I could book a room on a weekend for around rs 1600 including breakfast which is a great deal in a place like pondicherry. The restaurant is decent enough and food also tastes good They have buffet lunch options from around rs 200 and dinner buffet from around rs 300 which is good for budget travellers. Its located centrally and adjacent to the main bus stand and well connected to all parts of pondicherry. Parking might be an issue occassionally but the staff there are good enough to assist you. Rooms were good, spacious and nothing extra ordinary. Washrooms were okay. Its an old hotel and the washrooms show that. Only thing which I didnt like was that the used plates were lying in the corridors outside rooms for more than 8 hours. Rooms were well cleaned with good linen and the ac worked fine

Dear Agoda, Hotel Green Palace, Pondychery failed to take good care of us, the guests, during our stay on 16 Apr.2022 as follows : (1) Hotel took 45 minutes to allocate a room.The hotel took three hours to put-on our room’s fridge after our check-in despite repeated requests. Until then, my parents’ insulin remained un-refrigerated ! (2) Our room was on the 4th floor and in 5th floor conference room, about more than 100 chairs were re-arranged by dragging on the floor and the noise was unbearable and disturbed our peace for over 02-hours in our room in the afternoon. On complaining, the cheeky explanation was “ we stopped it as soon we received your complaint “ ! We would never ever choose this hotel again in our life !

Room given had a garbage dump area view. Room lack of lighting. Wifi speed sucks. You rather have portable wifi modem with you. Breakfast selection is very minimal. Washroom need major upgrade. Rust at most of the place. Will not choose this hotel anymore.

We entered the hotel exactly at 12:50pm in the noon,we were asked to wait for 10 min even after the requested time we were not informed anything we went down and asked the receptionist(Sathya) whether the room is ready instead the receptionist convinced us for waiting so long she was arrogant and not polite enough to handle the customers but believe me we were pleased to be served under the room boy and security guard who were thousand times better than the receptionist who gave us the respect and dignity..end result we will nor refer the ambiance of the hotel with any of our well wishers simply because of the receptionist attitude. Please recruit the people who have patience not the one who fit for fish market job.

PROS: 1. Room was spacious and neat 2. located in center of the city 3. complimentary breakfast was excellent CONS: 1. Toilet was not cleaned properly and we have to wait for 3 hours to use the washroom after check in . 2. All the plumbing works and cleaning were made after we came to our room. 3. Ac control is not in the room and its with the management. found very difficult to turnoff in middle of the night. 4. room phone not working properly and so couldn't connect to reception when u needed. Totally irresponsible front desk and housekeeping. I checked in at 7.30 pm and only finished the long winding check in process at 8 something. When we entered the room the pungent smell, the noise of people cleaning dishes in the kitchen was unbearable. We requested for a room change, the front desk told they will change immediately but I only manage to get a room at 10.30pm and that too after we confronted the front desk. Only after that the started cleaning another room to give us. It took them almost 3 hours to rectify their mistakes at the expense of the guest. Agoda should blacklist this hotel.

Worst don't choose n suffer ”
It's not decent as mentioned in reviews, average hotel, don't go with family with kids...caution... Poor hygiene, they alloted room 2102, second floor, worst not even a gud ventiliation, suffered with baby with pungent odor, I asked for change of room, but they denied, worst... Food don't expect much variety, it's just a idly or upma with little curry tats all... Taste is poor n worst
