A comfortable stay at Hotel Giotto Flavia ”
The stay at Hotel Giotto Flavia was good and value-for-money. Despite it not being extremely close to the attractions, it is a ~15mins walk about from Roma Termini and a less-than-5mins walk away from the closest Metro station (Republica). We decided to walk to Colosseum/Roman Forum anyway and it took us ~20-30mins to get there. The walk, however, was rather enjoyable as the weather was great and we passed by a couple of interesting sights along the way. Along Via Flavia (the street along which the hotel is located), there are a few lovely restaurants and pizzerias, though the closest supermarkets can only be found at Roma Termini. Breakfast -comprising of coffee, croissants, hard-boiled eggs, salami and cheese bread, toasts and fruit punch- is served between 8am-10am and will be brought to you by the lady receptionist. One thing however: As the hotel shares the same building as a couple other hotels, locating Hotel Giotto Flavia proved to be quite challenging when we had first arrived in Via Flavia. The Hotel is located on the 2nd floor and the signs are quite inconspicuous if you're not paying close attention. The room itself was quite spacious, clean, and has a high ceiling. The shower, however, was a little small. On the whole, we would recommend Hotel Giotto Flavia to those who are looking for a relatively inexpensive stay in Rome.

Great value for money”
The hotel is easy to find, located near Temini station. Staff was really friendly and we had no problems regarding communication (they all spoke English well). The room and bathroom were clean and we got new towels daily. When we visit Rome again we will certainly book a room here again.

Great value for money, nice staff, tasteful rooms”
Great! Have stayed in Rome 5 times and this was probably the best hotel. Had a last minute deal (45EU for single room with bathroom) which was super value. 1 bad thing was the minibar didn't work, but was advertised - but the staff offered to store my stuff in the fridge - and the room was so nice I got over it pretty quickly. Highly recommended for the 40-60EU range

All we needed ... good coffee!”
this was a last minute booking because our first hotel wasn't very good ... the price was great, rooms were clean and pretty big, and the free morning breakfast was good. enjoyed the coffee, and held us over until lunch. the location was close enough to roma termini so we walked. close enough the metro, and with a map could walk to the major sites. one annoyance was that the wifi didn't work in our room, and we had to stand in the lobby for internet access.

Lovely and convenient”
Just love it. The room was spacious enough for all 3 of us. Wasnt as noisy as what some of the travellers here mentioned. The lift works wonders for the tired feet after walking all over Rome. Breakfast spread was good. The only complaint i have would be our room was the last one along the corridor and the wifi signal was very weak. I had to sit at the reception to get a good signal which is fine to me anyways. Oh and food is easily available just across the street.

super compared to what provides! ”
i booked due to offer! i was afraid cause of bad comments! if you pay a mormal price maybe you re disaapointed...for euros all seem very good! the breakfast was not wealthy, but it was very good! if you want eggs saucages and fruits search for more stars hotel! all is nice in breakfast and the coffee from machine! yes the elevator is small and noisy...if you care for elevator look for somewhere else...! the entrance is a little hidden, must look a little up for the name of hotel or search exactly by number!!! i wanted a budget hotel for me and girlfriend and we had great time! watch out internet is only in lobby!!! euros 2 persons for 3 days is super! i ll go again! (i believe all small not nice details could be improved...maybe the owner is absent!)most buses pass just a block away in 20 septembre, or metro is near!

Good exterior and cleanness. ”
I like the exterior of hotel, and their will to clean rooms eventhough sometimes it is annoying. Most of the staffs were trying to be nice. But i didnt like the attitude of the cleaner, she wasnt that kind, rather arrogant sometimes. And they are really thorough about breakfast. In one building there are 4 hotels, and they share one diner room, and the foods werent good. Eating their cereals are like eating god food. And coffee was also bad. And due to i am Korean, wifi was terrible for me. We almost coudlnt use the internet unless staying at the reception just for the internet. And they turned on the heater allday, but it was really cold and had really bad scent.

Good Hotel”
1. Location, facilities, amenities, room condition was good. 2. Value for money. 3. Commendable staff: Marco & Mohamed - very courteous and very helpful. 4. One negative input: The cleaner lady who also acts as the front desk officer in the morning and the breakfast delivery person is very rude. My experience, she had asked me to clear my room to be changed to another room in 10 minutes time. When I asked why, she said it is the "Management Decision, go ask them". I was shocked and had to pack my things fast in 10 minutes before being forced to change room. There were no prior notice given. It was the 10 minutes notice in the morning instruction from the very rude cleaner lady. Also initially she didn't want to provide breakfast to me in the morning due to no information given to her. There were some miscommunication and after some persuading and rationalization, she finally agreed to give me some food to eat as per my room entitlement. Maybe she can improve her ethics next time.

Value for money”
The staff are very considerate. When asked if there is a chance to switch rooms due to some considerations, they gave us a better room, a bigger room. The price is just enough.

Small hotel, good value”
This hotel is quite small, it is nit easy to find as the only sign is a small plaque and there are 4 or 5 hotels using the same elevator. Our room was in another building 5 minutes walk away. The room was nice and clean, breakfast was a pain since we had to return to the other building to have it.

It does the job...”
good location- near the central station and walking distance from city center/important sites (~20mins). but, there is no wifi in the rooms. you have to sit downstairs at the reception to get wifi. breakfast was not so great either. the first room we had, the bathroom really smelled. but they were kind and accomadating to let us change the room. reception was also nice enough to let us use their computer to check in for our flights & print it off for free.

Good location, budget hote, staff could be friendlier”
The hotel is value for money, it’s in a great location and has plenty of restaurants and cafes close by, most staff are great except for one behind the desk that was quite rude and argumentative when discussing our booking and whether we were entitled to the breakfast which we had paid for.

Disappointed”
The room is small. WIFI quality is awful. Nothing to be impressed for. If really want to find the good points, I could only point out the friendly staff.

Above average”
When we arrived there, the person at the reception told us she was not informed about the baby and the breakfast that we paid separatley. It was like telling me I'm crazy and I do not know what I bought. After an hour, when we returned to check in, she was like a different person. Everything was ok at once. About the hotel I can say that it has very small and dark rooms.

Centrally Located”
We love the central location of this hotel. It is a NO frills hotel though. Wi-fi can only be accessed from the hotel lobby and it is very weak. Our tour guide called for us for more than five times while we were out but the receptionist never relayed any message.

The hotel was expensive for what it offers”
The building is during renovation procedures, that's why in some rooms the window doesn't open so there is darkness all day. The room was very small , the floor and the bathroom not in good condition. The very tastefull coffee and a croissant it is offered in a bar outside the hotel as a breakfast. The staff Don't speak good English. cleaning Is medium .
