This hotel is located on a side street within walking distance to the Hakata Station. Excellent choice if one does not like to stay right in the busy areas of tenjin, etc. Complimentary onsen is well-maintained (though max. 6 person at any one time). Room is more spacious than other japanese hotels of the same grading. Design of the room and hotel; the cleanliness of the rooms, common spaces and onsen; helpful staff service are all proof of the hotel management's overall excellent efforts. Please keep up the good service standard.
Beware solo room no visitor policy”
Rooms were clean and comfortable, just a little small. Nice having onsen in the building. Staff spoke minimal English. Only complaint here is that visitors are not allowed in the solo rooms, even friends visiting room for minutes. This is a ridiculous policy that should be changed.
Fantastic customer services!:) ”
We often stayed at this hotel. However this time we felt the beds were rather uncomfortable compared the last few times. Tried breakfast for the first time. Food was not bad and good spread for Japanese breakfast! Worth the price 1296yen!
Convenient location, but carpark is somewhat expensive.”
It is located quite near to major JR station, very convenient for shopping and moving around. Didn't expect hotel in urban area would have hotspring, so it is a plus for us (though it is like hot swimming pool instead). Polite staff and clean room (quite spacious). But for those who will drive around, the hotel do not have a car park, you have to park half block away from the hotel, and coz it charges.
Great Hotel in Hakata”
The hotel is very accessible and walking distance from hakata station and canal city. The front desk lady was very nice and very accomodating. I enjoyed our stay here. Room is ok and clean. I will definitely recommend and stay again here.
Clean and worth the money”
The hotel slightly further than the station around 10 minutes walk with luggage. Staff very friendly and service is very good. I've arrived at the hotel with my friend a bit drenched by a sudden heavy rain and the staff has offered both of us towel to wipe off the water. Touched by the gesture. Worth the money.
Good hotel if you have a reason to visit”
First of all, I regret going to Fukuoka in the first place. You should probably consider spending your time in Japan elsewhere. With that being said, if you're already in Fukuoka for some reason (business probably) then Hokke Club is indeed a very nice place to stay. It's located within walking distance of the JR, the room is huge and is pretty cheap for what you get. Breakfast is very satisfying. Staff are friendly, though level of English could be better. WiFi is free and works but seems to be speed-limited. Good enough for browsing and mail but not HD streaming or that sort of thing. One quirk is that you have to leave your key at the front desk each day if you want your room made-up. A little annoying but you get used to that.
Good sized room and great location ”
Room size is bigger than most Japanese hotels. Excellent location to public transport and airport. Clean. Onsen for females is quite small. Used once only Front desk staff speak very limited English. Overall, good value for money.
The hotel and room look so clean and new, and some of staffs can speak more Japanese and English. all of staffs are very polite.
Can be better ”
Location is further from Hakata Station, about 10min walk so not ideal if you have heavy luggage/shopping bags/ after a long day out. The interior of room is abit dated, and not sound proof as we can hear the other room’s shower. We booked this hotel because of the bath house facility but during check in, we were told that the female bath house is closed for renovation. We didnt see this info on Agoda app at time of booking. Upon our feedback, the hotel staff who attended to us lost, unable to address the issue. We arrived in the late evening, tired from our commuting, and yet we were made to wait at the reception because the staff is unable to handle our question. After some confusion and time wasted, another staff came out with intent to prove us wrong as she took an iPad and started searching Agoda website when all we were expecting is a sincere apology or a small token of free coffee or breakfast to make up for it.
Clean, nice staff”
Few minutes from hakata station
The hotel is conveniently located near JR station.”
Car park is not nearby. Check out time is a bit too early which is 10 am. However, Staff are friendly and helpful.
Only stayed one night but was good. A little far from the train station by walk but bus is available. Good location for the airport bus! The onsen was nice! Comfy bed. A little pricey for what it was but overall was happy with the room.
Need to leave the key with counter every time you go out and show your room pass to get the key is a bit inconvenient. Would be better if they use room card system. Room layout was good and felt more roomy than other chain hotels. Room was a bit pricey but not sure if due to weekends and new year eve. There's a bus stop nearby with direct bus to Fukuoka airport which is convenient as you don't have to walk all the way to Hakata station for train to airport or take the bus from the bus terminal which tends to be crowded as most people board there.
convenient city hotel”
nice and helpful staff, double rooms not so small, within 10 minutes to Hakata Station and Canal City, on-site onsen for female can serve 3 persons and male one can serve 7 persons at the same time but I think the water in the onsen is just ordinary water, no skin reaction, breakfast cost 1080 yen was a little bit disappointed. The most negetive thing is the quilts are too small and short.
Nice Hotel and Helpful Staff”
Due to compassionate reasons, I need to change my flight and my stay to return earlier. The hotel helped to book the night for me and Agoda helped me to confirm the one night booking change and refund me the other 2 nights booking. This is a very nice gesture of both the hotel and Agoda. Thank you.
the breakfast was very impressive, location was good, room was clean, and public bath was ok, one big problem was my room was assigned at the end of the corridor, so the wifi was terribly weak, i didnt like that
The hotel is in the middle of Hakata Station and Canal City. It takes 6-8mins to Hakata station and 5-6 mins to Canal City. Opposite to hotel, there is a 7-11 which is convenience for us to buy snacks and water. Hotel Staffs are nice and helpful.
The hotel has an excellent location. It's near the metro but just a good distance to be quiet and comfortable. The staff are very friendly. Overall the hotel is bright and clean except the carpet in the room.
Great Hotel close to Hakata station”
I spent 4 nights at this budget hotel, and it was well worth the 9,000 - 10,000 yen per night rate. The hotel is only 10 mins walk away from Hakata station (the main train station in Fukuoka) and is located close to many restaurants. The rooms are cleaner than most budget hotels in Japan, and the staff was very friendly and helpful during my stay. There is also a Japanese bath on the basement level if you want to let off some steam.
