Clean and warm”
+ clean, nice rooms + location + hot water in lobby only + breakfast limited but fine - there were no tv and bad wifi
A good and enjoyable stay
Staff was excellent. He was trying his level best to help us n give directions to reach all the attr”
Because of good staff I would go again. Morning staff was really helpful
Never in your life”
The place is located in an unsafe area, the reception desk workers are not helpful at all, if you happen to be a woman have extra careful because they are super ‘Macho’ style and will treat you as an insect. Important socuments dissapeared from my room and they suggested that I was making that up and the man at reception yelled at me openly. Then he blammed the cleaning lady and we had to beg for them to check the rubbish. After an hour of discussion the documents just happened to appear in our room again. Not serious, not safe, dirty, old, horrible people.
The room is very small not including any facility just for sleeping. It suitable for very limited budget travelling
Excellent value for money”
The hotel has a perfect location close to every possible form of public transport. Although it looks a bit antiquated, it is clean and very convenient. Nice size of the rooms and good facilities. Heating was very good, too!
Booked 10 nights! Got the pokiest room 111 possible with view into a shaft producing cigarette smoke air. Dirty looking lace curtains only over the top of shredded venetian blinds affecting privacy with other room windows being opposite. Small table with sticky worn surface, pink upholstered chairs with disgusting stains. 1 glass panel missing out of ceiling light. Both bedside lamps (located below a pelmet above one’s head) didn’t work. 1 had no string to pull, the other had string, but the lamp flickered continuously, making a disconcerting sizzling sound. Shower curtain pulled off its eyelet hooks, ie torn out of them. Basin soap and shower soap came from a hard-to-squeeze bottle; one pities people with arthritis etc. and the setup is unhygienic anyway. One could hardly turn inside the shower/toilet facility. General toilet facility and basin opposite the entrance to room 111. Couldn’t place one suitcase anywhere to access other than on bed. 4 coat hangers in wardrobe. More..
all you need public transport at door
Good price, good stay”
It is an old hotel. What I like about it is the cleanliness. The bed was comfortable because the sheets were clean. The bathroom small but it was clean. Heater in the room worked very well. Staff were friendly. The location is about 5-7 minutes walk to the main train station. Just opposite the hotel is the tram which can also take you the the main station.Convenience stores nearby.
Very good !”
Convenient location (5-7 min walk to a metro station ), helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Recommended! :)
Very nice hotel”
This was nice and super value for money.. clean everything and the location is near the metro
Little run down....”
The price made this most attractive for our choice. It is convenient to the subway and the tram to the center of downtonw was right outside of the hotel. Also there are markets and restaurants nearby. Also the staff spoke English well and were generally helpful. BUT, the hotel is showing its age. Chipped paint on the walls in our room, stained carpet, creaky floors, clogged sink and shower drain, the bed was HARD and old key techology. We got what we paid for and if these things are tolerable, it would be OK.
The breakfast should be paid extra ”
We were there for a couple of nights and the hotel was as good as the price. However, they asked to pay separately the costs of breakfast, despite they were included in the init Price. 50 euros of disappointment
A bit noisy during the night time”
We've traveled with family, our room was chaos during our stay. A lady shouted really aloud and ran around above our level. We could not sleep during the night. The staff had less knowledge regarding to the booking, even don't know we've booked two room or four people in a room. Many way to improve their service and facility.
Bad location and dispointed service”
No bottle, wifi is really slowly, the window is broken
Nice, Simple Hotel”
Value for money. Good location from Wien Westbanhoff.
Good place to stay”
Vienna metro is good. If you do not care whether it takes you 5 or 15 minutes to get to the places you need, you should not doubt picking this hotel. When you arrive to the final stop Ottakring on U3, keep the direction the train was going, go downstairs, turn over your left shoulder and you'll see the Huttengasse sign. Out of the door go right and in a few meters you are on Huttengasse. Walk one block back towards the centre, turn right to Rankgasse, walk until Maroltingergasse and you'll see the hotel sign on your left. It takes less than 10 minutes. Man in the reception was friendly, I got the room with internet through cable which worked OK, didn't try wifi. There's a Billa foodstore on your way to the hotel on Huttengasse and Spar across the intersection. Also a kebab place next to Spar and Chinese take-out along Rankgasse. Did not buy hotel breakfast, so cannot comment on that. There was no refrigerator neither coffee-maker in the room, but that was OK with me. Overall, what I needed and booked this hotel again for my next stay.
Nice hotel with good public transport network”
very well organized hotel with a lot of helpful information. no communication problem as the staffs speak english perfectly. very good public transport network where you can take the 48/46 tram to the metro station or directly to the old city centre.
very good value for the price”
We were very comfortable at this hotel, found it to be quiet and clean, but it is located far enough from the city center that if you don't know Vienna well, you might have trouble with navigation. That said, the public transportation in Vienna is so good that if you get a good map, you can take the buses or trains to get anywhere you need to go. Just takes a good tour guide (we had a friend along who knew the city) or a good map.
Calme et agréable ”
