1st time in SF? Hotel Diva is the Best”
Located in the Theater District, Hotel Diva is a boutique hotel-quaint, clean and very friendly staff. We dropped our rental car off and walked a block to this hotel where we were greeted by Carlos and Q, so friendly and knowledgeable. They have discounts on tours, recommend restaurants, and even have free happy hour 5-7. It is located near major shopping-Macy's, Sacks and close to the Hop-On Hop-off Bus and Cable car...all walking distance. Rooms are somewhat tiny but have all amenities and upgraded bathroom fixtures. Coffee Maker, ice box in room and water filling stations and ice on certain floors. 24 fitness room too...it was lovely and the staff really made it...and speaking of maids, she was also very nice. Again, really clean and well maintained and affordable for downtown SF. We loved it there!!!

Best hotel experience I’ve ever had”
The whole experience of staying at this hotel was just a great one. I was greeted by Johnathon Chow, he was super nice and helpful to accommodate me with a booking as I had just had a bad experience in a previous hotel so I was a walk-in to Diva. They showed me a great Junior Queen suite which came with an extra bedroom which was ideal for me. I was so smitten by this hotel that I decided to strike a deal with them so that I stay there each time I visit SF which is at least once a month. The area is great, decent gym, Starbucks right next door. Amazing and friendly staff, airport shuttle bus, 24/7 dinning around the area. This hotel just ticked all my boxes and has now made my regular trips to SF a lot easier, faster and welcoming. Highly recommend it.

Over-rated ”
At the arrival we had a surprise of 30 USD per day as facility fee!? and then we have received our room at the ground floor (this was even lower Than the ground floor.) Then we have requested another room and they provided immediately on 3rd floor. The Hotel should not have 4* we had better equipment/cleaner/modern room in 2-3* hotels during our US trip. The hotel does not really have any special service only the location. This is really close to everything so very convenient for a few day SF trip. The room windows are quite old so prepare for lots of noises especially during the night. Screaming/traffic etc is really disturbing. Overall I am satisfied due to the location and cleaness of the room but definetly overrated and overpriced hotel in San Francisco.

Union Square!”
Just like living in the center of San Francisco. Good staff for recommending parking spaces. The location is near Union Square! Good distance for malls.

Everything is awesome! However, the service level or the receptionist is beyond expectation!”
The service level quality is far beyond expectation, especially for four of us, family with 2 kids. Here are some of the examples: (1) when we arrived late in the night, the night shift receptionist directly offer room options (2 single beds OR 1 king beds + sofa bed) for us to choose, without any add cost. (2) Since we are check in very late and starving, he directly recommend good value restaurants nearby (pro and cons). We eat 3 out of 4 restaurants he recommend and we are fully agree with his option. (3) the security guys offers parking spot trips and trick especially as you know, the parking fee in SF is quite expensive. (4) the room w get is big and comfortable for four of us. (5) the hotel location is exactly in the centre, less than 10 minutes walk to the Union Square and nearest tram station. In the future, will definitely stay again in Diva.

Great Location, but very noisy”
It's a cool small hip hotel directly on Geary street with a good Mexican restaurant and a Starbucks attached to it. Service was polite and fast. But I can not recommend this hotel since our room directly on Geary street (a very busy street in San Francisco) was so noisy, that we could not sleep the first night there. We had to purchase ear plugs for our second night. We changed hotel after that, for 20$ more per night the Westin St. Francis just half a block away was much better.

nice hotel, great location”
The hotel is near Union Square, great location. My room was small but acceptable size. Very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the mandatory "resort fee" of $15 per day for which you get one free bottle of water per day and wifi internet. Glad I didn't drive a car…parking is expensive! Starbucks next door and many nice restaurants nearby. I would stay at Hotel Diva again.

Exceptional”
Great downtown location. Starbucks next door. Large, hip room in grey tones, small refrigerator, "Diva" shopping bag provided to use while staying there, cosmo shots in lobby during happy hour. Will stay there again.

Diva Hotel - San Francisco”
The Diva Hotel is 2 1/2 blocks from Union Square. Although parking is expensive (more than $40 USD per night), the property is 6 blocks from a BART station. The bus line that runs along Geary Street has stops nearby, and cable cars are also within walking distance. Dining options for all tastes are within a radius of a few blocks. The property has minimalist décor that provides a chic ambience. Rooms are neither very spacious nor too compact. In any case, you may enjoy the large flat-screen TVs & designer toiletries.

Perfect front desk staff and best location to Union Square and car rentals”
What caught my attention is how the front desk staff of the hotel are very friendly, accommodating and efficient. Location is quite accessible to Union Square and only a block away from the city’s car rental offices (Herrz, Alamo, etc.). Because we stayed for 11 nights, front desk (Indian guy) upgraded us to a Junior Suite. Although their suite is not what I would expect, the room is twice the size of their regular room. There’s an ice machine and water filter station free of charge for the hotel guests too. My small concern though was that on the second night, the bath tub was already flooded. We had to clean the drain ourselves thrice during our stay. Calling Housekeeping is a bit of a challenge though. Not a new hotel but am quite satisfied with the price and service of their front desk staff.

only two problems ”
Everyone complains about this, the mandatory facility fee. Dont call it a fee just include it in the full price, this goes for all hotels in area. The hotel itself was great the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Only problem with the hotel was that the room was next to alley where they load and unload deliveries. But other than that this hotel is worth it.

Small room, tiny bathroom, one bottle of water for a 4-person room, expensive valet parking, unnecessary facility charges, helpful staffs”
First off, we're not writing this review to change your point of view about Hotel Diva or suggest that you should book your trip elsewhere. We merely want to describle our travelling experience, please continue reading only if you're interested. Even for their top tier room ( Junior Suite with King Bed), the room was kind of small and the restroom was tiny making it uncomfortable and not worth the price we paid for. Although it was fast, the valet parking service was expensive, around $62/night if you include their 14% tax in. Additionally, they placed default charges on internet for 17$/ night which is understandable; however, another 17$/ night for gym access which we did not have time to use is just ridiculous according to our point of view. Another disappointment second to the tiny bathroom was that there was only 1 bottle of water/ day for a suite with maximum capacity of 4-person. Finally, staffs were friendly and helpful.

Excellent location and value”
Booked through Agoda..found an excellent deal. Hotel is well located near union square - very walkable location. Staff was lovely. Hotel itself is dim lit - but you can see the agedness of the building. Rooms very clean but hallways were a bit weathered. All told - great experience Highly recommend.

DIVA????More like DIVE”
As it was our 35th wedding anniversary I emailed ahead and ask for a room with a good view of the city. This was our first time in San Francisco and we were looking forward to seeing it by night. When I was emailed back saying they had upgraded us to a suite we were rapped. Unfortunately our happiness was short lived as our view was of the next door rooms in the adjacent corridor of the hotel so we were unable to open our blinds at all our entire stay. All our view consisted of was old windows and concrete walls only a couple of metres away in every direction. The Diva was advertised as newly renovated but as far as we could see that simply meant a lick of paint over rough unsanded walls. Every night of the 5 nights we stayed there we were woken early or in the middle of the night with some kind if disturbance which needed a call to the reception to be sorted out. All together a disappointing and expensive stay in a falsley advertised hotel.
