A Perfect Stay”
Hotel was better than we expected. New, extremely clean, modern, comfortable and quite. Service was excellent check in very quick and easy. Hotel location is out of the way but only 10 mins to Laguardia Airport. Free breakfast is very poor lacking in quality and care.

Easy approach, affordable , new decor, good rooms”
It was nice 3 night stay at this hotel. Hotel staff, especially the person at reception( I don't remember the name) was courteous and attentive. At first we were very disappointed when we discovered that room was not cleaned and bed sheets were previously used and not changed before letting room to us. However, after pointing it to the attendant at the reception was very quick organized cleaning and got all the linen and quilts changed with fresh. Rooftop breakfast is excellent and you get a breathtaking view of Manhattan, NY from there. For us it was very conveniently located. We did not have any parking problem there considering NY parking issue. Entrance to hotel is a bit conspicuous otherwise a good relatively new hotel.

Comfortable and hassle free”
During this trip I stayed in various hotels including the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan and as odd as it may sound I felt most comfortable at hotel de point. I only chose this hotel as my in laws lived two blocks away and it gave us somewhere close and comfortable to retire to in the evenings after spending time with family and whenever we got back to our room it was a great joy seeing a spacious room with a good line up of tv channels and modern architecture. It was the most comfortable of the hotels I stayed in which includes two hotels in Miami by the beach and others.

Chic, clean and affordable...with gorgeous views!!”
Hotel De Point did not disappoint...in fact it inspired. The modern details were so well done. The lobby is a work of art. The best part of the hotel is eating breakfast on the rooftop solarium taking in the spectacular view of Manhattan...the whole island! Simply amazing. I've already recommended it to my family and friends. Best hotel I've stayed in since the Broadmore in Colorado!! Two very enthusiastic thumbs up. Even my teenage kids were wowed by it...not an easy accomplishment!!!

Excellent”
Our short stay in the De Point hotel was really nice with one small disappointment: shuttle service to the airport. It is very hard to communicate with the driver who does not speak English. English is not my first language as well, and I understand that we all need to work. But I do not want to be yelled in a foreign language at 4 am when the driver does not understand what is going on and refuses to take me to the airport. Very stressful

Hotel de Point Overnight Stay”
The hotel was further from LaGuardia than anticipated. It is in an area where you cannot get food if you arrive late at night unless you have a car. European influenced hotel. Spartan room with no mirrors except bathroom. Free airport shuttle which is a plus. Our plane left too early for us to enjoy buffet breakfast.

Good experience ”
The Hotel du Point worked out really well for me for my short trip to NYC. The building is nondescript from the outside, and a little tricky to find the checkin lobby, but my king bed room was spacious with high ceilings, big bathroom with great pressure and hot shower, black out curtains and an efficient heating and cooling that gave off white noise that blocked out any hallway sounds. This is in a mostly Asian neighborhood and much of the staff and guests were Asian too so if that makes you uncomfortable...... I arrived without a working phone so called the hotel from a courtesy phone for a pickup since it's on demand. Because I didn't have a number they could call me back on, they said to get a taxi and receipt and get reimbursed so that's what I did. The breakfast was boiled and scrambled eggs, sausage, huge NY bagels, cereals, pastries, ramen noodles, juices and waffles. It's in the rooftop restaurant, so nice views. If coming back, I'd book here again!

Good except for terrible problem with room keys.”
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel with the exception of one major problem. The extreme irritant was the failure of the electronic keys to work satisfactorily. As these whew required both to activate the elevators to access our floors and to enter our room, this was more than inconvenient. It was necessary to bring the the keys to the front desk repeatedly to have them reset, sometimes several times per day! Eventually one of the maintenance staff mentioned that this problem would be reduced if the keys were kept separate from phones, any other electronic devices, or keys. Even after we followed his instructions we still had key problems although less often. Unless this problem is fixed we would not return to this hotel and could not recommend it to others. The whole idea about segregating the keys is absurd anyway - many women carry their phones, keys, and pretty much everything else in their handbags. Where are they supposed to put their electronic keys??? The staff also mentioned that many other visitors were complaining about key problems. Otherwise we liked the modem style of the hotel, the rooms, the attention to cleanliness, and especially the friendly helpfulness of all the staff members we encountered.

I enjoyed my stay”
It's not easy to find a reasonable, clean hotel with friendly staff in NY but I did just that. I would definitely return back to this hotel. Chomping breakfast on the roof top, friendly staff that's willing to help. I loved the modern decor. This hotel was Suu l budget friendly and comfortable

Exceptional”
Great service. Really close to LaGuardia so made it easy to return car rental in the morning. It does have shuttles if you don’t have a car. Highly recommended. There is a lot of repair going on and remodeling so you will see a lot of workers.

Our stay -our third here. ”
There were crumbs in one drawer and one pillow missing a pillowcase but this is nitpicking. The rooms are very modern. Onsite parking is great. Rooftop free breakfast. The elevators open two ways-one side to the facilities - other side to the hotel rooms-access by scanning your room card. Many overseas airlines use the hotel for ease of the flight crews near the airport. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel”
The staff was great. The location was perfect for me while visiting my family. The massage place inside the hotel is amazing. I will be staying at this hotel the next time I visit NY.

Great stay for my buck”
Hotel is in Asian neighborhood. Parking is shared with other businesses but we never not had a place to park. The buffett is $30 a person and that was too expensive for me. Sals pizzeria is excellent located in the lower level of hotel. Checked in at noon but room was not ready for another hour. Staff was nice and professional. Room was modern and clean with comfy bed. Shower was amazing. Thermostat only went to 80 and the room was not too warm but not enough to complain. I enjoyed myself and will be going back. Definitely a gem in the neighborhood.

Nice, modern hotel...but weird parking attendants!”
The hotel itself was nice and modern and in a relatively quiet area. The beds were comfortable and room was clean. Since it's a new hotel, all of the amenities were functional. There were absolutely no issues with the aesthetics and comfort at all. Now to the not so good part. The hotel shares the same building as a Chinese supermarket and a couple of restaurants. If you've been to a Chinese supermarket, the car traffic is usually crazy. During most hours of the day, there are about 4-5 non-English speaking Chinese parking attendants who look like they're part of the Chinese triad. When I first pulled into the parking lot, they waved me over and asked me in Mandarin where I was going (I'm Chinese, by the way). I spoke to him in English that I was going to the hotel and he asked me to follow another guy. The other guy apparently didn't know of this and ignored me. So, I tried parking on my own. They soon waved me back. When he heard me speaking Cantonese to my family, he changed to Cantonese and told us that he would have to give us a parking pass and pay him a tip. I didn't really understand what this tip was for, but I knew they somehow had "control" of the parking lot. I didn't want my tires to be slashed, so I gave him $10. I was given spot #65 and was told that that was my spot. The spot was one of the farthest spots from the hotel entrance. Over the next few days, my spot would regularly be taken by other cars during the day time and I complained to the parking dude. His response was that it was too difficult to control in the daytime and that I had to find my own parking. So much for the "fee" that I paid for the parking spot. And of course, no one would park in my spot at night because it was at the other end of the lot. The hotel really need to get rid of these guys...I don't care if they pay them a few grand or what...it's really causing hotel residents a hassle. Either that, or they section off a part of the lot for hotel use only.

Friendly staff, convenient, awesome rooftop view”
My stay was wonderful. It felt like home away from home. I like the complimentary hot coffee and hot water 24/7 in lobby. The modern bright feel of the room makes me feel fresh and positive. The hotel is above an Asian supermarket, other restaurants, a day spa, laundromat and gift shops. In the same hotel, there is a buffet style restaurant, senior center, karaoke, and rooftop bar and lounge with amazing views and happy hour $1 drink. So it's like a one stop shop. Staff was friendly, especially kathy and Tyion, and always willing to help.

I would definitely come back ”
A lot of people found it inconvenience and was confused getting to the hotel lobby because you have to take the elevator that is located by the grocery store. For me, that little inconveniences paid off when I got in my room. It was a very modern room along with a 55 inches LCD, many HBO channels, comfortable beds, very clean, and excellence breakfast. They also have a shuttle that will take you to subway in queen, from there you can take the subway to time square, rockefeller, statue of liberty, 9/11 ground and etc... Overall, I'm very satisfied with this hotel and I will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel but hard to find, great price”
It was a little hard to find, but once we got there it was like oh my god. So new and modern, beautiful for the price we paid. Really comfortable. Wifi did not work on ipad, some employee did a quick fix and worked afterward but really slow. Took a couple of hours to download a show that usually takes less than 5 minutes and that was extremely stressful. Rooftop breakfast was beautiful and delicious. The fire alarm went off after midnight, my heart dropped we panicked, we saw the heads popping out of all the rooms. They said it was nothing afterward but the panick and stress, omg..

Nice and comfortable but very far”
The stay was very good, the rooms were clean and crisp. Hotel staff was helpful in trying to figure out how to get to the NYC. But if your reason for stay is to visit NYC during your stay, PLEASE spend the extra money and stay in the NYC. Anytime you leave NYC area towards Flushing which is where this hotel is, you have to pay $ 7.00 each time as a toll which can add up if you are driving back and forth. The hotel is VERY FAR and if you take a cab, be prepared to shell out $60.00 at least. Best thing is to take a subway as the hotel has a shuttle to the subway station every hour. Also the hotel is in Flushing area which is actually China Town which we did not know until we got there so not a very nice place to just walk around. Not that China Town is bad but I really didn't want to come to NYC to see China Town. If it's your cup of tea, go for it.

Very good”
The staff were nice, very clean facility, lobby was very nice, so were the rooms, a nice breakfast that was on the last floor and you could go on the outside roof that was decorated with seats and see the bridge from there. Pretty amazing! I didn't know it was in China/Korean town. Felt like outsiders. The hotel also had restaurants that were interesting. Hot Pot was $45 per person very expensive for a buffet. Again didn't go in because we felt like outsiders. Although the hotel wasn't that far from the city. maybe 30 minutes. I reccomend this hotel if you're Asian. Had a good experience either way!

Brand new hotel, but service needs improving”
It's a brand new hotel just opened last month. So the amenities are pretty good, except some occasional weird smell in the bathroom. It's at college points near Flushing. Far away from subway station but with bus Q25 at the front and ample parking spaces. The price is also very reasonable with 2 beds in a room by NYC standard. But the service is just terrible. Asked for housekeeping in the afternoon and confirmed with both front desk and maid. But they somehow still missed it.
