Good value. Overall good business type hotel, good location. Pros: Location very good. Staff very helpful and professional. Double room is somewhat bigger than usual for Japan. Big nightstand with wide drawers next to bed. Work area and counter space. Robes large and comfortable. Slippers better than the disposable ones. Bed stiff side but good. Large headboard is padded comfortable. Window opens. Shower good (adjustable spray). Towels fine. Free coffee, hot chocolate in lobby. Free glass of wine per day (but weren't informed about it at check-in. On 2nd day we asked). Choice from 2 whites, 2 reds. One pay washing machine and dryer (next to vending machine) on two different floors. Air purifier/humidifier (very old model). Heating, air worked well, but no remote and English instructions didn't provide enough detail. We were able to figure it out, but some people wouldn't be able to. Cons: Noise issue: Room faced the front, hotel is at corner of a large intersection. Even on top

I stayed 5 days, enjoyed stay since in the city and lots of activity due to rugby matches and related celebrity arrangement. Though northern Japan was reeling under storm, I enjoyed stay here at Oita. Coffee machine & drinking water facility also to be mentioned.

Rugby World Cup QF Mania Weekend”
we were lucky to find any hotel room in Oita over the weekend of the RWC Quarter Finals, and we really lucked out with the Hotel Forza which is right in the middle of the restaurants and bars at one end of the covered walkway. It is a short walk from the Bus station and railway station and was an ideal base for the long weekend. The staff, like most in Japan outside the big cities, had very little or very poor English - but still far better than my Japanese.

central location, standard hotel but good value”
The only "problem" I had was the parking which was far and was hard to understand the process of activate it - but a side of this small issue all in all very good hotel. Central location - inside shopping arcade. Reception know English !!!! nice surprise.... Free wine and coffee / drink is lobby. good room size and good bed. Wifi good all amenities are there.....

Booked twin room, gave us double bed”
We booked a room for the rugby world Cup 6 months in advance. We requested a twin room, as it was two mates travelling together. They gave us a double bed, then refused to admit their fault or change the room configuration. Worst hotel staff ever. Didn’t even get an apology, even a half arsed one

Everything was fine room-wise in terms of amenities and services. [I did have problems with the booking since I mistakenly booked the room for the wrong number of people and it took a long time and multiple emails to get a somewhat mixed-message response from Agoda. Anyway, I ended up just going to to the hotel and sorting it out directly when I booked in.] But in terms of the hotel, its location, and pricing - no issues at all - in fact a very pleasant stay overall.
