Very pleasant stay at Dorica
We stayed at the hotel from 8-16 September, only good feedback to give. The rooms are small, but very clean. Breakfast is limited, but acceptable. Staff is excellent and location is just perfect. Price is slightly high compared to the facilities and services provided, but all in all we enjoyed our stay and will probably choose this hotel again due to the staff and location.

a good option
Perfect location, nice and clean room, warmhearted staff, breakfast could be better if eggs and more choises of bacon are available.

I am not being mean, but this hotel doesn't worth your money and it shouldn't be 3-star
The location wasn't bad, but still a long walk from the Termini, especially when you have luggage. The hotel is on the first floor so you will have to take a lift to go up or take the stairs. The main problem with this hotel is the attitude of the staff. The staff who checked us in was very rude and impatient. He demanded us to pay when we were checking in, and fortunately I checked again on Agoda using my mobile, because I remember clearly I paid through Agoda already. So I showed him my receipt and said I had paid already - he didn't even apologise! If I hadn't checked, or didn't have internet on my mobile, I would have paid twice! When I was booking on Agoda, I requested to stay in a room with a double bed, as I was travelling with my boyfriend. The staff who checked us in asked if we were REALLY asking for a double room, as he saw the two of us are obviously two guys. I am quite tolerable to homophobia as I know the Vatican City is close by, but his attitude towards my boyfriend and I was definitely very unpleasant. The room was nice and spacious, though the flush didn't work quite well in the toilet. There were some issues with the plumb so the water kept running. The cleaning lady was very efficient and she cleaned very quickly every morning. Breakfast isn't included and one has to pay 7euros per person and notify the staff the day before if you want breakfast. Another main disappointment is that the wifi was broken after second day - it was quite slow on the first day anyway. So throughout the 3 days we had to use our mobile internet, which costed us a lot more. The staff on the third day when we checked out was kinder and more friendly, but it was too late and we were leaving Rome for our flight anyway. So whoever wants to book this hotel for the staff's friendliness, like I did, do consider it again. And with its facilities, I don't think Hotel Dorica worth the money I spent.

A Real Gem
Staff friendliness, location, breakfast
We looked at many hotel reviews before choosing this hotel and we discovered the positive feedback from other guests to completely match our experience. Peter and his staff are fantastic. They greeted us warmly like we were family. They gave us directions and recommendations which satisfied our needs perfectly. Breakfast each morning was run by Mario who is totally delightful and a real asset. The location is central and close to Termini station, S. Maggiore Basilica and Republic. If we return to Rome we will definitely stay here again.

Warm, cozy and friendly place
Feel like home, extremely warm and welcomed
Though it takes about 10 min to walk from the Rome Termini train station but definitely worth it. The staff are very helpful and fun to be with. Breakfast is simple yet nice and good and served in a cozy little corner. The staff proudly made cappuccino is extremely tasty. One thing worth to mention is we booked an early morning tour via the front desk staff and we know we'll for sure miss the breakfast. Without even asking, the staff (could be the boss?) immediately told us that the breakfast will be specially arranged for us so that we won't leave for the tour with empty stomach. So considerate, nice and thoughtful. I'm impressed with Rome due to their hospitality. Will definitely come back again~
