1. Location: The location of the accommodation is great, as it is only a 3-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station. There are also convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and it is close to the shopping district between Namba and Shinsaibashi, making it very convenient to get around. 2. Cleanliness: I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was, even the bathroom. The hygiene of the accommodation is very good. 3. Size: The only downside was the size of the room, which was about the size of a master bedroom in a traditional Korean villa. I brought two 24 and 28-inch suitcases, but I couldn't open them up, so I had to lay them in front of the window and door and only open the door enough for people to pass by. There was no suitable place to eat for two or more people, even if we bought something to eat in the evening. I adapted to the room in half a day, but my family who stayed for 3 nights and 4 days had a hard time adapting. There is no sink in the bathroom, and it is located next to the dressing table. 4. Breakfast: I used the breakfast service for 3 days, and it was not bad. Rice, bread, cabbage salad, yakisoba, yogurt, drinks, milk, and cereal seem to be fixed, and there are about 3 types of soup, including curry. The side dishes change a little every day. However, overall, the food is a bit salty. 5. Friendly staff: The staff are very friendly. It was not easy to understand English, but they tried their best to communicate with gestures and body language. They also kept our luggage safe. 6. Other: You need to use your room key to press the elevator button, so they give you a key for the number of people in your room. You can enjoy free tea and bread in the lobby at designated times. I was a little surprised to find out that the cleaning service was only provided for one day, as I booked the cheapest rate on Agoda. So, make sure to check the details before booking. I recommend this accommodation if you are looking for a budget-friendly option.

The hotel is located near Dotombori, within walking distance to Shinsaibashi exit 5 where there is an escalator. There is a Don Quijote nearby and a Family Mart. There are also restaurants nearby that are open 24 hours (although I didn't try them). They serve homemade bread every day for breakfast, which is similar every day. Breakfast is served until 10am. Unfortunately, there is no complimentary water provided in the room. I booked for three people and got two beds, so we had to push the beds together. The room is not very big, so we had to take turns opening our luggage. The pillows are quite flat, so we slept poorly every night. The housekeeping staff cleans the room and replenishes amenities every day. The TV only has Japanese channels, so we didn't know what to watch. There is an elevator that is just the right size.

Near Shinsaibashi Station Exit 6 (with elevator), the room is a bit small but enough to unpack and open the luggage. There are bread and coffee in the lobby, and there is incense to close the 1st floor 🙏. You can walk to the fish market and take Nankai at Namba, which takes about 15 minutes :)

Happy with our stay at Hotel Hillarys Shinsaibashi! Location was convenient - very near to the station and shopping street, and a few blocks away from Dotonburi. Hotel was nice and clean, and I personally liked using the toiletry products and even the nightgowns. Free coffee and pastries in the afternoon til early evening was a plus! Our double room felt a bit cramped at times, but the twin room where my sister’s family stayed was spacious enough. Breakfast was ok too - good selection, value for money. Staff spoke English well and were able to address our queries. Overall, highly recommended. We would be happy to stay here again!

Great location! And i love the hot spa bath they have, though it can get a lil crowded with only 4 shower stalls. Bathroom amenities is good, theres even lotion and skin milk for you. You can choose to have your room clean up. Close to dotonbori and its at shinsaibashi. Easy access to food and shopping. There is a family mart nearby :)
