Charming with friendly staff, great location”
My husband and I had a delightful stay at the Hotel Eugenie. The staff was so kind and friendly. One of the concierges, Masi, took a lot of time to research the Bateau Mouches and gave us all the details, in writing. The staff was willing to speak French with me, or speak in perfect English, if we needed them to. They were all wonderful. Our room was clean and well appointed but small. We had very good wifi service. The hotel is located right in the heart of St. Germaine des Pres, minutes walk from the Ile de la Cite, Notre Dame, Sainte Chappelle, the Sorbonne, Shakespeare and Company, and within walking distance of all of the main Parisian sights. The restaurants in the area were lovely. We ate all our breakfasts at the same little cafe a short walk from the hotel. Our dinners were taken in cafes nearby. We would definitely return to the Hotel Eugenie, and would be happy to recommend it to other travelers.

Cute Hotel right in the middle of everything”
The hotel Eugenie was very quaint. The lobby was nice, the staff very helpful and spoke English. The room was small but most hotel rooms in Paris are, it was furnished nicely and was clean. If you want more space go for the triple room. You can walk right out the door and go right or left and find so many restaurants, shops and nightlife. The perfect location. I was looking for something that looked like I would imagine Paris to be or like Walk Disney version of Paris and found it around the Hotel Eugenie. I have already had my daughter stay there and would recommend to anyone, I look forward to going back.

It met my expectations”
This is NOT a flash hotel, but I knew that when I booked. I wanted a basic, budget hotel with friendly staff close to the Latin Quarter - Saint Germaine area and I got it. There are no frills with this hotel. The room is kind of small but comfortable, the bathroom is small but clean and adequate and had a heated towel rail so that solved the problem of washing and drying the odd tee-shirt and undies. The breakfast was pretty good by Parisienne standards and reasonably priced. The staff were great and allowed a 6pm check out ( for the cost of a half day rate). This is a Boho area with great nightlife and shopping, I didn't need a luxury hotel to look after my luggage...I was rarely in the room, but when I was there it was quiet due to the double glazed windows and cool due to the air conditioning, so I was very happy with the hotel and the rickety stairs will give us something to remember and laugh about.

Good Location, near metro and places of interests, foods everywhere”
A small cosy hotel, for e size of e room and washroom, e price is quite on e high side. But i think this is what you get in Paris. The location is superb good, with lots of restaurants and crepes stores, there are always crowds from day to night. This place consist of more locals than tourists. The italian restaurant beside the hotel is good, do try it. Turn right down the road to get a sim card at the tabac shop. Just a note, prepaid sim card in Paris is expensive, as most do not come with data plan, so it is separate deducted. Sim card is €5 and top up €10. i used up €10 just for minimal surfing for Google map, FB and emails for 1 day. However if u soley use it for google map, it shd be sufficient for abt 4-5 days. Turn left down the street, there are Carrefour, Paul and restaurants. There is a Macarons Gourmands shop, i would recommend to try the tomato basil. Overall, i do not mind going back to the hotel again.

Charming Convenient Accessible to many food option”
The Hotel Eugenie was located centrally to transport options, restaurant options were many and varied, we sampled a different cuisine each meal. Our check in was seamless and our room was typical Paris size, one good aspect was a slightly larger bathroom. The Hotel was obviously in the throes of renovation with the breakfast room being different from the Internet photos. We found it easy to walk to many of the main landmarks in Paris.

Good Price for Right in the Middle”
The stay was great. It was centrally located and there was easy access to the metro and RER trains. Convenient from CDG airport as no metro transfers were needed. If this is your first stay in Paris, you could do much worse as it doesn't take long to get to any of the sights you will want to see. There is nothing overly special about this hotel, but it met our need of having a place to lay our heads at night. It provides a good spot to get to know Paris better so that if you return you can get a hotel in a part of the city that you like more. While the restaurants just a few streets over in a lot of directions yielded much better restaurants.

Big plus: the location”
Quiet hotel, with an excellent location in St Germain, lots of bars, cafes, restaurants, walking streets, and crouded in the eveneings. Shops, and fun place. 50 m from the metro station. The room we had was very small, but clean and confortable. Expensive, but probably normal for Paris and this time of the Year. Recommended and give it a try, you woon't be disapointed if you don't look for a US style room, particlularly the size. Staff is nice and helpful. We had a good time there during the 3 days of our stay.

basic hotel with good location”
room is small but comfy & clean. toilet is tiny and separated from bathroom, a bit troublesome for washing hands after using toilet. Safe is provided. They will make up the room without asking your permission as there's no 'do not disturb' option given. No kettle, cups etc but you can get hot water from reception. there's a tiny lift in the hotel. Abt 3 mins walk to metro and Saint-Michel RER stn. located on a happening street in 6th arr. lots eatery nearby. Though a bit pricey but given the location and lift, still acceptable.

Great location but small rooms”
the hotel is in the heart of everything. the st michel metro station right outside its doorstep is a major interchange thus making the entire paris very accessible. the only downside is the lift does not connect to the room level directly, so a short flight of stairs are unavoidable.

Perfect location, close to Notre Dame”
The hotel was centrally located close to attractions and the Metro. the street and area area foodies heaven and shopping is well catered for. Recommend this hotel for a few nights in Paris. Did not try breakfast so cannot make a judgement.

Good location & English speaking staff”
The stay at Hotel Eugenie was generally ok since we stayed for only 2 nights. We booked through Agoda & requested for early check in but the hotel did not reply to us. So I wasn't actually expecting that I can have early check in. I reached the hotel and yeap, no early check in, but thankfully we are able to leave our luggage in their common room (FYI, seems like anyone can go into the room) and was asked to come back at 2. Went back at 2 and was given a room and when we went up, the room was still in a mess. Went down to the recep and she jus took the card with no other details on whether we would be given another room. So we went up to get the luggage down (FYI, though there's lift, u will still need to carry your luggage up the stairs), recep saw and said u should have leave the luggage there. Erm.. How was I suppose to know? In the meanwhile we saw other couples being allocated a room even though they came later. We however met with a helpful recep ( a guy) while checking out. We were then given a room 30mins later. Well, not a 'hotel' I have expectation on right from the start. So if u do not have expectation as well, this is still a ok 'hotel' as they call it.

Good but 2 major negative points”
Good hotel very well situated in the heart of St Germain, comfortable room except major draw backs: no internet and room at the top floor with no opening windows

Good location & single room was more than adequate”
the night before i checked out, i asked if the front desk could reserve a taxi for the following morning. i was told that i should just call down 10 minutes before i was ready to leave and they would telephone for a taxi. unfortunately, the next morning, i was told there were no taxis in the area and that there were never taxis available at that hour (8:30 a.m. i was told that i would have to walk a few blocks to a taxi stand. considering the fact that i had injured my foot while in paris, it was a tremendous inconvenience. the morning desk clerk's attitude was very disappointing.

Bad Experience”
Of the 7 differnt cities and hotels we travelled in our Europe vacation, Eugenie was the worst experience. Rooms were small and smelly! The bathroom was so small that you struggled to stand straight - Room !The lift was small, corridors were narrow and dark! The entire hotel looked like a space constrained hotel. Not worth the price paid for the room. Regarding the staff, most staff members were quite helpfull and understanding. But on our last day, 14th August we met a lady staff member who was extremely bad tempered, unapproachable and rude! What we liked was the location, close to the metro and the area had good restaurants. Overall the experience in Eugenie was extremely bad!
