Lovely and helpful staff, great location, very clean”
The staff of Hotel Sweden was very accommodating. Everyone was kind and helpful. The hotel is spotless! I particularly love how clean and nice the toilet and shower are. And the bed and pillows are so comfortable, we had the best sleep while in Paris. The location is also great, found in between embassies and offices so security was always patrolling the area. It’s also a few minutes walk away from the Invalides and Orsay Museum if you’re up for some stroll. Breakfast was nice as well. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

Nice small hotel in St Germain”
Nice small hotel in an attractive building in a pretty street in St Germain de Pres. The room was comfortable but small. A five-minute walk to a metro station. Several small good restaurants nearby and an excellent bakery for breakfast. I have stayed here every November during my annual business trip to Paris. On this trip I found that the water in my room was not really hot - it was only warm and with the temperature outside below 5° I would expect hot water. I must clarify that I never had this problem in previous years staying at this hotel. My room this time was on the 6th floor at the very top of the hotel and if that was the problem then I would recommend staying on lower floors. However the most serious problem for me with this 2013 stay at the Hotel de Suede is that they have now changed their wireless Internet provider and the new provider does not allow sending and receiving of emails through POP3 and SMTP. This means that guests using Outlook (or any other email client) cannot send or receive emails while staying at this hotel. (If you only use webmail then that would not be a problem). As I was on a business trip, this was a serious inconvenience. For this reason alone, I will be unable to use this hotel again. There is a very good, small, inexpensive restaurant at the nearest intersection called "Au Pied de Fouet". The restaurant is quite famous and sometimes you may need to wait outside for a table.

Our fist night in Paris”
It was our first trip to Paris & my husband and I arrived very late (after 12pm) at the hotel. However the staff that night was very accomodating. The nearest metro is the Vaneau station or alternatively Serves Babylone. It is about 10 mins walk to Musee d'Orsay & Seine River. From there you can take the Batobus (river cruise) or the hop on/off bus

mrs.”
Hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was delicious (if expensive). Longish walk to metro stops, and when we called a cab, we were charged 7 euros. Even on the last day when we booked transportation to CDG, we were charged a fee although the desk clerk assured us that the total price was 60 euros. (I asked several times). We were not happy to be told 68 euros at the airport. No mini-bar was also a drawback, although the staff did let me put some cheese into their refrigerator.

Excellent Location”
A great place to stay for a night or two (any more than that and you're much better off with an apartment). Very small but ultra clean rooms and very quiet. Excellent location near Rue de Sèvres.

Good hotel at strategic location”
Arrived late from Vienna. Check in was okay until the guy receptionist asked for the reservation voucher. Although their system had all my bookings details (name, passport number and credit card number), he insisted for the booking voucher. I showed him the e-voucher i stored in my ipad. However, that was not sufficient to him. He reiterated and insisted he needed a hardcopy. I was informed that if i could not provide with him the hardcopy voucher, i should email him the soft copy and i had to pay for the wifi access. He then rudely asked if i read the terms and condition of the booking that hardcopy is a must and required! I travelled from Philippines to Malaysia, London, Switzerland and Austria, none of the hotels which i stayed requested further than the e-voucher i showed on my ipad. The attitude displayed by the receptionist was a big turn down and rather unwelcome! I resorted to play calm and reminded myself what Paris had to offer other than this rude receptionist!

Very quiet hotel”
I booked two rooms for three guests. I ended up in a really really tiny room which had two entrance doors. It was hard to bring in my luggage. The room key was difficult to use -- an electronic one would've been more convenient. My friends ended up in a slightly larger room with two beds, and a tub! Both rooms didn't have a bar, or even an thermos for hot coffee or tea. There is also no restaurant. We tried to order food at night but they don't serve after a certain time. The neighbourhood was very quiet and the closest convenience store was many many blocks away. Bring your own food and drinks! Even the lift is really small, it only fits five persons. We asked the reception to call a cab for us, but no one informed us there's extra charge for that. The redeeming feature of the hotel was the internet, which was very fast and reliable.
