stan. the building is from 70´s and rooms are quite small but very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated - it is a showcase of scandinavian design. breakfast is great. the hotel has even a garage which is quite rare in stockholm.

Hidden gem in the great capital”
Stayed only for one night but the comfort, location and the service of their staff will most likely make me want to stay there again. Location-wise, it is a walking distance from Östermalm (Stureplan), as well as the city centre (Norrmalm). A nice brisk walk along the Birger Jarlgatan will show you some great little gems of Stockholm - contemporary interior design shops, american-italian inspired cafes, antique book shops, and so on. There is a Hemköp supermarket just around the corner from the hotel - very handy when you're staying with a baby/small child and need food and other things. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. There is even a parking underneath the hotel. One bad point - the dinner at the restaurant is limited, in small quantities and over priced. So if you would like to eat something, eat out. Otherwise the bar itself seems fine and quite popular.

The Birger Jarl Hotel is centrally located within the city of Stockholm Sweden. Just a short walk away are many tourist attractions including ther main shopping precinct and wonderful restaurants. The Hotel is clean and is excellent value for money. The buffet breakfast is fantastic and provides a wide range of items that would satisfy everyone. On the top floor there is a small gym and sauna which is the perfect place to visit after a day of work. The hotel is very suitable as a both a business and tourist venue.

Nice hotel with an exellent location”
birger jarl hotel is a very nice hotel. despite the fact that the hotel is under repair and they have a temporary entrance and breakfast room, they managed the business brilliantly. the rooms are nice but rather small, but offers a nice twin bed, armchair, a small table for your computer, tv, free and fast wireless internet.

the price/service ratio is excellent compared to most hotels in stockholm. this well located hotel has very good rooms with proper amenities. staff was most helpful from check-in to check-out. food was ok. could improve their breakfast buffet service logistic. business center very well equiped. will certainly book this hotel again while doing business in stockholm.

Friendly Design Hotel”
We enjoyed very much our 3-day stay at the Birger Jarl, the room was kind of small but comfortable, and the service was very friendly and efficient. Since we only stayed for breakfast and sleeping we did not make use of any other services. We specially appreciated that we could get a fresh coffee and a prepacked breakfast at 6.15 in the morning of our departure before official breakfast time.

Good hotel and with great service and amazing breakfast”
Hotel is very nice with courteous staff. Rooms were a bit tiny for the price you pay. Breakfast is amazing with great spread of choices and tasty. Location wise the place is okay but have spotted hotels with better location once I got to Stockholm. Overall a good place to stay.

Comfortable stay”
Very comfortable in quiet area. Had very good rest there. Breakfast was very nice with a touch of Swedish plates. Asked for laundry service but was not available since it was Sunday... Bummer. Hotel amenities were great. Very nice shampoo. I will always remember Stockholm by that scent if lemongrass. Very positive feeling to check-in and check-out. The staff were very helpful and everyone spoke very well English, so I had NO PROBLEM at all at my stay. Got a good deal on agoda, so didn't pay the full price but I understand the pricing if the hotel from the quality of service they give. Very positive and pleasant.

My first visit to Stockholm. The staff couldn't do enough for me. The hotel is perfectly placed for getting about and you can actually walk to the Vasa museum on a sunny day. It was quiet despite its city location and the breakfast was more than satisfactory. Would come back again. 😄

Brilliant quality for the price”
room cleaned spotlessly every day great value for stockholm and within walking distance of many attractions buffet breakfast was excellent and the wifi in the room was free and easy to connect to staff are very helpful and are always ready to answer any questions you may have nothing was a problem for staff to deal with - the heating seemed to be broekn and a temporary heater was placed in my room immediately
