Good stay in central location. Rooms vary in size and price so you get what you pay for. Rooms have a safe. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Breakfast is available however the rooftop bar was out of action.
Good value with great location to get anywhere.”
Enjoyed this hotel. They have a great location to get around anywhere. Metro and Bus . This Hotel is in the heart of Las Rambla. Rooms were good for the value. Breakfast was very nice, I was there for 4 days. Rooms clean no luxury.
Nice Room in La Rambla”
We had a room with a view of La Rambla. The balcony was nice for people-watching. Staff was very helpful in every way. Since La Rambla is a very touristy area where theives thrive, we were particularly surprised to have come back to our room and found the door was not properly closed, presumably by the cleaning staff. Nothing was lost or taken. This one incident could not discount the kind of customer service we got from the staff during our stay. Will definitely come back.
check your reservation list constantly”
But,I would prefer the staff to check their reservation constantly. I made a reservation and this reservation was confirmed cancelled. and again I made a new reservation with a different type of room at agoda and agoda made this reservation thru booking .com so presumably my only booking is this booking ,com but when we arrived at the hotel they gave me a room corresponding on my cancelled reservation saying they don't have any available room, as we were tired from a long journey we took it. the next day as we were expecting to have a room change basing from my new reservation, I was told that i have 2bookings . this 2 booking: one for agoda and one for booking .com are 2 non refundable reservation. I explained that I didN't made any reservation at booking .com.the staff compared my agoda copy's and the hotel booking com reservation copy, it was cleared that the 2 reservation have the same number, so the staff cancelled the agoda and I only have to pay the booking com. whose fault is
The WORST hotel experience”
AC didn’t work, bathtub had drain issues that couldn’t be fixed, walls were paper thin so we could hear everything from the other rooms, reception staff was NOT HELPFUL and refused to change the room. No elevator to take up luggage, hotel and rooms were very dirty. This should be considered a 1 star hotel, it has been the worst experience we’ve ever had. We want our money back
Great location. 2 star hotel at best.”
Rita and the other older man working during the day are useless unless you speak Spanish. The usual smug attitude. The young guy that works the desk at night was very nice and helpful. Rooms need a lot of basic maintenance that is not getting done Also the ac is not cold at all. We has to sleep with the door open to cool off and heard partiers screaming all night. But excellent location.
Very good location, you won't get hungry since it's so close to the food market.
The hotel stay was generally good. The location was superb. You’ll have a good view of the ramblas area as it’s just there. Parking would be difficult though as there was no parking space. Given that it’s a busy area. You’ll have to be extra careful when bringing down your luggages. The room was a bit small. The basic facilities were there. But you barely have a space for your things. The room though was not sound proof so you’ll have shouting during the wee hours of the morning. I was in 2nd floor, and though there was a lift, there were still some few steps that you have to step on as some parts of level 2 has mezzanine of sort. So if you have a heavy luggage, it might be a struggle. The staff was so nice. They were English speakers, thus conversation was easy. They helped me on some tips and places to go in Barcelona. The food was good. The buffet spread was commendable. I would come back just for the food really.
The location for this hotel was the best! Staff were extremely friendly and so helpful, possibly the nicest I have been during our 5 weeks European journey! Rooms were small, but I expected that staying in the city and was not bothered by that at all. The only thing was the bed, which was horrible. Could feel the springs protruding out from the mattress into my back and woke up in pain throughout the night and into the morning. I still have a sore neck and back even though I am not sleeping there anymore. They were fully booked so we were unable to change rooms. If there was a different mattress I would recommend everyone to stay there!
Great hotel in a fab location. Our room with balcony opened right onto La Rambla. Sound proof doors kept the street noise out at night. Lovely old building modernised but still kept some beautiful old features. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. The only negative is that the room did not contain a safe for storage of valuables.
Hotel La Ramblas”
Hotel is conveniently locate along La Ramblas street which is very accessible from the Airport Bus and walking distance from the Cruise port. Very near the metro station. Staff are accommodating and friendly. I accidently left my shoes in the hotel and we were able to get it back with the staffs assistance. BR, Karen
Great location and the room was quiet”
This is a fabulous hotel, the subway stops right in front of it and to get to the airport you just walk to the end of Rablas st and get on the airport bus. The room was small but the balcony made up for it and the room was quiet which surprised us. Excellent breakfast
Staff was very helpful in getting us in accommodations that were best suited to our needs. We applaud the hotel for renovating the rooms to conform with the buildings original structure. The result is cleanness, comfort with a modern twist while respecting the buildings history. Makes each room unique.
GREAT LOCATION AND CHIC STYLE”
HOTEL IS OF EXCELLENT LOCATION AND RAMBLE STREET VIEW IS GREAT. THE LOBBY AND ROOF IS NICE AND RELAX. RESTAURANT IS BEAUTIFUL . CHIC DESIGN . TV IS NOT WORKING AND LITTLE DUSTY CABINET. RESTAURANT ON OPPOSITE STREET - CULLERA DE BOIX RESTAURANT IS EXCELLENT AND GOOD PRICE. MUST TRY.
Suitable for the occassion”
Great location, hotel staff friendly n helpful. The only gripe is you cannot use the terrace facility, despite being a paying customer. Considerations should be given to paying guest. Other wise suitable.
Love this Hotel!”
This was our second stay. The location is the best if you like being in the very Center of the action. The Staff was very very helpful. The rooms have been remodeled. My only complaint would be the price for a Saturday night which was double than a week day night.
We stayed for 4 nights. Think it is a bit expensive. Did not have breakfast included, but plenty of shops nearby. The Cool room with Rambas view was big enough. We had no street noise with windows closed. No coffee making facilities or fridge. Staff friendly. Room was clean. Overall good stay
9 days booking”
everything is good regarding the hotel location cleaness and very helpful staff. Unfortunately before booking i made sure that the rooms are air conditioned, it turned out they only have heating system and not cooling which was really really bad and hot!
I stayed for a very short time but it was obvious that the staff were giving me the best experience and reception. The ground floor entrance is small but the hotel was surprisingly large from the first floor upwards. The reception and floor staff were very welcoming and polite despite the language barriers. I loved my view of the Vibrant Ramblas. There is so much to see and do in this street. Its a24hour buzz! Lots of restaurants The room was a standard size and very clean. It is exactly halfway from the two main squares- Catalonia and Christopher Columbus. Easy to walk with baggage from either end. So you can ramble either way. The metro is at the entrance. You can get there from the airport by bus or metro. My mother and I are grateful for the good start to our cruise.
Perfect locaton but not worth the money”
The hotel is located right on La Rambla, right in front of the subway station, easy to get to and easy to get around. We had a street view window, it was nice to watch the action and surprisingly not noisy. The staff at the hotel were exceptional and went out of their way to help us with everything. That said the internet didn't work in the room even though we were on the first floor and barely worked in the lobby. We had a standard room and it was well worn and a bit grubby and smelly. It would have been OK at say 50 EURO a night but was not good value at almost USD 150 per night.
