Fantastic Hotel”

My wife and I stayed here for several days. We have no complaints. In fact, we stayed in many hotels travelling through various parts of the Philippines and this hotel literally provided everything we needed that was far better than the other hotels. The front staff was friendly upon checking in (which went quickly). The room was large with a good view. AC and TV worked like a charm. The beds (and pillows) were more comfortable than most other hotels we stayed at. Housekeeping was quick to respond to laundry and room cleaning requests with a pleasant attitude. The restaurant had some really good meals. The restaurant staff were also smiling and pleasant. We rented a motorbike and was able to keep it stored in their basement parking under the view of security. Overall, this hotel made our experience in Dumaguete so much better. We highly recommend Hotel Essencia.

Exceptional”

I’ve stayed here several times over the years:) The pandemic has really hit the business of tourism in the Philippines so hard… I don’t know how places like Essencia are able stay open but I’m so glad they are:) The hotel is still fantastic and the restaurant on the ground level has been making the most amazing food this time. It was always good before, but they’re doing something different now because the food had been even better than the other restaurants we’ve been visiting… really great:) Staff is friendly and service is great as always:)

Hotel Essencia is a bargain but just coming back after the pandemic”

We booked the early ferry to Siquijor departing at 7:30 am which is what many do coming to Dumaguete, in transit elsewhere, however, the breakfast was delayed from 6 am to 6:30 am so we missed it though it was included presumably in the price. maybe they can fix that little glitch
