Like staying with a family”
Situated just by the walking street, Chiangkhanburi has the best of both worlds. Given that Chiangkhan is not a chaotic and loud city, staying by the walking street is no concern at all. Khun Kung is really attentive and helpful. On the way back to Bangkok she drove us to the bus terminal without us asking. Like the title said, it's like staying with a family.

Lovely hotel with excellent service . Recommended ”
The old-style decoration is awesome. Pretty good to relax at a lobby in the afternoon when it is too hot for sightseeing. Its location is good a minute from Chiangkhan walking street even though it isn’t located near the river. Anyway, Maekong can be seen from the balcony. The owner is so nice and has service mind. She advised almost everything not only in the hotel but also in Chiangkhan. There’s no fridge in the room. Foods are allowed in a room but lots of ants will immediately come. No free bike available.

good place for staycation”
I and my friend went to Chiangkhan for leisure. Luckily, it was low season, so there were few people, the tenant let us stay all afternoon at the lobby (if you call that) till we leave for BKK at 8 pm (of course, we checked out since noon) The location is in walking distance to bus stop and this place is the middle point of street market that you strolling in the evening. Actually, there lots of guesthouse/hotel in this neighborhood but this place is best for us because of the cozy terrace (aka lobby) where you can't find it elsewhere around there. - perfect for taking photo -authentic vintage decoration -friendly tenant -nice service -clean

Feel like home, thumb up”
We stayed here 3 nights, very happy at this place, felt like home. P'Kung the owner, took really good care of us, she gave us many information about where to go, what to eat, what to do at Chiangkhan. Nestled in the heart of Chiangkhan, we feel this place is closed to everything we need, close to walking street, local food shop, temples, 7/11. Every evening, we just relaxed at the ground floor, chilling, enjoying the good atmosphere. we will definitely come back to this place again whenever we are about to visit Chiangkhan!

Beautiful hotel”
We had a really nice stay at Chiangkhanburi. It's well located, on a quiet soi. The staff was a bit reserved, but very nice. Maybe they were a bit shy to speak English. They always helped us out as good as they can. My kids (age 2 and 5) loved watching the little fish in the pond and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. We spent a lot of time chilling in the sitting area. For breakfast we got coupons to go to local restaurants. We had noodle soup every time and it was very nice. a true Thai experience.

New hotel with good service ”
Hotel is new construction but still keep old style of Chiangkhan house. I got very good service from hotel's owner(Khun Kung) esp. recommendation for dinner place. Furthermore, it is closed with walking street and Mae khong river with just only 20 metres. Hotel is very cleanliness and warm welcome. I will certainly comeback to this hotal again.

Great hotel and service with a smile”
This hotel is very close walking street. Owner is very nice. She suggested good information what should I do in ChiangKhan. This hotel has bicycles and she didn't charged. I used it to travel around there. I had a great time for my vacation.

Great location and good value for money”
You are not right on the river so there is not the river view. But it's across the street. Chiang Khan is very popular with Thai tourists. Personally I prefer Nongkai. But it's worth visiting and the hotel is great. Someone mentioned it's a death trap for children in a previous review I think. All the places are made of wood - that's the supposed attraction from a historical perspective. If you have very young kids or are an anxious person, maybe choose a package holiday. TIT - This is Thailand as the saying goes. Don't expect the Hilton for these prices.

Excellent Service. Old Style Hotel”
The hotel was small, but clean, and very close to the walking street (Chiang Khan is not really a very big city anyways). The hostess was great. Everything we needed was there for us. My son got sick the second day we were in Chiang Khan and the hostess asked us about how he was doing and if she could get anything for us. Great service. I high recommend staying here if you want to stay in Chiang Khan. It's about a 2 minute walk from the walking street. Just be warned. Chiang Khan is a very quiet town. It's hard to find food in the morning and at night. There is a Tesco/Lotus and 7 Eleven off the main road on Soi 11 (which the hotel is on). You'll have to walk around to find food in the morning. The night isn't so bad. Plenty of street vendors open after 6:00 PM, but be warned. Most of them are only open until around 8:00 PM.

close to the walking street and friendly staff”
Staff is so friendly and helpful. This hotel is close to the walking stree but it is not close to the Mae Khone river. You have to stay at another side of the street to see the river view. The price is reasonable and room is quite clean. However, the bathroom has no curtain so when you take shower it would make the bathroom wet all over. The bath room is not that clean though. There is no maid service. I stay there 2 nights and no one clean up a room. They will clean a room when you check out.

Lovely little town”
Great guest house in this fantastic little town on the Mekong. Old style streets right on the river. Hotel had a lovely feeling if you love natural lifestyle living. Room was very clean and nicely docorated. Loved the wooded entrance with wooded walls and ceiling nice place relax just off walking street. Tea and coffe, bread available all day which was breakfast too. Staf were excellent, very friendly and lots of information and also organized car and driver for us. Free bike hire. Make sure to get up early to see monks walking through stret at 6am. 6pm walking street comes alive. Hope this town does not change too much, really enjoyed. A lovely traditional hotel in a lovely old town on the Mekong, can't fault it! T.I.T.

Great location, very poor safety”
A pretty wooden building, the Chiangkhanburi Loei is a guest house, not a hotel. There is a pleasant entrance with a few mats and chairs looking onto the side street where guests can spend time relaxing. The location is great and the best thing going for it. The sleep quality is poor, with thin white curtains allowing the sun in, the room is bathed in very bright day light by 6:00am. The tv is on from early morning in the lobby downstairs with acoustics and lack of sound insulation making it sound as though a tv is on in the bedrooms. No breakfast is served and the options in the restaurants are unfortunately not great. My greatest complaint, however, is safety-related. There is no efficient way to get out in case of fire, the only exit being through a small door locked by a padlock attached ON THE OUTSIDE, WHILE ONE TRIES TO OPEN FROM INSIDE BY TOUCH ONLY, which you have to open small flaps on the door to reach. It would most definitely not succeed even a superficial fire safety inspection. This, in a tightly packed neighborhood of old wooden houses, and without a single fire extinguisher in site, makes this place a deathtrap in case of fire.

Lovely and Clean hotel”
Although there is limited space for park but when comparing to the other guesthouse this hotel is the best alongside the walking street. Walking distance to the convenience store. I like the front hotel which they have area to sit beside fish pond that I really enjoy. Staying at this hotel is like staying at home. The only thing I wish they have is the refridgerator in the room.

cozy stay in a cozy town”
The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. I especially love the small terrace in front of the hotel which is decorated with colorful flower plants. Great location as it's situated in soi 11, very close to the walking street, yet quiet and peaceful at night. The room is clean and bed is comfy with warm and soft comforter. The owner (p'Kung) is very friendly and helpful when we asked about directions and places to visit. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chiang Kan.

Nice, clean and cozy hotel, Friendly staff.”
We love the place. The room is very clean. Staff are so friendly. This place has the coziest lobby among all hotel and hostels in the area.

Nice hotel close to walking street”
checkin was quick. had beautiful room on the 3rd floor with 2 balconies overlooking city and mekong river on the other side. the room was nicely decorated and it felt like staying in a good friend's guest bedroom. hotel guests get breakfast voucher to dine at 3 different local restaurants of your choice. the owner was very helpful with finding information on bus/bike rental.

Nice hotel in Chaingkhan”
The hotel looks antique from outside, especially from the decoration at lobby on the first floor. However, the room is quite more modern. It is very nice, clean and big (our room has 2 corridors!) Bed is very comfortable. The location is in the center of walking street, it's not at riverside though. One complain is that the lady at lobby gave me wrong information about transportation to the airport, which made me almost miss the flight. You would better get the information direct from bus station instead.
