Exceptional”
We stayed one night. It’s in the town center and two doors down from the towns best restaurant (Indian and good pricing). Plus it is very close to The Grand Hotel for the famous High Tea - a must!!! Would stay here again for sure

Almost perfect but the hot water supply.”
We booked a junior suite which is quite big. This hotel is centuries old with many old wares. We really like it. The positive side is that they have nice staff who are very helpful. The British breakfast was great. We took two kids at six with us. The hotel offered separate breakfast wares so kids eat with us for free as otherwise we would have to pay additionally for kids meal. Also, without being asked we were offered an extra bed for my kid for free in the second night , which is very kind. They also gave us an extra blanket upon request. Well for the negative part, I would say that is the hot water supply. In the first night, we finally got hot water for shower, but in the second one, they tried but cannot fix the problem. Only some warm water we got. So, finally we could not take a shower at all. If the hotel invest a bit and fix this, it will be a perfect one.

Cute and quaint stay in Nuwara Eliya”
We really enjoyed this cute, British-style cottage. Service and food were well worth the money, and the location was great and easy to find. It's an easy walk to the town or tea and coffee shops. Definitely recommend it as a good base to explore the area.

Looks better on the web photos than the hotel actually is”
Looks great in photos but rather dull and dingy. We were put in a room that was on the roadside. I asked the staff who acrried our suitcases if there was another room on the quieter gardenside? He went to make enquiries and soon returned saying that all rooms were full. A few minutes later, I saw the staff at the reception desk for something else but also mentioned about the room. He readily said there was another room available on the garden side and we were moved into it. The room looked OK in the first instance but the bathroom was unsatisfacory. The shower could have been better but the most significant problem was a water leak on the floor the source of which I was unable to detect. We simply placed some foot mats on it and informed the front desk. We were out out till late and lfet the following morning. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the town and perhaps 30 to 40 minutes walk from the lake. The hotel has some colonial features including a biliard room upstairs which was left in complete darkness. The bar is small and there was no one using it. There is also a nice looking restaurant which we did not use. We saw just two guests in it. The good thing was that a free accommodation and food for our driver was provided, something that is offered by most 3 star upwards hotels uniquely in SriLanka

Helpful staff”
Stayed here for a night, and the staff went out of their way to make it pleasant for us. They fixed broken things immediately, and gave us a different room when the first had problems. Could always count on the staff to be helpful. The food was good, but there were some misses. Overall, a nice stay, and would consider staying here again.

Lovely older style bungalow”
Stayed here with my husband and Mum for a few nights whilst we were exploring Nuwara Eliya. The hotel has an older style colonial look and feel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Centrally located on the same avenue as the Grand Hotel and the Hill Club. If you cant get a booking at the Grand then this is the next best thing!

Great historical hotel”
Adorable historical hotel in an excellent location! So glad we decided to stay here, and a very helpful staff....and super cozy room. If you like historical charm, this is great value for money and it is just down the road from both the Grand Hotel for their high tea, and the Hill Club.
