The hotel has a charming Parisian atmosphere and the location is excellent - also if you want a good nights sleep! My room was very comfortably, the cleaning was very satisfying too - and importantly - the hotel staff were very friendly and professional.

A charming hotel, on the quiet, safe Ile St. Louis. The Concierge was incredibly helpful with some travel concerns. The included breakfast was excellent. We loved our upgrade to the spacious Honeymoon Suite!

Hotel has a lovely characterful reception area. Lovely wooden panelling on walls etc a lot of historical features preserved. Very clean, lovely thick towels. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast beautifully presented but could include more protein with more cheese and perhaps boiled eggs and/ham added.

Central Location”
Although the rooms are not large like most old hotels in Paris it is made up for by many other factors. Location: Close to transport ( Botabus, Metro, etc). Restaurants on the Île Saint-Louis, the Latin and Jewish Quater.

Considerate and kind staff. They gave us a bigger room with street view to accommodate our baby. Near shops, cafes and nice restaurants. Tucked in a quiet charming neighborhood very near the river Seine.

Staff unresponsive to crisis.”
I purchased a stay at the Lutece In the very quiet period after New Year’s, on Agoda. It was non refundable. But the Omicron crisis made it progressively less possible to make use of this stay, as i was coming from the UK and no -essential travel was banned and my flight was, separately, cancelled and refunded. In the end i also tested positive for Omicron and this too would have kept me out of France. Agoda said they would refund my cost if Lutece agreed. They refused. I called them and the person i spoke to was sympathetic. I ssid i was not seeking a refund but was hoping for at least a partial credit towards a future stay. He was understanding and said he would take it up with the owner. No one called or write back even to say no. I followed up with sn email. No response at all. Hotels are about hospitality, not just accommodation; in fact think of the broad meaning of ‘accommodation’ and hospitality is built in. I know, i also run a B&B. We have waived many rules and stretched during Covid. That is the sort of kindness and welcome i hope for in booking a place to stay. Sadly, Lutece, does not live up, even remotely, to my hopes.

Lovely hotel in central Paris”
We stayed at Hotel de Lutece for a weekend break in Paris and it was perfect for this purpose. Centrally located on Ile St Louis, many of the big sights are within walking distance e.g. Notre Dame barely 5 minutes away. However it was also very quiet and on a lovely street packed with charming artisan shops and nice restaurants. We recommend the cheese shop opposite, the chocolate shop next door and any of the cafes selling berthillon ice cream. You are also a few minutes walk from the metro system if you want to visit any of the sights further afield. The staff were polite and attentive. The hotel itself is warm and cosy, the rooms slightly small - but this is Paris remember - and the shower was powerful and hot. Overall, a slightly expensive stay (but nothing out of the price range for similar hotels in the capital) but well worth it for a comfortable stay in a well located hotel in charming environs.

This was a wonderful experience at the end of our European holiday. The hotel was old, beautiful and in a fantastic location. Walking distance to major tourist attractions but in a quiet street, but had little quaint shops, bakery, ice creamery, boutiques, cheese shops, everything I thought Paris would be like and this hotel certainly did not disappoint, Would gladly stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in Paris,

hotel de lutece is very nice and good value for the location. it does not have extra modern amenities, but everything is very clean and neat. service is perfect. the location could not be better.

It is located in Saint-Louis Isle, just a few minutes walk to Notre-Dame. The room is clean and cozy. Though it looks small at the first glance, a lot of built-in cabinets make it not difficult to accommodate many stuff. And the bedroom is larger than other Paris hotels'. Point is, it has air conditioning.

Took the larger superior rooms which was worth it, since the other rooms seemed quite small (the entire building is). Felt it was good value for the price. Good location near notre dam. 5min away from a metro station. Breakfast was a little pricey i must say (14euro p.p/day), but friendly staff made up for it!

Friendly and helpful...”
We reserved the only triple room and it was not ready until late in the afternoon. We were very pleased by the staff - all smiles, ready and very willing to help at every turn. The Ile St. Louis is our go location in Paris - not only for the original Berthillon ice cream, and the numerous cafes and boutiques but because despite the commercializations, it is still a village.
