Great location, clean room, small in space”
i was passing through paris for 24 hours. i wanted something in central and hotel des ducs d'anjou offered me exactly what i needed. without much research about the hotel location or the city of paris, i booked this hotel as this is around the area i was told to stay. the hotel is within reach from chatalet / le hallis station. there are direct train to this station from the airport. however, do get a local map before hand as i could not found it on the map of the metro station. so i panicked for 10 mins, as i don't speak french at all. the exits of this massive metro station is confusing. i suggest you get to the group from any exit first. much easier to navigate with your gps phone rather than figuring the closest exit. the check in lady was in her casual outfit but she was really friendly. i started with the usual "bonjour! sorry i don't speak french and i only speak english." she smiled back and said it is no problem and welcome! this treatment is hard to find in paris. (btw, i had an african french shop keeper in a 5 stars denim store kept telling me he didn't not speak in english in french and gave me a lot of hesitations to help me with the vat refund form, even he was told by his english speaking manger to complete this simple task for me, i don't understand this kind of behavior). the room is nice and again tiny to my likings. however, it is clean and moden looking. the bath room is clean and functional but small. choose this hotel for a 1-2 nights of transit.

Best hotel in the area”
Our stay was fantastic, the staff are so friendly and all that we came across spoke great English. The location for our reason to travel was perfect being in Le Marais and it is really one shop away from one of the Chatelet underground station entrances. It is on a pedestrian street so no traffic noise to speak of. It is a lively area so if you're planning to go to the bars and clubs around, this is the perfect place to go. The only drawback was the breakfast isn't cheap and we went a little late (but still 40 minutes before breakfast stopped) and pretty much all the food was gone and the service at that time was lacking. The overall stay was so good that breakfast didn't dampen our thoughts on the stay.

Central Location”
It was a nice hotel with good location. Centrally located, close to public transport (metro/subway Chatelet station), clean room and bathroom, and comfortable bed. The shower cubicle (with the curtain) was tiny but at least the hot water worked and drain was good. The room was small too but that is quite common for Paris. The best thing this hotel has was the elevator - even though it was so small but it was needed especially with someone like me who traveled from Asia with heavy luggage (especially when travel during winter). This elevator was such a huge help rather than using staircases especially when your room is on the higher floor.

Nice hotel, strategic location, small lift”
Hotel location is excellent near Chatelet metro, easy to get around, room a bit small but that's normal in Paris. Staff are friendly, checkout at 12pm. The only downside is the lift/elevator is so tiny.. Only fit 2 people. For those who are staying at upper floor/carrying lots of baggages may find difficult. Bedsheet changed daily. Didn't try the breakfast so can't rate. All in all happy with our stay

Would be better if the air conditioning system is functioning better”
1) room and toilet feels clean 2) single bed is comfortable though a bit small 3) room size is small but is expected in paris 4) could have been better if the room comes with a bottle of complimentary water per day. It currently does not. 5) lift is small. Can fit 1 person and 2 luggages. 6) ambience in hotel is quite nice 7) shower area is small. As one showers, the curtains of the shower area will stick to you because of how small the space is. But the water pressure is quite good and water temperature is good too. 8) hotel staff is nice and friendly 9) breakfast area looks nice. Enjoyed breakfast. There is fresh orange juice which one can enjoy for breakfast which is a plus point, but people who do not fancy sour drinks might not like this. Breakfast can get boring after 3 days of the same spread. 10) air conditioning system does not seem to be working. Booked 2 rooms and both face the same situation. Had to leave a small gap at the window so that there is some ventilation.

Pleasant Hotel in Good Location”
Good little hotel in an excellent location. Entrance to a main metro hub is right outside the front door. Hotel is within easy walking distance of several cafes and nightlife spots. The bathroom is tiny but that's nothing I haven't experienced before while traveling, so it was not at all a discomfort for me. The only issue is that the bathroom would begin to smell like a sewer at times if a fan wasn't on or the door left open. The smell never flowed into the bedroom (even with the bathroom door open), so it isn't something I would label as a major issue.

Fantastic location, ”
this time was the second time we stayed in the same hotel. we stayed 14th july 2010. first time the room was horribly small. but clean. the bathroom was extremly small so you had to be careful moving around inside!. so the second time, we were hesitated to pick this hotel again. however, we were a but too late booking for the bastille day, so we had to book the same one!! this time, the room was much much better. at least you could move around!!!! room was clean. but no bath. fantastic location, and friendly people.

Small and cosy hotel with 24 h (frienldy) staff.”
Very pleasent stay in our Deluxe suite. The reception was staffed 24 hours. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, instead we chose to take brunch at a nearby restaurant (several restaurants close to the hotel served brunch).

A horrible & tired stay in Paris!!!”
Pro the hotel located centrally, few minute walk to subway station where can take u to anywhere in paris. u can take RER train from airport to the hotel. Con 1st day when check in the room in lvl 1, i found out the air conditioning is not working n reques the staff come up n check. And the staff told me its working, jus take some time. Then i was ok coz wanna go out walk around. But when we come back at night, the air condition still not working. then i go down n check v the receiptionist(French guy). And he replied that "NOTHING HE CAN DO" n juz provide me a small fan to me n ask me to bear it tonight n will change the room tomorrow for me. i told him that how can i sleep v this little fan then he said juz open the window. 2nd day they change the room to me in lvl3, the air conditioning work well in 1st 2 days. after that the same problem appear again in night time, then i go down again n talk to receiptionist (Asian guy). This time i found out they purposely turn off the air conditioning (the hotel air conditioning is central control where can remote control to turn on/off in hotel receiption). N the reason given to me is the ppl whose stay in lvl4&5 complaint that its 2 cold n request to turn off, i was like how could it be coz they can turn off the air-con in their room. i keep complaining to the receiptionist. Finally he switch on the air conditioning for me n promised to change the room for me tomorrow in lvl 4 to avoid this problem happen again. So again, i change the room to lvl4, like usual, the air conditioning work in early day. Then the nightmare back again in my last day stay, the air-con off again in night time. Same routine happen, i went down n talk to the staff, same reply "nothing i can do". Again i keep complaining. Finally he show me the remote control panel, i notice that few room been manually turn off then i question the staff bout this. N he know wat he replied "he don know". then i asked how u expect us to sleep at night, same answer, "op

Nice but small room”
I had a pleasant stay there. The solo room was quite small though but very quiet and there was a bathtub in the room, which is not a given for parisian hotels.

Fair, Clean & Standard Room”
The experience is not bad. Staff are friendly and offered me an early check-in. Close to Metro and other attractions, shopping mall and restaurant. Price is just fair, not too low. Close to Bar, a bit noisy at night, lucky i was on top floor.

Value for Money”
Overall is worth to money. Strategic location with 2 mins from the main metro station. You can hear what's happening on next rooms. My room was facing a night life street, happening on Fri & Sat night, but quite noisy until midnight.

Small room in middle of busy streets ”
The hotel has a good location close to luve museum but is in the middle of busy streets with many bars and restaurants, very noisy until midnight. It is a small hotels with about 20-30 rooms only. Very small room and tiny shower has cloth curtain hard to keep water in. Carpets are obviously stained, the hotel needs renovation. Our room had cleaner and cloth left in the sink when we checked in. The staff is nice, but the hotel seems being operated with very minimum staffs and resources, 1 person only at the front desk morning and evening. Not a good value hotel, will not stay again. Timhotel close by is a better choice.

Centrally located, close to metro”
the rooms were very small. nothing luxurious or fancy, but does the job for a weekend away. the staff were friendly, and spoke english. the location was probably the major advantage, being located very close to an intersection point on the metro.

Wouldn’t pay to stay here again at this price. Room small, no exterior windows, just light from a shaft. Clean.

Very good”
Spent one night. The room is comfortable but pretty small, staff was kind, a baby cot was provided for free. Great location near Les Halles, many bistrots around.
