Great Location Good Service”
hotel is situated in the middle of chinatown, if you are hungry for food, there is no worries of finding food to satisfy your hunger. in chinatown, you need to bargain your price when shopping. the guide to bargain is to offer 20% of the asking price of the seller and slowly increase from there based on how much you perceived the buying price to be for each products. do not be bothered by seller's black face when you go way to low, afterall, the decision of buying lies in our hands. i have personally met sellers that would use vulgarities on me when the selling price turns me off the buy their products, but always remember that moving away from the store may bring you to another store that would sell you the same things at the price you wanted. hotel chinatown 2 offers a good lodging, the room may be compact, but it has the basic amenities that requires for a good relaxing stay. centralised air conditioning system that unable you to set the temperature, which doesn't matter to me. small private toilet with standing shower with no bathtub, that is pretty much okay for the price i had paid for. however to highlight, the management is pretty good at crm, i have booked a single room, they upgraded me to a double room for free. drinking water and ironing board can be found on 2nd level. the bad thing is the hotel only have 1 elevator. sometimes, the elevator would be down. it happen during my 3 days 2 nigt stay. but it got fixed when i return. so not much of a worries either. free storage of luggage is available when you check out and decided to roam around for the last time before departure. hotel reception is good, they gave me a couple of advised when i asked them how to get to the new bus terminal at bandar tasik selantan, they mentioned that to take taxi, depends on traffic. it would cost around ringgit. but if there is not much luggage, can consider to take a "shuttle tbs" bus at only $2 ringgit. cool!!!

Good hotel with answers that u need”
It is a hotel with good staff service. They are friendly and helpful to make stay in Kuala Lumpur pleasant. As a individual traveller the hotel room is adequate. If I will go to KL again, I will stay at Hotel Chinatown 2 where I feel relaxed and got good answers when I asked. Breakfast at neighouring hotel with a discount is value for money. Happy travelling.

Hotel Chinatown 2 is located at the heart of Petaling Street, ie the Chinatown of Kuala Lumpur. The hotel may be 2-stars rating, but the service is 4-stars, especially the attentive staff at the reception counter. Very swift check-in and check-out process. I stayed in Double Deluxe room. The room and bathroom are in good condition. Tips for good food around the area: (1) Breakfast: fish sashimi (yu-sheng) porridge in front of Hong Leong Bank; (2) Lunch: Double boiled old cucumber soup with roasted pork and chicken rice at a hawker stall opposite Uda Ocean shopping center; (3) Dinner: clay pot rice, BBQ stingray at the hawker stall along the adjacent street (same side as KFC Chinatown) is very nice, but prepare to wait for 20 minutes before the food arrives; (4) Supper: pancake at the night market, with winter melon and loh-han fruit herbal tea (next to a fruit stall). I will stay at Hotel Chinatown 2 again in my next visit to KL.

Excellent hotel for budget”
Hotel China Town 2 is excellent value for the budget conscious traveller, with free wi-fi, great service, clean well appointed rooms and perfect location in the heart of China town. Only step outside the front door to shop to your heart's content at the best market in Kuala Lumpur and enjoy the local Chinese cuisine. This is my favourite hotel in Kuala Lumpur and I have been coming back for more than three years. I have not once been disappointed with there service and hospitality!

Great hotel, great location and great staff”
I have stayed here many times and it is my favorite hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Great value for money. Very friendly and attentive staff, fantastic location right in the heart of China town, very close to the city and public transport with easy access to the airport. The markets and food in Chinatown are awesome, with endless shopping and dining possibilities. Very nice, clean rooms, high speed, free wi-fi internet and business centre.

I'm Mr Lee, coming from Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia to Kuala Lumpur for sight seeing. Overall, I am quite satisfy with my stay at Hotel Chinatown 2. The room are clean, bright and the staff are very friendly, with good manner. They provide enough facilities for us including place to store our luggage after we had check out from our room. The hotel room is clean and location is right on the middle of Chinatown. 5 minute walk to Pasar Seni Train station and Free shuttle bus service (Purple Line) is going near by the hotel, on the way you can find many restaurants but foods in chinatown is expensive than other areas in Kuala Lampur, you can find some cheap restaurants little bit away from chinatown area. At night street gets full with small shops but as i said earlier all the things are expensive in Chinatown. Staff were very friendly and helpful,

Great budget hotel”
hotel chinatown 2 was an amazing little hotel! i had the single room with no window which was perfect. it was very small but super clean and the room was set up very functionally so it doesn't feel small at all. hbo was a bonus, internet worked in the room, shower pressure and hear were amazing! it's right on the petaling street, which is the main walking market in kl so you're right in the middle of the action. there's also a lrt and bus station near bye so getting around the city from there was a breeze. the man who runs the hotel is probably the friendliest guy you'll ever meet and gives you tons of advice and tips without you even having to ask for it. i was booked for 3 nights but ended up staying 5. great place, i'll def be back.

Nice Hotel, Great Location”
my husband, our 9 year old son and 9 other friends stayed in hotel chinatown 2. people are very accommodating in assisting us in renting shuttles and even arranged for us some tourist destinations. we were in a room without window, noise from outside the busy street of chinatown was not a problem at all. room size is not so big but just enough for a comfortable sleep. airconditon and wifi is always available, as well as hot and cold water.

Very neat and clean, helpful staff and accessible location”
I highly recommend Hotel Chinatown 2, the staffs are very helpful especially Rakeep (Receptionist). I commend him for such a help looking for accessible way for our tours. Also, the room is very clean. Everyday they clean up the room and change the towels. The location is good because it's near to the night market (it's only downstairs).

I would recommend Hotel Chinatown 2. It's location is excellent, on the same street as the bustling day and night markets in Chinatown, although unaffected by noise. Close to the metro station which itself is only one stop from Sentral station. Room was comfortable and clean with a good range of English language TV channels. Otherwise, room was advertised, and good value for the money.

Good value with a great location but small rooms”
As one of the cheaper KL hotels my expectations were fairly low, but the Hotel Chinatown 2 was perfect for my needs. The location, which is on a covered and crowded shopping street in the heart of Chinatown, sounded like it might be in a low-rent district, but it turns out KL's Chinatown is very clean and well located. There are many sidewalk cafes very nearby, which are popular with tourists and locals alike. The rooms here are quite small, and the cheaper ones like the one I booked are on an interior hall with no window, but they are very clean and quiet and a really good value for KL.

Best location with good facilities”
stayed at hotel chinatown 2 for 5 nights. did not know what to expect when we landed there. it was a good experience to stay there. daily room cleaning, hot/cold water fountain, big tv in the reception (euro cup 2012 ongoing), friendly staff in the morning. night staff seem to be bit grumpy. not that they are not friendly, but could be due to the timing. there is a reflexology centre right below the hotel. location was amazing, right in the middle of petaling street - chinatown. also very near to the plaza rakyat lrt station.

Nice Hotel, Backpacker feel with separate rooms”
Smallish room with no windows, small ensuite shower/wc, aircon not controllable from inside room so room quite cool. Wifi throughout hotel and satellite/cable tv in room and reception. There was a bar/restaurant underneath Hotel and Chinatown market in front of Hotel. If you arrive in the evening by taxi, the taxi will have to drop you off at the end of the street because of the market. Only stayed 2 nights before flight to Thailand.

The hotel can be a bit hard to find since it is on the Chinatown market street. Depending on when you arrive it might be hard to find the sign because of all the stalls that is set up on the street outside. Once inside, you will find a helpful staff, small but clean rooms with a good shower, WiFi, central AC, No noice and a poor tv. The only bad thing with this place is the size of the rooms. No way to unpack your bags, and just enough place under the "desk" to put our 2 backpacks. However, it is perfect for a stop in KL when you want to see the town. Middle of Chinatown, you litterally walk out the door onto chinatown market. You have easy 5 min walk to the 2 trainstations (MRT & LRT) that will take you almost anywhere in KL. Got discount at the counter when staying for 3 nights! Staff overall friendly and helpful.

Great place - bargain”
I stayed here for three nights. The hotel is right in the heart of Chinatown but my room was not noisy at all. Staff great, room cleaned daily, 24 hour security, close to the station and amazing price for the room (10GBP). Outside you have the street market as well as the food and drinking areas. The room had a double bed, aircon, English language tv, power shower plus security box (in reception) etc etc. I even checked out a hour or so late and they didn't deduct anything from the deposit. Recommended. Good location to explore the city as train travel in very cheap.

i had a great stay at hotel chinatown 2 as it is in an ideal location in the heart of chinatown , perfect for shopping and eating out opportunities. the rooms are fairly small but always clean and ideal for a short stop over for a day or two in room wifi is a bonus as is international satellite tv
