Grand hotel with excellent view of Gwangan Bridge”
Hotel Homers is located right at the front of Gwangan Beach, and thus has a great view of Gwangan Bridge if you get the beach view room. We are avid photographers and it was great having such a great shooting point in the comfort of our own room! The hotel itself is grand, and the room is spacious, well maintained and very classy. I loved this hotel, but there are two downsides. One - despite its grand appearance, this was one of the few hotels without its own wifi access. We had to go to the cafe next door in order to message our friends. The second con is the long walk from Gwangan Station to the beach and hotel. Taking a taxi would be much better with luggage. Overall, great hotel!

Outstanding hotel, lovely view”
This is an outstanding hotel. You can walk to inexpensive and excellent Korean and western food, coffee, shopping, etc. It's a 6-10 minute walk to the subway station. And you're literally across the street from the beach. I recommend paying the extra and getting an ocean-view room. The view of the bridge is to die for, and at night the quotes in English and Korean scrolling Star-Wars-style across the beach are fascinating to look at. You will find many cheaper options in Busan, but most of them are love motels with thin walls, noise, etc. Hotel Homers is classy and convenient to everything.

Hotel right beside the beautiful Gwanganli Beach”
My friend and I stayed at Hotel Homers for 2 nights. It was our first time in Busan and we wanted to stay somewhere near the beautiful beaches. Hotel Homers was right beside the famous Gwanganli Beach and we have a fantastic view of the Gwangan Bridge from the front entrance of the hotel for the two nights we stayed there. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the nearest subway station - Gwangan station, which could be a little far. We did not manage to book a twin room with sea view as the rooms were fully booked. Our business city view room was spacious and clean. Only thing that did not meet our expectations was the wardrobe. The room does not have a wardrobe. There were just four hangers on the wall for us to hang up our clothes. Overall, we had a pleasant stay in the hotel even though if I were to stay in Hotel Homers again, I would like to try booking the room with sea view as I believe the view at night will definitely be fantastic:)

Beautiful room, excellent service”
i came to hotel homers with my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary. the room was large and beautiful with hardwood floors. everything was clean. the best part of the room was the huge window overlooking the ocean. to have a view like that for a reasonable price was a nice surprise. we didn't have many requests, except for extra towels, but that was dealt with promptly and politely. the restaurant in the hotel was way overpriced, but that's the only negative i can think of. great stay.

Great location with a stunning view!”
I live in Busan and was showing my parents around the city for a week. We stayed at the Homers Hotel as I knew the view would be fantastic, and the area is great for restaurants and nightlife. The room was very large and comfortable. The lighting was a bit poor and there was no wifi connection in the rooms. Other than that, a great stay. The lit up bridge at night is stunning and being able to walk along the beach, light fireworks, and barhop until bedtime is very convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Regular visitors to Busan, first time Homers Hotel”
We stayed one night with our 6 months old boy. We used to stay at Toyoko-inn, but since we have a baby we decided to try a hotel with larger rooms. Hotel Homers was a good alternative to try, since the location at Gwangan-li beach is superb. Room was large but a bit outdated. There was no in-room internet and the external network (Olleh Wifi, 3 USD per 24hrs) was not strong enough for my cell phone to connect. My laptop could connect. There was no shampoo on the room. Bathroom was clean but again, a bit outdated. Staff is friendly and speaks sufficient English. Though we get around in Korean as well, I did not have to speak it with them. Hotel Homers would be considered an upscale local hotel, right at a bay with a massive suspension bridge which is beautifully lighted at night. However, we think that their rooms are slightly outdated and there maybe other options which are similar priced and better. For instance Riviera Hotel in Haeundae seems an equally affordable but better choice.

Amazing Views and Location”
Deluxe double, although sparsely furnished, has massive bed and full picture window looking onto the beach. Breakfast buffet better than adequate but room for improvement given the price if not included. Walking distance (10 min or less) from Gwangan metro. Excellent restaurants just outside the place and excellent location at the near the beginning of the beach front road. Taxi to Haeundae about 7,000 won or just a few stops on the subway. Friendly staff, sauna and gym 9,000 won each. Excellent cafe downstairs with open air beach front seating next to the road. Would return.

A basic room with a Billiant Beach View ”
hotel homers, is the most luxury hotel for my trip, i meant the price. once i arrived, i was surprise that "gwangalli eobang festival" was just held downstairs. & from my room, i was able to enjoy the whole scene of the festival. the night view is so adorable! i love it! this deluxe double is so spacey, but lack of in-house facilties. i couldn't believe the quality of those shower, it just don't fit into the room. and with the price i paid for the room, it is so pissed me off, while all shampoo/conditioner/tooth brush/tooth paste are priced individually inside the room !! overall, i do love the scene of gwangalli beach! enjoy those lively environment ! enjoy the cheerful street downstairs ! but, it do located abit far from metro ~~~ gosh ~~~ but, what about those few steps of stairscase in the entrance ? i hate that !! it made me drag my suitcases up and down !! price of rooms are really fiexable!! there is different prices listed in the hotel, at front desk, beside the main door !! interesting !!

Perfect location”
We enjoyed our stay immensely. They origanlly put us in a different room then I booked and immediately changed it. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I LOVED the location. Being able to watch the light show from our hotel window was wonderful. The breakfast buffet was great and I loved all the dining options surrounding the Hotel. If we make it back to Busan we will definitely boon this hotel again. Cons. The floors were dated but expected for hotel near the beach and hated the floor windows that opened (I have a 9 month old and stressed the whole time that he'd fall out).

Nice Room with View at the Gwangli Beach ”
the room was pretty big and nice. gwangli beach is just right in front of the hotel. take a night stroll along the beach and enjoy the beautiful lighted gwangan bridge. the city tour bus stop was right in front of the hotel. very convenient. just hop on to the city tour bus and it will bring it too all the famous attractions in busan. there are many pubs & cafes along the beach. those who enjoy nightlife will love it here. the hotel was however very far from the nearest train station. it will take about 20 mins walk.

Wonderful view, location and service!”
we stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. hotel homers is an aging building, so it doesn't lend itself to a luxurious feeling.....however, the view and service certainly made up for that in our eyes. and the location can't be beat. just a few steps out the front door and you're on the beach, the evening brings on beautiful lights across the bridge and on surrounding buildings, and you'll have to stay for several weeks if you want to try every restaurant on the gwangalli strip.

Quality hotel, shame the service wasn't scratch”
Beautiful hotel with fab views and spacious rooms. For the room price I would have expected at least complimentary breakfast but all extras - food/laundry etc came at extortionate cost in comparison to local prices. Service generally was poor- hotel amenities were not explained on arrival and the greetings from all but housekeeping were frosty at best. I felt I was inconveniencing front of house staff when I asked a question. The hotel will sell itself - the location, well stocked gym and beautifully maintained rooms are a major plus but the poor service was very off putting and would deter me from returning to Hotel Homers again.

BEACHFRONT HOTEL”
The hotel is just in front of Gwanganri Beach. The view is very nice if your room is facing the ocean view. The bridge lighted up in the night very beautiful. Bathing area is abit old but room size is big. Walk quite a distance from Gwangan station. Taking luggage would be much better with taxi. Overall great hotel.

Great Hotel by the Beach”
We had a great week long stay at Hotel Homers. A short 10 minute walk to the subway. The beach was right outside the door. Great area for nightlife, restaurants, coffee shops. Our room was one of the largest rooms and would have comfortably fit 3-4 people, double bed and a queen. Helpful staff. The only negative would be that there was only wireless internet in the lobby and not in the rooms. This would greatly add to the comfort of an international stay.

Pretty awesome really”
Look, I've read a few bad reviews on here. Things about the rooms smelling like smoke, or the service was crap or whatever. The bottom line was I checking and checkout took five minutes each for me, and the guys at the counter were run off their feet with phone calls and paperwork as well as customers. My room didn't smell of smoke, even though it had an ash tray in it. I heard that the restaurant was bad so I ate my meals out, and good gracious that was a good decision, there was so much to choose from. Even for breakfast there was a great buffet just down the street (to the right along the beach) with a view and amazing service. All up we were on the 13th floor, our room was today and the linen clean. Yes this hotel is a bit old, and there is some natural wear and tear to be noticed if you're looking. But the room was a huge size, the tv worked, there were enough power points, there lights had dimmers, and the view was incredible. And I really mean that. Outside there was tonnes to do. We went for some nice walks with magnificent views and lighthouses only a small taxi fare away, we went shopping in this famous district, and were pleasantly surprised by a parade of traditional things from the local schools (possibly for Buddahs Birthday). The beaches wre beautiful and full of fun things to do, including kayaks, paddle boarding, and a student theatre. The locals were really friendly and my girlfriend pointed out that they had a cute accent. There was also a feeling of multi-culturalism from the amount of foreigners we came across. Busan is truly amazing. Beautiful. I never knew Korea had a place like this. I want to live there. We had a blast, not a bad experience to be had between us.

A price for the beach”
I enjoyed Hotel Homers primarily for its location to Gwangalli Beach and the Millak Raw Fish Centre. Public buses that lead to other attractions in Busan are a walkable distance from the hotel but taking a taxi may be a more convenient option. Gym and sauna facilities are also available at a fee.

Great location, good service”
probably they hired all english speaking people pf gwang an area. most staff spoke english (with different degree of difficulties). very good gym, encourage to try breakfast buffet (i stayed previously in other hotels in busan and breakfast was not near close to the one in this hotel). about 5-10 mins walk from subway - very convenient.
