Lovely hotel in a great location”

location, ambience, rooftop lounge

i was in san diego for a conference at the convention center earlier this month, and all the conference-recommended hotels were very expensive or booked. luckily, i found this hotel, and i couldn't have been more pleased! it's just 1/2 mile from the convention center (closer than some of the other conference hotels), 2 blocks from petco park, and a few blocks more from the center of the gaslamp district. the staff was very nice, and my room was beautiful. for anyone who's environmentally conscious, this was san diego's first leed-certified hotel!

Good value for money”

location, friendly staff, cozy room

I checked in on Dec 25th and checked out on Dec 28th. My stay was overall good. Room was immaculate. Staff was all helpful and friendly. The only downside was the very pricey parking fee in hotel ($41/day). Thus, I decided to park somewhere a couple of blocks away from the hotel which costed $15/day. I got terrible experience during my stay in San Diego. I parked my car across the left side part of hotel building. Unloaded stuff, checked in, went to restaurant and went up for a little while. I came down to move the car, however, to my surprise, it went missing. My car got towed away!! I was oblivious of parking my car in front of someone else's driveway. The african american staff on duty in the middle of night 25th to 26th was extremely helpful. He helped me contact towing company, police department and a cab driver. I regret not to figure out his name. I thank him and appreciate his assistance. Ended up paying $318 to redeem my car from the mafia towing company.

Centrally Located, Poorly Sound Proofed”

Location, Staff

The experience at the Gaslamp Quarter was sadly disappointing. First of all, the price of the hotel was not the most economical to begin with. To add to that, there is a parking charge of 39usd/night which adds to the costs. There is no other way to park nearby the hotel as overnight parking is prohibited on the streets around it. Although the valet stuff are well mannered and friendly, the 39usd/night isn't worth it still. The rooms are decently sized with a large bathroom. However, the sound proofing of the hotel rooms in general was questionable. The noises from both the neighboring hotel room and the city streets proved to be disturbing many a times. The only saving grace was that the hotel was located off from the main street (Market St) which meant that the traffic volume was generally low at night. And at 10 floors up, the traffic noises can be clearly heard during the morning period. Lastly, the hotel did not have a refrigerator which is presumably the basic necessity for any other hotel in this time and age. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were so soft that it was almost non-existent. In summary, good location of the hotel as it allows 8-12 mins travel to most attractions in San Diego. However, the abovementioned details were so bothersome that it became an unpleasant experience as an overall.

Excellent”

First time to book at indigo. Arrived at 1pm from a long flight. Glad they have the room ready so as not to wait til 3pm which is their standard check in time. Room was big. No problem with wifi. Restaurants at gaslamp area just a walking distance. Theres a grocery, bakery and starbucks at the back, on the 10th street. Most importantly, staff were kind. Frim the valet parking boys to front desk staff. Just wished they had discounted price for checked in guests for parking.

Location is in the heart of the gaslamp quarter. Self parking nearby (614 Market Street) would be probably cheaper than using their valet services. Lobby is pretty nice, frontline staff pleasant. Rooms are spacious enough, if somewhat oddly shaped. Floor was a bit dusty. Lobby area is pretty nice, rooms are spacious, floor however is dusty

Pleasantly surprised ”

Nice big room, modern and clean. Location was great, walking distance to the heart of gaslamp. Parking was very expensive but that is in keeping with parking throughout the city. A parking garage behind the hotel was about $25 a night.

One night stay”

As a family we stayed here the night before our flight home. Paid for a higher up/view room which meant we could see the Petco Stadium from the window. The rooms are modern and spacious and look really nice. Very easy to walk to all the restaurants nearby and a very short drive to the airport. We have stayed at an Indigo hotel in Anaheim previously and both hotels have been great.

Great Hotel with chic rooms”

Very unique boutique hotel

Absolutely loved this hotel, great lobby, nice rooms and the bed is really comfortable. Not your typical lux hotel with the grand pillars etc, simple no frills but extremely well put together. Service staff were great as well and we would definitely go back if we were back in town.

Loved this hotel and its style and vibe. Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Only thing that was inconvenient was the lack of a mini fridge in the room. I was staying for 7 days and wold have liked to have some basic groceries or to save leftovers.

Great hotel”

Hotel was great, especially due to the location. However, our bed was very unstable and any tossing or turning in the middle of the night and the whole bed would shake and would wake the other person up. Also, very easy for people to see through your windows which can be a little uncomfortable given buildings are so close together in SD.

had a wonderful time at this hotel”

Things are new ; clean ; and friendly staffs

Stayed at this hotel with 3 adult and a 2 yr old. We were here for the zoo which is about 45 minute drive. A walkable distance to downtown for a huge variety of food. The only down side is parking, not inclusive, but theres a parking lot down 2 blocks - $11-$13 24 hours (if i remmber correctly) Overall, had a pleasant stay.

Amazing! Fantastic. Luxury to the max.”

I chose this one because my venue was nearby. The area is a bit rough around the edges but the hotel, OMG, what a treat. I did not want to leave. The bed was soft, the decor was cool. I really enjoyed it. There was also easy access to metro/bus/taxi.

Disappointed that hotel of this price range does not even offer free bottle water in the room or toothbrushes, things that are standard even in 3-star hotels in Asia! Beware that sound transmits easily through large gaps under doors!

An unfair introduction ”

This was a first visit for me. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. However this was their first day reopening after the Covid closure so everything just felt a little off. The gym was closed, pool closed, no refrigerators in the rooms was a bit of a surprise too. Overall, it was a lovely stay and a great rate for the location.
