Lovely hotel with good service and location”

I stayed in this hotel only for two nights, as I was moving out from a long-term residence in another town in France and just needed a place in Paris for a couple of nights before catching my morning flight from CDG airport. The hotel room was well furnished, a little small but was rather cozy, and very clean. The location of the hotel was good too, with quite a few eateries nearby, and is somewhat midway between Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est (major train stations for connecting internationally and between regions in France). There is a metro station nearby too, Poissonnière, barely 50m from the hotel. This station is on metro line 7, and it connects to several attractions such as La Fayette, Opera, and the Louvre directly. All in all, I found this hotel really great, and wished that I had stayed here for my previous holiday in Paris, instead of just when I had to leave France (and needed a room for only two nights).

Good option for short period travellers in Paris”

We stayed for only one night in Paris, as we then took a trian to a different part of France. For a couple staying for a short period in Paris, Hotel Chabrol Opera was a great choice as it answered for all what we were looking for. The location is great both for internal city transportation and to reach to and from Gare Du Nord (literally 5 min walk with Lugage). Also settled in the hart of the 10th quarter, makes this hotel acceable for walking travellers around the main sights of the city; such as Montmartre and The Opera. The staff was very kind and helpful with what we asked for and informative on many other things. The room was not huge, but nothing like I was afraid of when I read other reviews on the web. It was clan and comfortzble (including the bathroom). There was only a little misunderstanding, partially on our behalf. In the morning we naturally went for breakfast, yet discovered later that we had to pay 14 euros for it. The reservation clearly mentioned that breakfast is not included, but I would have appriciated it if the staff had informed us in advance for the additional costs that we will be charged. However, we couldn't blame them for not doing so, as we should have noticed this ourselves. Having said that, I still do recommend the hotel for being a clean and comfprtable option for inter city travellers and short stays in Paris.

great location”

This hotel is in a great location with easy walking distance of gare du nord and also the Montmarte area. Room is on the small size but certainly adequate. Bathroom is tiny, however! A tall or overweight person would have trouble sitting on the toilet or having a shower. Lift stops between floors but it's an old building so I guess it's good there even is a lift. I couldn't find an English language channel on theTV which was kind of annoying, but I was there to sight-see, not watch telly... But overall, I would be happy to stay here again.

Excellent location, clean rooms and helpful staff ”

Rooms were small but clean and fine for us for 1 night stay and if was easy to get to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est train station. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Kids loved the welcome sweets!!!

Clean and tidy room. ”

If you are looking for a simple yet clean and affordable place. This is definitely your choice. We are a group of three and this is really out of our expectation that this hotel offer a 3-bed room. Surely a comfortable place to stay.

Hotel was walking distance to the shopping district in paris. 2 min walk from metro. walking distance to take train to CDG airport too..

Uncomfortable”

Small room impractical ligth switch at bed head was unable to lean argents as it keep switching off only one power socket not easy to access and too far from bath room could not use my hair dryer and so you can only charge one device at a time, .bath room very unpractical not enough towel hooks or any were to place toiletries bags hand basin too large for such a small area . We were very annoyed with Agoda booking agents as we ticked special request box regarding our choose of payment it was totally ignored which we are left to chase up with so along with hotel & Agoda booking agent we will not be recommending this experience .

Great location and lovely service”

Good service by the staff. Great as it comes with free wi-fi service. However, my room is at the ground floor besides the storeroom which makes me feel a little insecure.

Basic hotel. Poor internet. Marginal bathroom. I booked a twin, but was not satisfactory as a twin. It finished up being a double, with a spare bed. But hence no room to move or unpack a bag. Shower leaked into the main room. you could not sit on the toilet. Internet did not work in the room. etc.

Uncomfortable hotel”

Small room, unpractical bathroom: no hooks for towel, no shelf for soap and shampoo in the shower. No noticeable exhaust. In the morning the water of the shower was cold in the morning. You can hear and feel the metro all trough out the night and footsteps of people going up and down the staircase. The wi-fi was poor quality. Only one power socket far from the bedside (they did provide us of a multi adapter)

Cute and cozy”

The hotel is located about 15 minutes from the train station, which was very convenient for me. The room was a decent size. Small, but not too small. The single beds were small. Be careful if you're a wild sleeper! You can see many authentic original fixtures and touches like the wood beam ceilings. Rooms are upgraded nicely and very clean. I liked the view out to the street. It feels like quintessential Paris. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Don't forget to have some cash to pay for the taxes, otherwise it's extra to use your credit card.

Hotel is easy to find, walkable from Gare du Nord. Staff are friendly and accommodating though keep to a strict check in time, so no early check in, but they are willing to store your bags for you. The room is nice, with good bedsheets, and toiletries provided. However, not sure if it is because of the current energy crisis, but the radiator shuts off at night and a small heater is provided instead. There is a lift, which stops between floors, so would need to drag the bags up/ down a flight of stairs. The breakfast spread is not bad, fresh oranges and a juicer is provided to make your own juice.
