      great location”

      location, view, staff

We enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and comfortable. The view from the café is wonderful and we enjoyed the artwork throughout the hotel. The hotel location is very close (walking distance) to several churches and the capital & presidential house. Also buses run at regular intervals to many additional sites, but taxi service in town is very cheap. I would recommend studying a map before arriving to ensure you know the city layout, which is not that difficult. The hotel is also close to many restaurants with good food at very reasonable prices. The one issue we had - we arrived after 2am on our first day and they did not have a room ready for us. However they arranged another hotel and took care of the charges for us, so we were flexible and happy with the hotel staff. Thankfully the staff spoke English and were very helpful after contacting management for approval. We definitely would recommend this hotel to our friends.

      Spacious, comfortable, and good value”

Great location. Spacious rooms, good value

We got a Suite at Hotel Boutique Plaza Sucre because we have an 18 month year old and need a little space. We were not disappointed. Two bedrooms, a bathroom , and a small living area. Heaven. Rooms were clean, old, but with character. No frills service or breakfast at this hotel but who cares? For the price he accommodation alone was worth it! Expect a beautiful old building, old, but clean rooms, and good value and you won't be disappointed,

Quito, Ecuador was beautiful and different”

      English-speaking front desk; beautiful decor;

Finding the hotel was difficult, because it doesn't stand out like hotels in the US. At first I thought I'd made a mistake booking here. From the outside, you wouldn't expect what you get when you enter. Once inside, you realize this is a beautiful hotel in the historic area of Quito. Because it's in the historic district, there are no elevators, so I had to walk up a flight of stairs on the first night. We were able to get a 1st floor room on the following night. Breakfast is provided, but it's on the 4th floor, so hubby had to bring it down to the room. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel, and I would stay there again.

A building in the historic centre of Quito”

      location, location, character

The hotel is in a magnificent old building just round the corner from the main square of old Quito. Clean and comfortable, OK breakfast. Wi-Fi is at best slow, often not available.

      Fabulous deal!”

Everything was awesome! The only gripe we had was tiny - our maid kept forgetting to leave a bottle of water and we had to ask at the front desk. Rooms very clean and sufficient, hot water/great shower, strong wifi signal and 2 computers to download my photos from camera. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty; the selection may be thin, but it is much more than what we have received in other hotels at higher rates. Great location!!

A nice hotel in the old ciy”

Good location if you are mainly interested visiting the old city. People at the front desk spoke good english and were very helpful answering questions.

Breakfast was good. however, if you need to leave before 7am you are out of luck. People at front desk were helpful in answering questions, ordering taxis, making reservations etc. Room service was okay, but they don't pay attention to details. Our room with 3 guests had only 2 towels and 2 bottles of water. Also there was no extra toilet paper roll. When asked, we got the extra towel and toilet paper roll, but were told that only two bottles of water are complementary per room (even though we paid extra for the third person). But in general good value for the price.

      Location

I feel it is highly overrated, I did not see 4 stars anywhere...However the hotel is located in a great place in the colonial centre of Quito and from here you can walk anywhere. The area seems quite safe but desert after sunset.

      excellent location”

This hotel is especially to be recommended for its location, as all of the old town is five minutes walking distance. There were windows from my room onto the corridor outside. The curtains were not very thick. But I managed to make the room dark at night by turning off the light in the corridor. The hotel is well furnished, but old-fashioned. The breakfast is fine, but don't look for a choice of things to eat.

Good hotel with a reasonable price”

The price was right. The hotel was clean. Triple room was actually two small rooms connected together.

we found the location in the old city very convenient since we spent most of the time there. for dinner we either walked to la ronda (on the weekend) or took a taxi to restaurants in other part of the city (~$4). on weekdays you don't probably want to walk at night in the old city. breakfast was reasonable and was included in the price of the room. service in the front desk was okay and the people spoke good english and helped us with information and taxi and restaurant reservation.

      Good location”

This hotel is centrally located to the major old town sites. I was generally happy with the hotel. An annoyance was the hot water for the shower in my room sometimes became cold and then hot again. Also different staff said different things to me about whether I would get a discount for booking a round trip airport transfer - a staff member had said I would get a discount, then another said I would not because my return to the airport was in the very early morning. Anyway, I ultimately got the discount.

To visit Quito's historical centre, location can hardly be better. Breakfast room at top of building has wonderful view. Breakfast adequate but rather standard. We would have appreciated some good local breads instead of the usual commercial sliced bread. Our room was rather smallish for the price. Good security is a plus. Access to bottled cold and hot water and tea was another plus. Staff quickly solved a (lack of) hot shower problem.

For some unknown reason the bar in the internet area was "not working". Quite a turnover of front desk personnel who were not always equipped to offer assistance. Nevertheless we would return to this well-located hotel.
