There is a small 30-room boutique hotel which is named after the lovely Luxembourg gardens and has splendid murals and lovely art throughout the rooms. The building is a freestone structure where rooms either look out on to either the Gay Lussac street - which has lots of action - or the sedated and tranquil R. Collard Street. The owners have taken extraordinary care to match colors and tones in decorating the place, and the murals are remarkable. In particular, the shade of green is modeled after the tones of the gardens just down the street. Some terraces have views of the Eiffel Tower, some have views of the gardens, and from others, you can gaze down on the Parisian street life below.
