Absolutely Amazing”
I love this hotel. I came here in 2008 during my first trip to Paris. I loved it so much I booked it again and am glad I did; I won't stay anywhere else. First off the location is unbeatable. It's right of the RER blue line which makes for a direct trip to and from the airport. The hotel is on the left bank which I tend to prefer as I find the left bank to be more relaxed than across the Seine. That said the Louvre is only 15 minutes away and getting anywhere is easy due to it's central location. Being at the steps of the Jardin Luxembourg is a true gift as well. Eating a crepe while sipping chocolat chaud at the Medici Fountain is well, as magical as it sounds. The staff are always friendly, always attentive. They will assist you on where to go depending on your interests and will help you as best as they are able. The rooms are gorgeous, roomy and beautifully decorated. The deep soaking tub in the bathroom is a dream come true after hours and hours and days and days of walking. Seriously, staying at The Hotel Fontaines du Luxembourg is a big part of my love affair with Paris.

An excellent city-break in a well-positioned hotel”
We had a wonderful four nights in the Hotel Fontaines du Luxembourg. Despite some inconclusive online photographs from previous travellers, our room (a superior double) was actually quite spacious and the bathroom was clean and well-kept. The only downside was that the 'double' bed (suspiciously wide!) was actually two fairly wide singles pushed together and made up under one sheet and a double duvet. The beds were slightly mismatched in height, and were therefore a little awkward when shifting around! The location of the hotel was perfect though - just up the street from the Jardin du Luxembourg. We didn't take the hotel breakfast and instead utilised some of the lovely patisseries and boulangeries in the surrounding streets. Surprisingly, despite being pretty central there was very little noise at night (including Saturday) - we slept very well! The hotel staff were, without fail, friendly and courteous. They answered all of our questions and helpfully stored our luggage after we checked out so we didn't have to trail it round while waiting for our train later in the day. Internet was above average (compared to the snails-pace 'broadband' offered by some hotels), and was good enough to stream music and video when required. To summarise, we'd definitely recommend the hotel! It was really well located - so much so that we only took the metro a couple of times during our stay and walked everywhere else!

Quaint boutique hotel in perfect location”
The hotel was a stone's throw from the gardens, 10 minute walk to Notre Dame, 15 minutes to the Louvre. While there is no "view," per se, it is located on a quiet side street off Germain and three doors down from a wonderful local hangout, the Cafe' Suisse, for coffee and late-night libations. The hotel staff was personable and quick to help us with recommendations and information to make our visit smooth and productive. The staff is on duty 24-hours a day, which is big help, as the city if Paris seems to be buzzing into the wee hours of the night. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to a friend looking for a clean, local place from which to tour the city.

Good location, quirky design and adequate service”
This interesting hotel in the 6th arr is well located and fun. The combination of older furniture and original elements combined with new colorful and tasteful ecclectic design makes it good option for people who are bored with boring corporate or outdated hotels. The rooms are somewhat small, but that's normal for Paris. There is a small desk next to the bed, but it can barely hold more than a laptop. The bathroom was quite spacious and like the rest of the hotel in very good condition. Wifi was also free (request access codes at the reception). Other facilities are quite limited (no coffee maker in the room and such), but that is to be expected for this type of hotel in Paris. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel (but I almost never do in hotels). Service was at least adequate and sometimes was quite good. We requested a room with a bath through e-mail and received it without any problems and getting tea, plates and cups late in the evening was no problem at all. The location is one of the main reasons I picked the hotel. Metro/RER stops are a few minutes away, everything is relatively close by. Although the direct area isn't that exciting (but safe and nice), you have enough great options for whatever you want to do within 10-15 minutes by foot. One of the only real faults I could find was the lack of a luggage storage room and the way the hotel (at least the person at the desk at the time) manages that fact. Suitcases left in storage at the hotel are lined up next to the reception desk. When we asked if they couldn't be stored in a secure location, the response (given with typical Parisian attitude) was "I'll be here all the time, our guests can be trusted and you can always take your suitcase with you if you aren't satisfied". All in all we were quite happy with our stay and I am definitely willing to return here if the price is right (I was able to get a discount, the normal prices might be a tad steep if you aren't used to hotel prices in Paris).

Fabulous!”
We stayed four nights and were delighted with this little gem in the heart of Paris. Staff is great, very helpful and courteous. The cleanest hotel we have been in Paris! Bathrooms are big with separate shower and bathtub. Contemporary room design, nice combination between modern and original architecture. Beds very comfortable. Close to shopping area and great dining is just around the corner. Walking distance from Louvre, Notre Dame etc. Small elevator, fits two people at most, but walking the stairs was a fun thing to do. We enjoyed every moment of it. Will definitely come back!

Good location”
Very well located in the Latin Quarter, just a stone's throw from the Luxembourg gardens, this hotel is typical of inner-city European hotels: the lift is tiny (but works!), the room is tight but manageable and the lighting in the room is so "atmospheric" (read: dim) that not only is it impossible to read or consult a map,but I actually had to unpack my bag with a torch gripped between my teeth. They really should issue night goggles at the front desk. Still, quite a good hotel.

Clean rooms with good location”
Arrived at the hotel and was greeted by lovely and polite staff. Love their eccentric themed rooms and baroque, rustic interiors! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Pity the rooms were quite small, as there wasn't enough space for my partner and I to open our luggages fully. Other than that, hotel location is also great. It's very close to Luxembourg RER train station, with lots of shops and amenities (supermarkets, pharmacy etc) nearby. Will go back there again!

Very good”
Overall a good hotel to stay at in Paris. Close enough to the main attractions. Breakfast was very basic and lift would only fit 1 person and 1 suitcase, or 2 people. Good staff.

Antique try to be modern hotel”
I stayed in this hotel twice. The first time we booked deluxe room and the room is in the cornor and not much of the light can come in. The room is larger than the standard room we rent for the second time, but older, which we were quite disappointed. There're moles on the bathroom's wall. Anyway, it's a good location and staffs were nice. The Best Western Hotel is only a couple meters away, you can try. They may offer better room and service, who knows?

Loved the location! But no one ever asked for ID?!”
We had a nice stay, mostly because of the location, which was super! The staff was friendly but we weren't asked about identification ONCE. We also got informed that is was a none smoking hotel but our room smelled pretty much like an ashtray. We didn't spend that much time at the hotel room but if we were to I would probably ask for an other room.

Service is lacking. ”
The first time we stayed. Gave it five stars and rave review on another site. This time the staff have changed and so does my review. Staff attitude has changed. The shower has many little holes in the wall which is eye level and looks like dirt.

The lobby and public facilities are good.”
Every thing was fine except that the furniture in the rooms (in my case 106) was not up to standard. The room can be small and inviting.....this one was not.. Public facilities and personnel ......excellent.

Should have minibar in the room. And should renovate the bathroom, especially shower wall as it seems not clean.

Great hotel, excellent location”
Great stay, perfect location, the fact that it was two single beds pushed together wasn't great, the fact the reception couldn't lend me a bottle opener also not great and I could hear the cleaner in the morning starting up the washing machine and dryer. But despite this I would go back again for the location.

This hotel does not meet expectations for visitors in Paris in 2017.. Very little help from the staff...
