                Excellent location. Friendly staff. Room is clean and tidy. Forget about the breakfast though. They shd just cancel the continental breakfast as the time is short only 7-9am. And there little to choose from.. Just toast and raw eggs to be cooked vi's the microwave. Other than the dismal breakfast offering, I think this hotel is great for sightseeing as it is so close to insadong Street and the wonderful side street which I mistook for hanok village. Many fashionable cafes in there and great for people watching. The young Koreans are such eye candy...

                A warm and comfortable stay in the winter”
                Hotel Icon is always our family's favourite choice in Seoul because of her hospitality. This is the second time in a year that we visited Seoul. We spent 7 nights out of the 11 days in Hotel Icon. For a family of 6 adults who aged from 40 to 70, Hotel Icon was perfect for our needs. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and amazingly quiet as compared to the other hotel we had stayed in Dongdaemun during the first half of the trip. The facilities and toiletries provided in the rooms were sufficient which made the stay in the hotel very comfortable. The breakfast area which is also the common area, became a relaxing gathering place for us after a whole day of walking and sightseeing. The location is also perfect for us, as said in my earlier post, it takes only 7-15 minutes to walk to the 2 nearest subway while there are plenty of taxis waiting outside the nearby Hotel IBIS.

                Great budget hotel”
                well-maintained budget hotel, rooms are clean, the mini garden at the penthouse is a good place to chill and have coffee with friends or family. Location is very near Insadong shopping street.I highly recommend this place!

                Unexpected but unique”
                I was overexpecting of this "hotel". This hotel is more like a studio apartment or flat style. It has small reception and small room, and located slightly hidden (between buildings). There are not much facilities of hotel here. But please don't jump to conclusion. This place has it's own unique charm. Although the room is small, it is sufficient for solo traveller and you don't have to share toilet unlike staying at hostel. This hotel is also has good value for money too. Despite being in Seoul, the surrounding of the hotel is calm and peaceful for me. You can even go to their top floor to enjoy the view of the area, the cool air and the mini roof garden. The major pro of this place is of course, it is located near Insadong (great place to buy souvenirs) and 10-15 minutes away from the famous Changdeokgung, Gyeongbukgung and Bukcheon Hanok Village. If you are okay with walking, you can even walk to Cheonggyecheon Stream, Myeongdong and Namsan Cable Car Station.

                The room was way too small - the shower was over the sink which meant we couldn't really use it. Upon check in at 5 pm the room wasn't ready! Breakfast was probably the worst - the doors wouldn't open and it was pretty suffocating inside would definately Ayah elsewhere
