Just a lovely place. Perfect stay!”
The Fine Biwako was such a great stay we extended for two additional nights. Everything was luxurious and also cozy. The staff spoke great English and were really helpful. We so much enjoyed the small local village on the far side of the bridge. It was a great location for enjoying the lake and a seaside holiday. Breakfast was great too! We would love to go back

This actually is a love hotel. A bit old but it's a big room, big bed & clean! they provide everything you need (like shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, dryers, facial Staffs .............). The toilet also has steam sauna. Even it's a love hotel, u won't hear any noise from outside or from others room. So you don't have to worries about this. We were stayed this hotel because we were ski for few days at biwako Village, the location quite devious, it is totally ok if you are driving, if not, this hotel u may not be consider.

Cheap stay but not glamorous”
My friend and I stayed here for a night on our way from Kyoto to Gifu. It’s a little out of the way from the train lines so we had to bus, which wasn’t the most convenient, but the hotel deal made it a great price. It was fun to see the grove of love hotels and the staff were really friendly. The only downside was it was a little dingy. I felt the linens and towels were clean, but the bidet had mold on it. Overall a nice break from hostels, but if you really want to experience a love hotel maybe look elsewhere.

Quiet, clean and comfortable bed room with big bath room, friendly staffs. Close to the Biwako Valley ski resort but have to cross over the bridge ( so have to pay some more money for bridge toll fee )

Good surprise! ”
We were apreensive before we arrive to it because it was really faar away from Kyoto but everything was full in that weekend in the city and it was the only option close to the city but we were expecting more than one hour everyday each way to the city (In the end we realize that it was not that faar). It is possible to take a bus since Katata station till 6:35pm but most of times, to have dinner in the city, you have to pick a taxi and that is the most expensive (arround 15€). In the morning is easy to pick the bus near the bridge to Katata (10min) and then take the train (28min) to kyoto station. We were really surprised that the room had massage chair, big Tv on the room with lots of free movies (inclusive for adults), tv on the shower, hair dryer, etc... We realize is that it looks a love hotel where couples meet to have fun :) if you can pass that and enjoy the place with your partner is amazing! We really enjoyed it but we would stay again there just if we couldnt get anything near the inner city

Its a Love Hotel!!”
the place was pretty greate for its price. had a nice time here when we fell ill and just needed a place to stay, but for location there isnt much to do here so i would not recomend it if someone is here to sightseeing around since you have to take a buss that never goes to actualy get into the "city" Otsu. but overall you get more than what you need to pay for when it comes to options this hotel has like renting equipment for free or just chilling out with your loved one. staff is easy to comunicate with but be aware that there arent much english translation and the staff are running around 3 places so dont loose hope if there are no one at the counter. just pick up the phone and hang up untill someone rushes to the counter.

This is the third Hotel Fine we stayed in and it is the worst: hair on floor, basin area and sofa, dusty floor and tabletop. Room is spacious, equipped with fridge and massage chair and small Jacuzzi tub in bathroom. Staff however were friendly and prompt in responding to our request. Hotel is 2 minutes walk to lake.

Lover's hotel!”
Having got over the misleading internet description of this hotel, the stay was fine! It is a lover's hotel but as Kyoto seemed completely booked up everywhere, there were lots of like- minded travellers staying here. Kyoto is easy to get to with a 10 minute bus ride to Katata station and then a half hour journey by local train in to Kyoto which meant it was difficult to get to any of the sights before all the tourists! It wasn't particularly cheap and the standard was what you would expect from a two star hotel but that being said, it was an ok place to stay!

A quite luxirious hotel”
Very comfortable room and huge bathroom which is a nice surprise in Japan. Location is not great but we were driving and they had free parking. Overall a great hotel for a couple of nights if you have a car.

Nice Hotel but Too Far (its a Love Hotel!)”
The rooms are very big (even the bed with sitting area) but its too far from the train station (you have to walk far to take the bus). Its a love hotel because they have things in the room that can only be availed by those couples. Rooms have screens fpr movie viewing.
