Worth the Bucks”
I never wanted to spend much on a hotel, especially in Singapore, because mostly I will be out shopping or sight seeing or dining. Usually a hotel with this price range is old, dusty and not strategically located, but this one is different. This hotel presents a hipster/rustic design that is warm, calming, friendly and welcoming. The overall design gives a positive and good vibes. The receptionists are youngsters that are very helpful and friendly. The Indian lady that handled my check in was very clear and thorough explaining little details of the hotels. I was able to get an early check-in about 1030 in the morning, while the usual check-in time is at 2 PM. With your room, you will get a mobile device which you could use to make international call and mobile internet for free, and you can carry it around with you. Too bad I've already bought sim card from the airport, I just knew it when the reception lady explained it to me. I ended up didn't using it, but this is a big plus point. The room I was staying was tiny, only 12m squared, but it is very efficiently planned and designed, so I did not feel cramped. There was no wardrobe, which safe some space, instead there was only a rack with hangers, this I think is a smart move, because I never used hotel's wardrobe anyway. Talking about cleanliness, it was spotless clean, I knew this because I did not have any allergic reaction. My only dislike was the AC, it blows straight on to the head, and there was no control of the swing direction from the remote. But, the room itself is already pretty cool without the AC at night in the hot Singaporean weather, so I ended up not using the AC. You have ice and water dispenser in the hallway, so you can refill your water bottle. The door was not sound proofed enough, so you can hear persons talking or running in the hallway, but it was not a big deal for me. Location wise, it is not dead center in the heart of Bugis. It was 12 minutes walk to Bugis Junction. However, it is
Hotel G is strategically located with easy access to most of the touristic places in Singapore. There are MRT and SMRT stations within easy walking distance from the hotel to get around Singapore. Check in was quick, but surprisingly for a hotel of this price level there was no porter service available to move the luggages around and till the rooms. So it's quite a struggle if you are carrying more than one bag. The rooms at the first instance might seem tight and out of extra space, but it has been cleverly designed and the lack of free space shouldn't really be an issue for organized folks. The rooms are very neat and comfortable and the METIS bathroom amenities seem like premium stuff. The housekeeping staff deserves a special mention for their top notch service of maintaining and cleaning the rooms. Interestingly, the hotel also provides a complimentary unlimited 4G data and local calls equipped smartphone for your stay duration.
Nice and Neat Hotel”
We went to Singapore with our 3 Years old son, the location of the G Hotel is very near to everywhere especially to Bugis street. Convenience store near also, to MRT station is walking distance. There is small Lift to reach the main lift to the hotel room, so it was so easy to us that we didn't need to fold our stroller. Next time we visit Singapore we will consider to stay in Hotel G again.
Choose Hotel G when you come to SG!”
I rarely write accommodation reviews but I would like to share my experience with everyone because staying here was definitely a bang for the buck. The staff were great and friendly and if there is anything to repair in your room, help arrives quickly. It’s within walking distance from shopping areas, restaurants, convenience stores, bus stops, and the MRT station which made my trip a lot easier. I stayed here for 5 nights and I never encountered any problem. Housekeeping comes in daily so you get fresh bed sheets everyday which is beautiful. Moreover, the room’s design was interesting and you get a room exactly similar to the ones in the pictures. The space never felt small to me and I was very contented with it. The atmosphere in the hotel was very comforting and I felt safe. The corridors also smelt great. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Singapore with a contemporary theme, choose Hotel G. :)
Nice hotel in an awesome location”
We travelled to Singapore as a couple for our honeymoon and my wife chose Hotel G based on our discussions on which hotels offer the best location. Hotel G’s “Good” room was not that spacious, but it has anything you need. It’s clean and has water dispenser outside with hot, warm water and ice dispenser as well. The breakfast buffet is cool. They have quite a lot of options and they’re good! We always enjoyed the breakfast. The elevator though takes some time to get people from any floor because omly two were working during our stay. The other one was under maintenance. But it’s cool that you can get gummy bears just before the entrance to the elevator so while you’re waiting, you can enjoy munching these sweeties. If you’re a Filipino, do not expect that they have bidet. Nonetheless, staying at Hotel G Bugis is such an awesome experience.
Great location, nice hotel ”
Location is the best for Hotel G, close to Bugis street and plenty of foodcourt area. The 24 hours Halal restaurant next door is also a plus, you will never starved if you stay on this area. Close to the MRT as well. My wife went shopping on the Bugis junction on our 3rd day, only about 10 minutes away. Housekeeping is also great, always restocked us with plenty of supply of shampoo and soap. We picked the Great G Room, the size is okay comparing to other hotels (ie. Ibis next door).
love this hotel and mostly the location. Room is small but for a solo traveler like me not a issue. Got all the amenities needed like Body wash, lotion, shampoo, brush & toothpaste and a good hair dryer. Good shower with hot and cold water. also a TV with few channels but who cares as you are not here to watch the TV. bed is comfy and ac great. hotel has restaurant in the downstairs where you can have your breakfast and also drinks. Only drawback I would say is the lift, sometimes you have to wait more thn 10mins for the lift. There are 2 MRT close to the hotel, bencoolen and Bugis MRT. Bencoolen is closer though within 6mins walk and Bugis 12mins walk. 24hrs restaurant just beside the hotel. Muslim food is there too. 7/11 is also close by. missed one best part. you will get handy phone in your room with unlimited internet and local calls which you can take outside also with you. so had a great experience with Hotel G. will definitely recommend.
Great Hotel and Location”
Stayed here for a quick layover from my trip to Istanbul, before finally going home to Manila. I found this highly rated hotel in agoda and decided to give it a go. The rates were pretty good considering the location and the hotel's facilities. Check-in was a breeze, the rooms were clean and had a modern industrial vibe. Everything in the room design was carefully planned out. The staff were pretty awesome too, a quick call to the concierge and all my requests/questions are immediately satisfied. There's a bar and restaurant in the ground floor which is pretty cool, but for local eats there's a halal restaurant that is open 24/7 right next to the hotel. As mentioned this hotel is centrally located (near bugis + and bugis junction mall, a few minutes walk away to chinatown too) and is a few minutes walk from the Bencoolen MRT station. This hotel will be top of mind when I come back to Singapore.
Best of the Best”
Had a 3 nights stays in Hotel G Singapore Everything was great, received special Christmas Treats (Krispy Kreme) which did really surprised after a tired day tour in the city. Everything was good, worth the price of staying in Hotel G Singapore Definitely will return again!! Lastly, this hotel deserved a 5-stars !!!
Impressive! It is value for money, considering the location, the facilities and services that Hotel G Singapore provided. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends who will visit Singapore as it is very easy to go around from this hotel. It takes about less than 10 minutes to various MRT stations (e.g., Bencoolen, Bras Basah, Rochor, and Dhoby Ghaut). Although the room is a bit small, but it provides the comfort you need for the night.
Loved our stay at Hotel G during a three day stopover in Singapore. Great location for Hippo buses, MRT and walking to Bugis. Room was small but clean, and we’re usually out all day anyway. No pool but price for a hotel of this standard, in this location, was excellent.
Been here a few times”
Been trying out countless of hotels in Singapore for staycations, as compared to other 5 star establishments, Hotel G is comparable in terms of comfort. Though it is a 4 star property and rooms are rather small, I do not have any major complains, rather I have good feedback to give. Staff: Jacob at the front desk was a man of few words, but he has a smile on all the time and he does his best to impress. He made my 2nd or 3rd (I don't remember) stay with Hotel G much better than my first when it was still named BIG hotel. Rooms: Toilet could be done cleaner and more spotless. As for the room/desk area, no complains as of now. Keep it up! Restaurant: With the introduction of Ginett (I don't know if I spelt that right) The restaurant has been a great addition to the establishment. Just that, breakfast selection feels lazy and bland, nothing special and could be improved. So much potential in the breakfast choices. Overall, there is so much room for improvement even though they are already doing well. Keep it up Jacob and the rest of the staff at Hotel G!
Hotel G is centrally located and a good value for the money. Its food options can be pricey, but this being Singapore, you're a short walk from much more affordable locations (there's a lovely 24-hour Muslim cafe literally around the corner from the hotel's entrance). It's a good location, within walking distance of multiple MRT lines. Forewarning, the rooms are small, but if you're visiting Singapore, you likely aren't spending much time in your room anyway with so much to do.
Good interior, clean room”
Pros: I was blown away by Hotel G. For such a mid-range price you get a top notch hotel. The rooms are beautifully appointed, bed super comfy, location excellent and service above expectations. I will always try and stay here in the future when I come to Singapore - you would be mad not to as well. Cons: Claustrophobic small, . No wardrobe, only a small rack with some hangers. No Refrigerator, Sink is inside the room.
Very good hotel to stay”
Hotel G is one of the best place to stay at Singapore, the foods are good, friendly staffs and the location is near Fu Lu Shou Complex, Bugis market place and also MRT station which can be reach within minutes. At overal i'm very happy to stay here for a while.
We love the service from the staff of Hotel G Singapore. They were friendly and very helpful. Apart from that, the room was in a prestige condition. The size of the room is acceptable if you have traveled to other Asian big cities before. The only star off from our overall impressive star was the entrance. We had to walk through the restaurant and walked up to access the lift.
Two thumbs up for Hotel G”
Hotel G is a great place to stay in when you are in Singapore. The location of the hotel is great and the ambiance is very modern. There is a bar at the lobby of the hotel so the environment is very upbeat and lively. The rooms are very clean and are supplied with a mobile phone which is useful when you want to go around. One of the main highlights of our stay was the hotel staff. They were very friendly and accommodating. For some reason, we were given an upgrade which was surprising and highly appreciated.
Nice boutique hotel at a great location good for short stays”
I stayed in this hotel for a day when I went to Singapore, as in Agoda.com there was a great deal for this hotel and the reviews were good. From the airport, there was no problem as the taxi driver mentioned the address as Middle Road, as I mentioned Hotel G, and he dropped me in Level 2 through a narrow winding driveway. Could be a bit of a problem for all cars to drive through that as after dropped they have to take a U turn, which has a limited turning radius. The drive from airport is about 20 mins. The reception was good as I landed up at around 6.30 pm and they upgraded me from Queen's room to King's room. Still when I entered the room, I was surprised at the smallness of the room, which has a small entrance and opens to a double bed, and below that bed you have to keep your luggage. The space below the bed has the safety locker also, which unlike other hotels, is opens like a cupboard draw, rather than a door. There is a Bible also kept in the safety locker, for whose who are interested. There was a decent table with chair and a small side table where the utilities such as kettle, icebox, cups etc., are kept along with water bottles. when I looked around for keeping clothes, I was surprised to see 4 hangers in the wall in the left side along with a small steel rack. So if you are in for more than 2 days, you may have to keep all your clothes in the open, or inside the box, as there is no covered cupboard. The toilet was in the right, which has a small glass door and there is a bathing place covered with curtain. It was small as well. For people used to bigger rooms, this place could be claustrophobic, in the first instance, like me. Still to their credit, they have utilised every possible space and tried to provide all amenities, to the best extent. The staff are extremely helpful and even when I checked out and came back in the afternoon next day they gave me a room for 15 minutes (strictly) to dress change and come back. For ordering taxis and other help
Staff Friendly, Upgrade to Bigger Room”
Booked G Queen room. Got upgraded to level 16, king bed room. Room was much larger than the G King Room that have stayed few months back. Staff very friendly. Reception lobby at level 2. Taxi dropoff also at level 2. Parking is $15 per day or $2 per hour. Walk 7minutes to Bugis+ shopping mall. Breakfast at $15. There were 3 lift and a trendy gym, free green apples and mineral water.
Excellent experience with Hotel G”
Hotel G is situated in the heart of Singapore and is near to many tourist attractions and shopping malls. The room and services provided are very good. The out of the box service is that they provide us with a smart phone with which you can make calls and access internet. Thank you Hotel G and Agoda
