I only need a room for us to stay at dawn til morning, so I booked and paid the room, a day before as no hotel will allow us to early check in at dawn. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist told us that they are fully booked and there is no room available for us when in fact we had paid the room that night. Wow, our intention of resting at that hour transform into stressful negotiations. What an inefficient staffs, allowing a paid room used by another.... very TANGA!
Management dissapointing ”
Arrive to my room to find the shower not working and aircon leaking all over the carpet I told management and they checked room and told me these rooms booked out and I'll need pay $200 peso for a bigger room that's available. I told them I shouldn't have pay as my room is unsatisfactory? I waited with no change of the situation them asked if they can talk to the manager. they told me manger is out and then later I was told the manager has gone home and we can't make decision to upgrade to for free room. So I then emailed Agoda telling them of the situation and within 15mins I got a call from reception saying they have a spare std room which we already saw was empty only a few rooms away when srriving??? So I was quite dissapointed that they just didn't move me there or even upgrade me than trying to charge for an undstisfactury room that I had already paid for online. I'm well travelled and dissapointing again to see such avoidence for this situation.
Great location ”
Value for money and very near to Silliman University, Seaport, Restaurants and market What I like most is that they allow us to check in as early as 7AM and their check out is 1PM...we requested for 3 hours extension for only P100 per hour
Not a very pleasant stay”
I didn’t expect much for a low price but there were improvements that could be done for the hotel. The bed is okay but it could be better if the at least covered the lower mattress. The plastic is torn off and looks really messy and old. The aircon works but it couldn’t make the room cold and it was very loud. We had to put it into fan mode so we can sleep but it was too hot in the room and there was a time that it spits ice. I don’t know why. I was awoken by tiny bits of ice in the middle of the night. And there are mosquitoes inside the room. I know you can’t expect much from a cheap room but I think the things I’ve mentioned don’t need great renovations. It just needs a lot more cleaning and making the room presentable.
Old hotel but good location”
Shabby-looking hotel but conveniently located at the center of the city. Walking distant to restaurants, banks, cafe and mall as it is located along the main road where most public vehicles passes by. Staffs are very helpful. The room given to me is small but good for two pax as it has queen size bed. Hot water is available but no bidet in toilet. It has basic facilities but old. The room looks fine but old and shabby including the bed and the carpet which makes it look untidy. They also have a restaurant called Turnpike and they served affordable meals. I had my breakfast with them for only Php 130.00 which is a set meal including drinks.
comfortable room and very strategic place in the town”
The room was big, aircon worked fine but noisy, location perfect (10minuts by walking from Dumaguete port), smoking area, the only problem when we changed the room coming from Siquijor, we found many cockroaches in our new room, ups
Hotel Camila is located 5mins away from the downtown area so it is very strategic. Big rooms and good value for money. Place is somehow old and needs more cleaning but our stay has always been pleasant so I will still book this hotel again in the future.
Great Location - Budget Friendly”
The hotel provides free water (hot and cold) with delicious meals you can order. The location is great as you can just walk a few meters to Silliman University, Boulevard, Sans Rival, and church. Highly recommended.
excellent location and very reasonable price given the size of the room, the bed and the amenities. i had hard time opening the door in room 403, i hope management will consider changing the doorknob and key
Economic clean and comfortable”
The hotel is situated centrally. Staff was kind enough though haven't really got the chance to talk to them for long periods but I easily got some requests made which I think they accommodated eagerly. The outside was a bit shabby and old but the inside of the hotel was clean. As I have said it's economic and comfortable. Not necessarily for those who are looking forward to a luxurious setup... it's more than enough to get some comfy sleep...
5D4N Stay in Hotel Camila”
There were rat and cockroaches inside our rooms. Our group were the ones who made the effort for the rat not to enter the room because it is eating our foods (and ewwwwe we dont like rats!). They put tapes for all the holes in the rooms (yes there were a lot holes!!). Also, the rooms smell bad. We asked to transfer for another room during our 1st night upon seeing the rat but they want an additional payment for the other room bec the staff said it is an executive room. The hotel don't know how to compensate their guests. Never again.
Mouse, Rodent, Little Cockroaches”
The building should renovate. In the bathroom, there are many little cockroaches. The door knob in the bathroom was also not functional and got locked. In the middle of the night, we heard noises and thought it was the air conditioner but was the mouse taking bites in our sealed food. I wouldn't recommend this place. If only i have read the reviews first about those rats.
Location good, cleanliness bad”
The hotel was perfectly located for my visit in Dumaguete. It was literally a stone throw away from the Portal of Silliman University BUT the linens were very old, sheet thin and tattered. Then there were an army of cockroaches crawling all over the bathroom floor, sink and even shower heads every time you'd open the lights the roaches will scamper around like they were going to attack you or something
Very dirty but location is near the boulevard”
The first room they had us stay had a leaking ac and they wouldny let us transfer unless we upgrade to deluxe (and pay more! ). The room that we transferred to was worst because there were many, many, many bugs and roaches on the bed, pillows, cr, everywhere! We didnt complain on the first night because we were out most of the time and was too tired to complain when we got back. On our second night, we asked for new sheets and asked them to spray the room but there were still lots of bugs when we got back. They had wifi but it didnt reach our room. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
AC is leaking!”
i stayed with my parents, siblings, my nephew and my niece. i thought i could have a nice stay just like before way back in 2011 when i stayed here for business. but the total opposite experience happened..maybe because they are due for renovation or something - don't really know but for sure the hotel location is really great!
More insects more fun
faulty aircon, no wifi in room, cockroaches old place never uodated staff did the best they could and were friendly
Very good location. ”
No towels given, bathroom door is terrible
this is the worst place to stay!!!! ”
the AC was too old and loud!almost half of the carpet was wet because of the AC! and also there’s a lot of small cockroaches in the room 😫 staffs are also snob! 0 star for this place!
In dire need of repairs and renovations”
Dirty. Not worth the money. Facilities are horrible. If only the owners would invest in repairs aNd renovations...the staff is lovely tho. Location is great.
