Cozy little hotel near Meteora
The location is great, you’re really close to all of the Meteora temples. The rooms are simple but clean. The lobby area is charming with a great fireplace which is perfect for end of day drinks. The breakfast spread was huge and the food was delicious.

Such a wonderful place
This is the last, nice hotel in Kastraki on the North West road up into the Meteora hills - only a few hundred meters from the base of the first Monastery. It's situated just off of that main road though - it's sort of behind and above the buildings there - so you can see out over the little town. The rooms and common areas are all decorated in a quaint, old-country style, and very clean. And the staff is very helpful and friendly. If they don't truly enjoy their jobs, then they are excellent actors ;-)

Great view
The staff were extremely lovely & friendly, the view was great as well. Cabbing from the train station / kalampaka town to hotel costs bout 5 euros, so that's pretty ok!

Amazing view & good location
Hotel Doupani House says that they have the most panoramic views of Meteora, and they are correct! The view of the cliffs and monasteries from the hotel is incredible! It is a nice place with comfortable rooms. If you have a car rented, it is an ideal location. It is a very easy 10 minute drive to visit the Great Meteoron Monastary, and then easy to follow the driving road to visit the other monasteries as well. You could also hike from the hotel, but we went in winter. The hotel is in Kastraki, but the larger town of Kalambaka is only a 5-10 minute drive away. You can find restaurants in Kastraki, or can drive for more options. The breakfast served here daily was great, with many options, including many homemade marmelades and local honey, which tasted great on the delicious Greek yogurt.

Wonderful location to Meteora, but awful service and noisy corridor
They put us on the room next to staircase of their old wooden block (there is 2 blocks of building). Put aside noises created when everyone go to their rooms from ground floor using the staircase, what I would like to highlight here is the voice and tune of the manager (senior management) who always talking LOUD when some late check in guests (total of 3 groups) after 11pm, the noises of talking plus noisy corridor of them, woke up my asleep little 2 years old son everytime. If I am the manager I should aware of the timing and knowing that how loud it heard by all guests who are in their rooms can hear the noise at the late hour. Who doesn't know their house well? However, the loudest voice were coming from the manager and woke all of us up everytime. The attitude of 2 senior management (a lady) and the manager were quite rude, when I just wanted to check if I got a wrong room, as I can't see the view when stand on the edge of the door to balcony. They raises their voice immediately and started to mention that "your room is cheap price, to view the meteora the rooms are more expensive." I didn't ask for change room but just started to verify whether it is the right room given.Other junior staff were all friendly. One other thing that I would like to mention is, they asked us to give a good review when checkout and "threaten" indirectly that if I am giving a bad feedback, the senior lady will lose her job. I guess that this is not good thing to say to the guest, why don't you give a good customer service while we were staying not telling to give good review when we check out. The breakfast was good, the food and service from staff both were good, including the senior lady who helped to prepare a new table when we want to switch table for getting some shadow from the morning sun.

Traditional house
It was slightly more expensive and we were hoping to get a great view but disappointed. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of local assortments, dishes and home made jams.

Most beautiful, cleanest and panoramic view Hotel, with wonderful staff.
The breakfast was awesome with handmade jams and yogurt, introduce what is available, and a good spread, with a wonderful panoramic view of the Meteora, and from the hotel, you could see at least 3 monessntories already. Tulla was such an awesome lady wearing many hats, professional, helpful and friendly. She assisted me to recover my lost wallet in Athens with another hotel, i see her in the breakfast serving and also at the reception, to arrange for my taxis around Kalambaka. The hotel was the cleanest one i stayed. They take passion and professionalism to keep the antiques around so dust free as well! love the balcony and comfortable beds that feels like home.

Visit of Meteora
View on Meteora Rocks is just terrific. Room is nice with a small balconny. Location is great if you have a car otherwise too far away from the village. Except of breakfast which is excellent you cannot get any food.

Great spot !
A wonderful spot for a trip to Meteora. We stayed one night arriving travel weary at around 5 pm having missed lunch. Nothing was too much trouble for the receptionist who found us a plate of complimentary biscuits to keep us going until Dinner (taken in the village - lots of tavernas) and gave us advice on our visit up to the monasteries for the following day. Hotel is traditional and our room was fairly small but very clean and comfortable and the little balcony with the view of Meteora made up for that. Bathroom was great with modern tiling. Breakfast was taken in the garden with the most spectacular view you can imagine. Varied choices including some Greek specialities but we plumped for some scrambled egg and smoked bacon which was delicious. Only downside was card machine wasn't working - this was a village wide problem - so take cash if possible. All in all a good comfortable stay in spectacular surroundings.
