    Great Location”

    The hotel is in a great location to explore the historic parts of the city. All the hotel staff were amazing and very helpful. The internet was intermittent and the hotel restaurant was just ok but otherwise a great stay.

    Nice hotel, but there are many civil protests”

    We had no complaints about the hotel itself. The facilities were well maintained and the staff were friendly and efficient. However, the first evening there was a large demonstration in the street below our room with lines of riot police being pelted by bottles and trash by shouting demonstrators. We retreated inside and closed our balcony doors against a small amount of tear gas. Over the next few days there were three more demonstrations, although not as dramatic. We never felt in danger. The police seemed very used to this and were calm but determined to control things. Would we stay here again? Yes. All in all, it was great. But when you're a short distance from the seat of national power, expect to see protests.
