Combo of Japanese & Vietnamese hospitality”
we stayed at hotel nikko hanoi for 3 nights. it was a wonderful stay. front counter staffs were friendly and smily. there was a conceige counter manned by experienced japanese staff who speak fluent english, to give advise on what to do, where to eat and what to avoid (independent cabby)in hanoi. we have a spacious room at the 10th floor, facing a circus and lake from far away. the room was tranquil, in stark comparison to the hassles of hanoi street below. i enjoyed myself sitting by the window observing the people of hanoi commute on their bikes over a cup of coffee. there was a swimming pool but it seemed to be under utilised and no lifeguard/hotel staff around. the pool is located at the back of the hotel. its very quite and obscured, so be careful to let your kids swim in the pool unsupervised. we have tried one restaurant in the hotel. it was a paid breakfast as our booking does not include the breakfast. we paid about but kids under 5yrs old dined for free. it has a good spread of selection. the hotel has its own affiliate taxi fleet, so there will be a taxi always ready to fetch you anyway you wish and you can pay the cabby either vnd or usd or use credit card on these taxis. these cabbies charge a fixed rate if you are heading to the airport .if you plan to visit halong bay, you can take a private tour for a day trip but the journey is tiring. 4 hours on car to reach the nearest city. 4 hours on the cruise and then another 4 hours back. you may consider overnight stay on the junk and come back to hanoi fresher the next day.

Comfortable Japanese hotel in Hanoi centeral”
I stayed only one night for business meeting held close to the hotel. My room was fortunately upgrade to the premium room for free, so that, the room was so nice, particularly in large-size bath and toilet with water shower. It offered very comfortable environment for doing my job by very high speed wireless Internet service. In addition, the breakfast at the Japanese restaurant was very delicious and as good as ones in Japan. On the other hand, one thing I felt stressed was very slow elevators. There were three elevators, but they were always crowded and took time for moving. And the price looked more expensive than I expected, considering standard. It was also awkward that many group customers sometimes gathered and had meetings at the ground flower. But, overall, I got satisfied with Nikko Hoel Hanoi, and would like to stay again.

Best hotel option in Hanoi”
Some reviews noted that the hotel is old. However, I observe that the rooms are already renovated - wallpapers, bed, bathrooms are well tiled and fixtures are new; except for the aircon controller which is still old school. The hotel's location is good as it is just about a US Dollar 1 and 50 cents taxi ride to the old quarter, if you have the Transport App "Grab". There are also reasonably priced small restaurants in the area and a "Fujimart" which sells fresh produce. If you are a health buff, you will enjoy the gym and sauna facilities because it is always empty - we were the only ones using the facility in the 4 days we were at the hotel. Breakfast selection is also substantial and varied. Check in and check out is also fast.

Japanese hospitality in Hanoi ”
Nikko Hanoi is the perfect place to stay in Hanoi. The location is super convenient, the room is nice and clean and staffs are friendly. I love staying at Nikko Hotel Chain. One truly get to enjoy Japanese hospitality out of Japan. The breakfast at Nikko is always good. I would definitely recommend Nikko hotel for travelers on business or pleasure!

NIKKO”
Arriving from Hanoi Airport was Ok, although by ordinary taxi service a first timer felt it as a risk - and those offering "professional" advices and promoting a chauffeur service seemed highly overpriced. Not an easy task to solve for the hotel I admit! Breakfast was delicious. Hotel staff was professional, experienced and friendly. The Hotel aboslutely have compettive price level, but then the location was not exactly walking distance from the old town of Hanoi - still within 10 minutes by taxi it is not that bad - just that the first impression when you arrives to the hotel you feel somewhat lost outside the city heart...

Nice and cozy except some noise from train”
The atmosphere is a bit Japanese. I had a king size bed for my stay. The room is big for single stay. The breakfast is average for 5 star hotels. The price is very reasonable for 5 star hotel in Hanoi compared with other 5 star hotels. I would definitely use it next time.

Too Short”
The hotel is located near parks and a lake with very interesting shopping along the streets. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The room was great, very spacious and well appointed. We only stayed one night but would definetly return if back in Hanoi. Breakfast was a bit ordinary and would have expected more variety for this type of hotel. Staff were very helpful in directing us to a specific area where we needed to go for shopping.

Good but not best”
I have stayed at a few 5-star hotels in Hanoi but I have to say that their staffs are all the same. The lady at the reception had a very bad first impression with no smile and asked me if my friend and I would like to stay at 2 rooms because she saw that my booking was just for one person. I booked via Agoda and that is the default of 1 room 2 persons. It seems that they don't know how to smile to guests. Instead of asking if we were going to stay at 2 rooms, she could just ask in another more friendly way. And when she realised that she was wrong about the booking information, there was no sorry from her. Apart from that, we got a very nice room with views to 2 streets. The room was very clean and in a nice decoration and the bed was very comfy too. However, the location is not really good as it is pretty far from Old Quarter and other lakes. The taxi drivers did not know where the hotel was and took an extra round to bring us back to the hotel. It is located at a bend of 2 busy streets.

Very good, Japanese hotel ”
I like Hotel Nikko because most good hotels in Hanoi are located in north or head of city centre. However, my office is very south of Hanoi. Therefore, always too far for travel. Hotel Nikko also has nice public area e.g. lobby and bathroom on the 2nd floor. It is nice to invite friend or business relations to meet.

Hotel Du Parc Hanoi”
Beautiful hotel on the outskirts of town. This is a lovely hotel to stay away from the hussel and brussel of the centre of Hanoi... The staff were very friendly and accommodating, food in the restaurant down stairs was top quality. I would definitely not hesitate to stay here again or recommend this property . The walk into the main part of town was around 30 minutes, a pretty easy walk.

A very good Hotel in Hanoi with friendly staff”
One thing I like most in this hotel is the friendly staff that they employ. From the very first day you check in you already feel welcome. My family and I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and we enjoyed every moment of it. From the door man, the concierge, reception, restaurant staff, housekeeping and of course your two girl staff at night in the executive lounge were really very accommodating to all our request. Breakfast is ok and the rooms is always kept clean by the house keeping. I would like to mention also Ms. Thuy of your sales who was more than willing to waive charges in my room since i had to cut our vacation for something very important to attend to in our country. There is only one thing that shocked me in this hotel. It is your charges for your local call. I was charged US .30/min for a local which i had to make at your business center. I was wondering why i wasnt charge when I asked concierge twice to contact my travel agent, and when i asked the help fromyour staff in the nikko lounge to order pizza delivery for me. And one more thing I wasnt issued a receipt for my payment which I paid in cash in your business center. I hope you can check on your charges for local calls. Its kinda expensive knowing that local calls are not being billed on a per minute basis. Other than this I dont have any other complain with hotel nikko and would definetly recommend it to my friends.

great place.”
It was a great experince in Hanoi. Hotel is great facilities and nice hospitality. Dong Xuang is a nice shopping experience. Lot of small shops facilitate you to select what you want. The great thing is that you can bargain (of course sellers try to show highest price for foriegners).

An Oasis of Calm”
Hanoi is a bustling, noisy city and the Nikko provided an oasis of calm before or after a day out and about. The room was comfortable and quiet, with nice extras like heated Japanese toilet, electric tea kettle, free shoeshine and bottled water. Wonderful breakfast buffet, The staff was extremely pleasant and went "above and beyond" whenever needed, including one Business Center employee's following up on a reservation problem from home. My only major complaint is the exoribitant Internet usage fee of $1/ minute. I would definitely stay there again.

Nikko's staff shines”
The Nikko met my expectations with a modern, efficient room and the efficiency of a famed Japanese company. Other reviewers here have complained about the limited English of staff, but I did not experience this; in fact, many at the reception desk were quick-witted, funny and charming. The bellhop/door employees were helpful in tracking down my tour company (not affiliated with the hotel) for a Ha Long Bay cruise. The breakfast buffet, which cost about USD $11 with a discount coupon (or about $15 without) was actually better than the $25 breakfast at the Sofitel Metropole.

Good hotel for businessman”
the hotel is quite clean and spacious. the interior decorations are up to normal high standard. there are few personnel, but at least the 3 or 4 persons that had close contact with me, in spite of being together for a relatively short time, are nice and efficient about giving us their relevant services. we enjoyed the stay here. the room is not very spacious but large enough for price/quality. the airconditioner is normal, lighting is very good to provide a long reading, the bedding is very, very clean and comfortable. in one word, this is one of the very high standard hotel.

khách sạn đáng yêu với thái độ phục vụ niềm nở”
i lke here with good club, nextstop which is a fun club. nearby there are plenty of restaurants and cafes. there is also a nice big supermarket with a mini mall and restaurants called big c. traffic there is not as crowded as central hanoi. however, it is too far from old quarter which is normally the place to visit for first timers to hanoi.

good hotel for business traveler”
The hotel is well equipped for the business traveler. It is reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel. The rooms are clean although the hotel could use a more modern touch in the near future. The location is ok if you need to be in the city for business. It is quite far from the airport and also far from the Old Quarter. Only disappointment is the breakfast, which for a hotel of that caliber, had limited choices.

Reasonable Rooms with Wonderful Breakfast”
I must say this is a pleasant place to stay in Hanoi. Whilst there is nothing to shout about on its location, transportation (i.e. taxis) is easily and readily available at all time. Overall, we had a pleasant stay in this hotel, and I would recommend travellers to consider staying in Nikko Hanoi if you have a higher budget.

one of the best in Hanoi”
A hotel with the best facilities one can get in Hanoi, not the mention the location is central with plenty of eating options nearby. Be prepared for an occasional siren from nearby passing trains
