Beautiful Bedroom with GREAT View on the lighthouse and port”
I' ve read some bad reviews about Guia Hotel but I got a big discount and chose it : the hotel is modern with a beautiful bedroom with carpet everywhere, good interior design, and awesome view on the lighthouse park and on the port (Room 401). I enjoyed the rooftop terrace very much. People complained they have to climb a hill to access it but it is a tiny steep road. Staff was ok in Guia, staff in Macau do not know the basic rules of hospitality and do not know how to smile, it's a pity... I didn't dare to touch anything in the room because they charge you for anything (noodle cup, snacks, soda, tea...) and they ask a deposit of 500 HKD before you enter the room. Shuttle bus are every hour to Border and Maritime harbor.

You may wish to take hotel shuttle on your first arrive. Quiet and pleasant. Located at the entrance to the hill walk. Walkable distance to the pier if you know the way. Public transport and shops down the hill. Walking distance to many tourist attractions. Hospital a few minutes away. Hotel room with reasonable size. Very little option for dinning/ breakfast in the area.

    comfort, location, service
All in all it was very good. The only thing I wish they improve is for receptionist to smile. The housekeeping staff were very courteous and helpful. The sheets, carpet, bathroom, curtains were all clean. Room doesnt smell good but doesnt smell bad either; a little room perfume would be nice. Toiletries were complete and tub was nice. Toilet doesnt have bidet though but its ok.

    Lovely Hotel and Fantastic Service”
Situated at the Guia Hill near Guia Light House
My stay was pleasant. The room has complete amenities like mini bar, although the Internet connections at the 5th level is not as good as Ground Floor. Definitely, I will recommend this hotel. Its cozy and clean. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. If I go back to Macau, I am definitely gonna book this hotel

Good Hotel and closer to attractions than it seems”
Good Wifi strength and comfortable rooms.
My stay was from 27-30 Dec 2012 and I enjoyed it. Despite pass comments about the reception staff, I have nothing but praise for them. They were accommodating, polite and helpful. For example, I needed a taxi to the airport upon check-out and it was arranged by the front desk without hassle and the taxi arrived in less than 5mins. No additional charges required for calling the cab. While the reception staff were excellent, could not say the same for one of the doorman. He had a mostly hostile look throughout our stay and never once greeted you when u came in/out. There were 2 doormans, so before I put the other guy in trouble, the one I’m referring to was on duty on the morning of 29 Dec. Being the 1st person you see who represents the Hotel, it is really hardly a right way for things to start. One thing to note was that a deposit was required upon check-in, even for Agoda bookings. This was to cover for the items in the mini-bar of your room. So prepare some extra cash for the refundable deposit (USD$100). The other option was to charge it to your credit card (cc). The snag for using your cc was that they will charge MOP$1,000 immediately to your card as compared to the usual practice of just swiping your card with a blank amount and then tearing up the slip after check-out. And the refund of MOP$1,000 would only be done after 1 month’s time. Hence I chose the cash option. The only drawback was that there was no breakfast included with the stay and the room I stayed had a window which looked out to nothing but drain pipes (yup, one of those rooms). And yes, the beds are hard!

Nice & clean, free hourly shuttle bus to ferry”
Very close to Guia Lighthouse, Great Dim Sum !
the hotel is located uphill, which we can take a bus no. 6, 28c, or h1 from the bus stop on the estr.de sao francisco so called s.franscisco/quartel m164 (3.2 mop/person), get-off at the next bus stop named calcada vitoria m150, and walk back to the hotel main entrance. there is a free shuttle bus to ferry terminal every hour, a few of them could take you to the border gate. just ask and reserve in advance and everything would be ok. we got the room no. 510, highest floor, non-smoking, king-size bed, and we appreciated so much because it was clean, nice decoration, enough space for 2 persons & our stuff. we also loved the bathroom amenities as well as the bathtub which we enjoyed and relaxed like we went to the onsen in japan. ^^ brilliant lake restaurant is a must to try. super fresh shrimp dumpling (ha gao), fried spring roll with shred taro, and portuguese-fried-rice were splendid. price was not too expensive. location is quite nice, very close to guia lighthouse and around 15-20 min walk to senado square.

quiet neighborhood, peaceful, clean, nice restaurant, good value
this hotel is located up a steep hill so it's an easy 10-15 minute downhill walk to large resorts like the wynn. room is small but exceptionally clean, in-room wifi is free and decent speed. taxis don't come by too often so its easiest to begin walking downhill, at which time you'll encounter one. service and assistance from the front desk is friendly and helpful. i liked this place and would return.

    Friendly receptionist, good service
althought the beds are kind of small and hard, the room are clean and the hotel looks decent. it's a short walk to some of the main attractions (lisboa, wynn, mgm) and shopping area. i would recommend to walk to the attractions then at the end of the day take a cap home (cheap, 50-70 mop max). i read some reviews about how the staffs spoke "no english." i found that to be false. the 3 staffs i encountered all spoke english pretty well. would really recommend this hotel to everybody.

located on hills, roof top is able to view cityscape of macau
Hotel is nice, but finding the hotel on my own is a problem. Would recommend to take a cab if you are in the city area. Will only cost about MOP13 - MOP20 depends on your boarding point. Met some locals there, saying that chinese restaurant on the ground floor serves good chinese dimsum. didnt try cos always full. Open roof top is the best point for relaxing as the wind is strong and nice (in summer).

The hotel is located up the hill so it'll be nice to stay there as you won't be disturbed by the noise. It's near the town, walk down the hill and you'll reach there. They have all the necessities in the room. Free wifi is available in the room and also in the lobby. I see many people going to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. It does look promising but I never get to try them as we have not enough time.
