The hotel owner (sorry I didn't get his name) is a very nice gentleman. He picked us up from the JR Hakuba station before check-in and dropped us off after check-out, both trips for free. Every morning he drove us to the gondola lift. Knowing that my kids took ski lessons from Evergreen ski school, he voluntarily drove us directly to Evergreen school and offered pickup service in the afternoon. On the very first day we got lost (as it's our first time in Hakuba and some trails were closed due to insufficient snow) and was late for the scheduled shuttle bus. Since the last bus had gone, I called from the lift and he came by in 10 minutes to pick us up. The next morning I found that someone took my rental skis (or I took someone else's skis) by mistake. He helped me contact Spicy rentals and assured me that it would be taken care of. To my surprised, the issue got resolved quickly and we didn't miss the ski school. The hotel is very cozy and highly recommended!
