Nice little hotel, good location (of course that one depends what on you're looking for, it's not the Quartier Latin for instance), more than decent room for a small price (almost half the price of similar offer by big chains, but of course YMMV). The bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated and so was very clean . The room and the bed were clean and had a decent size. The carpet on the floor on the other hand, while not dirty, clearly had seen better days and is probably due for replacement but that's really a tiny quibble, especially when you factor in the price of the room. Staff was nice and professional.

My wife and I were looking for somewhere affordable yet good-quality to stay while in Paris, definitely lucked out choosing hotel Claret! The staff were very kind and understanding when there was an issue with our original room, and did everything possible to make the moment right. Would definitely stay again.

No aircon so a bit hot but a fan found in the cupboard made it ok temperature wise. Very good breakfast included. Clean and close to station.

Standard rooms are really small ”
The pictures on their website are a bit misleading as they represent the nice big rooms with a higher rate. In the pictures the hotel looks very modern, clean and renovated but in theory not everything isn’t moderated yet and doors and corridors look old and used. I complained about the kind of false representation of the pictures online and they upgraded my room. The second room they gave us was excellent but not Standaert. I used earplugs to go through the night because I’m very sensitive for noise, coming from the corridors during the night. The doors aren’t too isolated.. But the hotel guests were all very educated and quiet people. It’s just that I could hear quiet well the conversations of people in the corridors. The hotel is improving all there services and general looks and it’s going in the good direction. It’s definitely price quality in equilibrium . I would say it’s ok. It’s a go. Just don’t expect that much.

I know European 3-stars are lesser than North American in general, but this couldn't have been a three star. It was the most I've paid in Paris for the worst room. Very dirty carpet and the bathroom had no shower stall. I've had that before but the shower head holder was broken as well, so it was just a real let down. Only good if you need to use Bercy train station early morning. The staff was friendly and bedding clean, preventing this from being a total disaster. I don't usually even write bad reviews, but had to say something with this one.

Bad smell all over the hotel. The shower was damaged and dirty! The water of the shower stacked during taking shower and dirt has been returned from the drain. Rooms were very small and not comfortable. not recommend

Couldn't stay there”
We could not stay at the hotel. There was renovations going on downstairs and it was all plastic on the walls. room was not clean and smelled. they had the windows wide open and had difficulty sleeping as mosquitos. We booked another hotel and was unable to get refund as it was non refundable booking. I would not recommend this hotel.

Worst hotel and staff working ”
We stayed for a night and it was a nightmare starting the time we checked in. Rooms are cramped and most importantly hotel staff does not know how to talk. At the time of check out, we were asked to pay city tax which we already paid when we checked in but the staff forgot to update their system. Never met such a terrible staff at any of the properties we have stayed in all over Europe. This hotel is the worst. Location is well connected and is a plus point. Horrible hotel in Paris!

No vuelvo a este hotel ”
Hotel antiguo,viejo, descuidado y sin reformar. Yo le quitaría las 3 estrellas. Limpieza en hotel y habitación mínima. Aire acondicionado es un ventilador. Camas estrechas e incómodas. Ruido nocturno de trenes por estar enfrente de la Gare de Lyon. No busquéis la sauna, spa, jardín y piscina para relajarse que anuncian en su web porque no existen. El bar y restaurante con comida francesa que anuncian está cerrado. Sólo un bufet mínimo de desayuno 2 horas y si no llegas de los primeros se acaba la única bolsa de pan de molde que ponen. Si pides más pan al camarero te dice que lo pidas en recepción..... Lo único bueno es la parada de metro en la puerta....Mejores hoteles por el mismo precio en París seguro....Me equivoqué reservando mi estancia aquí...
